We stayed for over £500, covering four nights and three full days. Honestly, arriving at 12 on Monday and leaving at 12 on Friday would suit us better. The caravan was spotlessly clean and well equipped, so wed definitely come back!

We just got back from a week at Goddards Mead and honestly, it was lovely. The cottage had everything we could think of and more. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Despite being on a working farm, it felt really peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely go back!

We loved this cosy little cottage! Its perfectly tucked away but still near the local shops and places to eat. The hot tub was a real treat and the underfloor heating kept everything super comfy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel so welcome. Cant wait to return!

We spent a week here in July with our two little dachshunds and honestly, it was lovely. The cottage is charming and the hot tub was such a treat, especially during the scorching weather - the water was cooled, making it super refreshing. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming; it was nice to see them taking their dogs out to the fields every day. Being close to Stansted on the flight path was actually quite fun - we enjoyed watching the planes come in. All in all, wed definitely recommend for a relaxed getaway!

The main bedroom in our caravan was surprisingly quite dark during the day, which was a bit disappointing. Plus, the internet was awful and kept dropping out, frustrating really.

We stayed here for a week in mid-July with our two little dachshunds and they truly loved it! The village of Thaxted is charming and the cottage itself is really lovely. The hot tub was a real treat, especially with the hot weather - it was cooled just right, making it super refreshing after a day out. The hosts were so warm and welcoming; it was nice to see them taking their dogs to the fields each day. Watching the planes land near Stansted was quite entertaining too. Wed definitely recommend it for a relaxing getaway!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was super well equipped and really cosy, which was perfect given the dreary December weather. The bath was lovely and the shower was quite spacious. The location is great, especially if youve got dogs that hate fireworks - its in the middle of nowhere, so no bother at all. The property is beautifully converted too. Thanks a lot!

We really enjoy staying at the Monkton each year because its perfect for our family - spacious and super comfy. The hot tub is a lovely bonus. Just a heads-up, one ensuite needs new flooring and the dishwasher leaked last time.

Good overall stay, but blackout curtains in bedrooms would help.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage, tucked away on a working farm but still super private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely people. The place itself is really spacious and the kitchen and bathroom are well equipped, which made everything easy. The bed was so comfy, we slept like logs! The garden is perfect for dogs-completely dog-proof and beautifully furnished, with lots of walks nearby. Thaxteds restaurants, especially The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!
