Lilac Lodge at 22 Roadford Lake Lodges

Thank you for fitting us in. Beautiful Lodge overlooking duck pond. Very high spec inside and out. Would come here again.

We stayed 2 nights and the accommodation had to suit 7 people ranging from 17 to 95 in age! Having the accommodation all on one level was perfect for our 95 yo, although there were about 4 steps to access the lodge which were such a gentle incline that it all worked out perfectly. The hot tub was brilliant. We had a problem with the thermostat on the shower and the team sorted it out very quickly and efficiently. Kitchen well equipped but could have done with a frying pan (or 2) to make cooked breakfast for us all - we used a couple of woks which worked ok though. Extremely clean and well looked after, lovely deco, modern and airy. Plenty of space for all of us. All in all very happy with the accommodation and the service and would definitely stay again.

Lovely lodge by the lake, excellent location. Very comfortable and well equipped. Everyone loved the hot tub, dog friendly though outside not dog secure.

A lovely lodge, well positioned on the park next to the duck pond. Clean, spacious and well equipped. We didn't like the plastic glasses with no choice to use a glass for our wine. No tv in the bedrooms was a disappointment as we did have this luxury in another lodge at the same park. Also no welcome pack after a long journey was disappointing as this was something well received in the other lodge we have hired at the same park. Overall, a lively lodge and we would recommend.

This is an amazing trip, with an even better location, quality accommodation and great facilities. We had a fantastic stay and that was set by the standards presented at the lodge. It was beautiful. We're already planning our next trip!

Had an amazing time here at the lodge so peaceful and quiet, the hot tub was lovely. The lodge was very clean and comfortable.

The lodge overlooks the duck pond which was lovely, not very overlooked. Spotlessly clean. Unfortunately we couldn't use the hot tub as the support bracket for the top was broken and we couldn't lift the heavy top by itself. Not enough pots and pans etc in the kitchen to cook the Christmas dinner for a large family. Had to go out and purchase a streamer to cook veg as only three small saucepans. No trays for pizza etc, no colander or sieve spoon. Not enough cooking utensils. Make sure to take everything you need to use in the kitchen as no condiments at all. No welcome pack at all. It was only the housekeeping staff on site that managed to decorate for Christmas as no decorations from the owner. Big thanks to the housekeeping staff there really are amazing.

Beautiful lodge, nice location next to the duck pond. Clean, comfortable, very modern. Very enjoyable stay. One complaint I rang luxury coastal a few days before to ask if there was a welcome pack at the lodge of a few basics, told there was, on arrival there was nothing so we had to drive 9 miles for milk etc as our online shop was not arriving till much later and there is nowhere to buy a few basics nearby and no one in reception. Overall a very much enjoyed family holiday and would return if coming to that area in the future.

Lilac Lodge is a stunning lodge which has everything a family needs on a break. It is tastefully decorated and very comfortable.

The booking process was very straightforward with Lilac lodge, we were torn between two of the lodges on site but glad we opted for Lilac. When we arrived we entered the main gate which is only accessible to guests, this added an exclusive and luxury feel to the site, we noticed how quiet and respectful all of our neighbors were and this was exactly what we were looking for! Our lodge was beautifully clean and tidy throughout and had a real homely feel, lilac lodge overlooks a small duck pond where our children watched the ducks and rabbits every morning, this was a lovely little surprise for our youngest son who loves animals. The hot tub was a great addition and very simple to use, it was kept clean with daily checks by one of the onsite team. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you'd need for a holiday stay....the only thing I'd say is that there is no colander, we painstakingly drained spoon by spoon of rice which was a bit annoying but other than that we had everything we needed. The two shower rooms meant we had no squabbling over who was having a shower first, the overhead rainfall shower was a lovely little addition to the ensuite. Roadford lakes location was beautiful and quiet, the lake is just stunning at sunset and the various walks are perfect for any age, we did try the onsite cafe for a hot drink but we unfortunately didn't stop for food, the cafe was nice and clean, the staff were friendly and the coffee was ok, the cafe also has a little gift shop and ice creams as well as lovely views. Overall the grounds/location was beautiful and relaxing, the lodge was clean, well equipped and a good size but I only wish there was an essentials shop nearby, we spent a lot of money on fuel because there was absolutely nothing nearby which was the only thing we would say needs a rethink. We loved our family holiday at Roadford Lakes and we will be back next summer.

We had the most stunning break, the lodge was exactly what it said it was and more. Beautiful setting and gave us the opportunity to relax and reset. Will definitely be using Luxury Coastal again for long and short breaks.

Excellent clean lodge in great location. My only frustration was that the dishwasher was broken. I contacted support via email who sent someone out who threw some salt in it but it still didn't work. I then sent a following two emails but nothing was done. It was a shame that this disrupted our stay and frustrating that it wasn't dealt with as we then had to wash up by hand. I did also go to reception but there was never anyone there.

Can't say enough good things about this lodge which is very new, spacious, comfortable and has a well equipped kitchen with a good sized fridge/freezer. It is well positioned giving an excellent view of the duck pond with easy parking to the one side and the low level hot-tub is perfect for older people. There are some good walks around the nearby lake with easy access from the site to the cafe/conference centre. Good food to be had at the cafe including a breakfast menu. The only downside is that a supermarket is 15 to 20 minutes, but did not spoil our holiday. Had a great time.

This lodge is absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean throughout. There were 8 of us in total (4 adults and 4 children) and we had plenty of space. The hot tub was lovely - it was all set so all we had to do was get in! The area is very quiet with nothing around - which is what we wanted! - but it's quite a way to the nearest shop/take away, if you have this in mind. The lodge looks out onto a beautiful lake with ducks which was wonderful. The only thing I can think of which could have been improved was - we had no sorts of dishes/cookware that would allow us to cook for a big group, and there was no colander - so if you are planning to cook, bring your own. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic!

Took family away was very nice lodge, not much around but was November so could be time of year, all enjoyed.

Could not fault our stay from start to finish! Will definitely be returning in the future we loved it!
