Visitor Reviews of Blossom Plantation Pods

Date of stay: 2nd June 2022
The lodge was comfortable and clean with a great view of the lake. Great having jacuzzi under cover as it was raining but great relaxing with a glass of fizz. Definitely recommend to friends and family. On the pricey side for 2 nights stay but worth the experience.

An idyllic and peaceful break away in the Sunset Studio pod. My husband and I had a 2 night honeymoon break here and it was heavenly. The pod itself is tastefully decorated and positioned with wonderful views over the pond. It is a very quiet location and being adult only meant we could relax with just the sounds of nature around us. Hot tub was sunken on the patio so you could enjoy the views while soaking in the tub. Only points to note is it is a very steep step into the hot tub (could do with an extra step in it) and you can't control the heat (it was 45 for the whole stay) Bed is advertised as a king size four poster and while luxurious, we would say it is more the size of a double. Overall it is a wonderful location, fabulous site and we will definitely return

Beautiful place to stay great location with lots of things to do. We stayed in the bout house 1 which is a smaller one was still a perfect size and had everything we needed. We plan to stay there again in one of the bigger pods. Hot tub was nice and hot and in the boat house 1 it is covered over too. Would highly recommend staying here.

One thing we would have found helpful was a little bit of information about what is near the lodge, walking routes etc but we managed to find things online.

Could do with a few more hooks to hang stuff on and some more outside lighting, we thought there'd be WiFi so a little disappointed when we took our fire stick and couldn't use it (we must have misread that somewhere) but overall a lovely place

We had such a lovely relaxing stay! The pod was lovely, surprisingly spacious and really clean, the site was so quiet even though there were 8 other pods/lodges we didn't hear a thing, would definitely recommend! The advert said wood burner however there was no wood fire in the pod just electric Was a bit pricy for 2 nights but I suppose it depends what your booking it for.

I recently stayed at the Luna lodge, pleasant views of the lake from the lodge however it's not what I expected for what I had paid (nearly £500 for 2 nights). Hot tub wasn't as expected and did not feel relaxing due to the bugs around in the water, cobwebs around the hot tub and the dirt around the drinks holder in the hot tub, the cob webs were also inside on the bed frame and on top of that there was no constant running hot water due to having a old water tank system at the lodge which only allows the water to be warm for a certain amount of time before it needs to be reheated which is not what I would expect for a lodge described as luxury and again for the price I paid. The hot water lasts around 10 minutes and I learnt the hard way when in the shower when the water turned cold mid way, I contacted the owner who only then mentioned that the water heat lasts so long and it needs to reheat and approx take 30+ mins to reheat which is not what you want to hear mid shower, I had no choice but to have the rest of my shower in the cold water and then went to bed feeling really cold and uncomfortable (so much for a relaxing break) not to mention half an hour later the water was still cold! Again this is something not mentioned in the description of the property in regards to it having an old water tank system and had I known that I would have not booked the lodge and saved some money and gone somewhere cheaper which would have constant hot running water and due to these reasons I will not be returning nor would I recommend it.

Absolutley loved this pod. Ideal for relaxing time away, its secluded and so peaceful and no kids allowed- PERFECT!. I stayed in pod 9 and it was perfect and I would love to come back for a longer stay. I did find it a little expensive.
The site Owners Nina and William are lovely and about the site should you need them.

Date of stay: 4th August 2020
We highly recommend these lovely pods. Very comfortable and with many great facilities. I might just question the use of soft furnishings (cushions/bed runner/rug etc.) at this moment in time. I'm not sure they are replaced or cleaned between visitors? We were sad not to see William and Nina while we were there as many people talked of how welcoming they are.
Lesley, Jarrow
Date of stay: 30th July 2020
I went with a friend for a few days. It was just what we needed. Peaceful, clean, big enough for two. Hot tub was amazing. Only thing that could be improved is the sign post. If you blink you will miss it.
