Cheddar Woods Resort and Spa

Lodge with everything you need ours had washing machine and dishwasher. Good spa facilities and very nice bar with seating outside too. Great facilities if you have children bowling alley and ball pit next to bar.

Always stayed in this lodge, and cant fault it to be honest. Always clean on arrival, and well equipped with everything needed for a family holiday.

Monday to Friday stay in a 3-bed Axbridge Lodge Premier - we were really impressed by the whole place. The Lodge was spacious, fully equipped and perfectly situated. Add a hottub and it becomes the needed retreat. The reception staff were lovely, and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were added bonus, too.Our only negative was we wished we had booked for longer! Already trying to tie in dates for our next visit.

Lodge was fantastic, everything we needed was there... spotlessly clean..beds were comfy. Fabulous hot tub. Didn't won't to go home

The lodge was lovely, had everything we needed and plenty of space. Few cobwebs and dust here and there but no bother. Concerning when we first entered the twin room to find a bed slat on top of one of the beds, it had been broken off but didn't effect use on this occasion.

The unit that we rented was substandard and needed a full deep, clean and maintenance overhaul

Great lodge, was a little run down from general wear and tear but was clean and comfortable.

Great holiday- we had two lodges for three families.

Lovely to have hot tub with the Axbridge Lodge Premier (3 Bed). However first evening the hot tub was too hot so turned heat down. Second night temp was perfect. Third night a little cooler & fourth night was too cool. Cleaning of this lodge compared to our stay at Hawkchurch was sadly not as good. Dining table felt tacky to the touch & bathroom & en-suite floors (along edges & into corners) had not been thoroughly cleaned. Such as shame compared to the high standards of our previous stay at Hawkchurch. Pillows not comfortable either

Our Lodge had everything you need and more, spotless and cosy, beautifully presented, the price was excellent, totally satisfied

Sorry as the space was great and clean. Nice curtains, had everything you need. Was surprised by an extra toilet & washing machine. What let it down was In need of severe repair! Kitchen cupboards need fixing, some were missing. Kitchen floor poor repair job made it look cheap. You look around and see old marks on the inside of the building, bathroom mirror in poor state, shower doors in awful state. Decking had nice furniture spoilt by a whole in the table and the decking is in need of cleaning. I would never choose this accommodation again. Ever no matter how cheap.

The Mendip 2 is more like a caravan, narrow and compact. The sofa sinks towards the middle whichever side you sit, so is very uncomfortable. The bathroom and ensuite were tatty and in need of a refurb. No privacy having a bedroom facing onto the road with no blind or voile. The outside furniture was filthy so you certainly wouldn't eat on it.

The lodge was clean and the double beds very comfortable Kitchens well equippedWe enjoyed the hot tub very much !

Shower trays in showers need updating and there was a fair bit of dust in the corners of the room which could have been hoovered up.

Just done it - clean modern and practical. Not enough room for a cot in any bedrooms, our fault I guess, not ordering a bigger home. end

Clean and tidy.Homely feel too.Would have preferred a king size bed but that's just me being fussy.

Well equipped Lodge.

Was a fab location with cheddar reservoir and Cheddar village/ Gorge, minutes drive away. As well as many other places of interest not too far e.g., Blagdon Lake, Mendip Hills The lodge was adequate for our needs, lovely hot tub (wasnt turned on when we arrived but staff helpful in solving this) Only issue would be cleanliness of lodge we stayed in, seemed unkempt (piles of dust on floor, streaks and prints on windows and mirrors, utensils and oven not great) and also the oven took an age to cook anything. Swimming pool lovely, especially for a little one, not very big so imagine gets hectic in peak seasons. However says heated but was not warm at all. Other facilities fab, lots to do for little ones but bar quiet for drinks. Lovely staff, lady on reception gave my little one a free duckie which was much appreciated! We would stay again!

The lodge itself was great, with so much space. ( even with a washing machine and dishwasher) We were lucky and had a brilliant view from a terrace.

Outstanding location fantastic facilities. Just a beautiful little getaway.

Furniture fitting a little tired.Table very marked and sticky.Settee and chairs very, very soft. Need replacing.

one of the beds was very loose and squeeked alot very rocky apart from that excellent

Lovely, very welcoming to back to each day, loved the fans on the ceilings, we used the bedroom and living room ones as it was quite warm inside. The decking was great in the sunshine

Accommodation was spacious, clean and presented beautifully. A few little niggles such as TV in bathroom not working and very squeaky floorboards (a bit of a nightmare with our toddler being a light sleeper) but overall negligible.Only suggestion would be to have better blinds in the bedrooms as they do very little to keep the sun light out in the early morning (especially with a sky light in the master).Hot tub was great and checked regularly and the lodge had all equipment needed.
