Date of stay: 28th September 2018
Had an absolutely fantastic time, manly doing nothing, but walking the dog on the Surrey Hills and relaxing on the veranda and in the hot tub. For the last week of September the weather was glorious which added to our experience. The accommodation was everything that we needed, we'd taken a couple of essentials like bottle opener to find it all there! We didn't want to leave and will be back.

There was only one thing we felt with the accommodation, hence the score of 9, and that was the bathroom door latch, noisy to use in the middle of the night when the need arose by us both, manged to get out of bed without waking the other up but as soon as you had to use the door!!
Terry & Sue, Camberley
Date of stay: 21st September 2018

Date of stay: 30th December 2017
The lodge was spotless and clean - lamps were left on throughout the lodge on arrival which gave a cosy glow to the place. Slept really well too in comfy beds and crisp white linen.
Sarah
Date of stay: 30th December 2017
Lovely lodge, but it would have been better had it been more private. There is an outside seating area to enjoy dinner outside, however we didn't ever use it, as we would have been looked over by the other lodges, and the car park was directly facing our lodge, and seating area.
We have stayed in similar places where privacy has been much better.
Carla, Bedfordshire
Date of stay: 30th December 2017
Wonderful lodge!

Date of stay: 8th December 2017
The Sturt lodge on the position by the pond is lovely. The ceilings are very high, and this gives a real feeling of space. The outside space was private enough. The patio doors open on to the verandah which was lovely for drinking coffee and watching the ducks and moorhens.
Roy, Dorking
Date of stay: 4th December 2017
Very relaxing, helpful staff & great location for outdoor fun.
Iona
Date of stay: 4th December 2017
It was really great. The only thing that would have made it even better was if our lodge that we stayed in (we were in the larger lodge) had sauna/hot tub facilities like a lot of the others.

More then enough kitchen utensils, coffee and teas were greatly appreciated. Might be nice to have butter potions? And oil to cook with? Otherwise, was perfect!
Glyn
Date of stay: 30th October 2017
We booked the Sturt Lodge for a 3 night break to enable my family to visit neighboring Legoland. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent standard of accommodation on offer. The kitchen was new and well stocked with utensils. The lounge was comfortable and the bedrooms and beds were comfortable and clean. They really went the extra mile to give some really nice welcoming touches, like complimentary tea and coffee. Nearby, there are some great woodland walks and excellent bar restaurants. Shopping is not far away in Farnham.
We were extremely impressed and have recommended the accommodation to our friends. We hope to visit again in the future.
Graham, Wolverhampton.
Date of stay: 30th October 2017

Amazing holiday! Very relaxing and such a treat to get away for a few days in such an idyllic and serene location. Our hot tub was lovely and I would recommend getting a lodge with one to anyone. The towels and bath robes laid out in a pretty design on arrival made us feel very spoilt and luxurious.

This is high end self catering at its best.

Date of stay: 24th July 2017
Great place for a very quiet getaway. Nothing apart from great walks or if you play golf there is a golf course next door. The Duke of Cambridge pub linked to the site is excellent for meals. There is a beautiful lake at Stockbridge Pond nearby.
Rosalena, Worthing
Date of stay: 24th July 2017
Great stay at Tilford woods, if you are looking for peace and quiet and total relaxation, then Tilford Woods is the place to be. The lodges are equiped with everything you need. Home from Home. We love it there, this is our second stay and will definitely be booking again.
The hot tub is an added bonus, it's well worth paying the extra. We love the fact that all the lodges have privacy. Nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit.
Edward, Exeter
Date of stay: 3rd July 2017
Lodge had all useful amenities. Oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher. Washing machine/Tumble dryer available on site, but lightly used.

Comfortable lounge, small balcony (used by us a lot).

Parking for one car - we left another about 50 metres away.
Roger, Klamunda In Perth
Date of stay: 3rd July 2017
Meets all our needs.
David, Essex
Date of stay: 30th June 2017
The accommodation was very well equipped but we did find it to be a bit gloomy. Not sure if the intention was to go for a snug feel but we found it a little too dark. Better lighting or an additional sky light would be good to make the rooms a bit more airy. Otherwise all very nice indeed. The place was very clean and very well equipped.
Emma, Lancing
Date of stay: 26th June 2017
Clean, comfortable with plenty of facilities. Home from home! Couldn't ask for more!
Helen, Littlehampton
Date of stay: 26th June 2017
Cobbett was a lovely lodge to stay in. Tea, milk and water were lovely touches to arrive to. My only suggestion would be a tv in the bedroom, which would be nice when relaxing.
Gary, Chester
Date of stay: 23rd June 2017
The accommodation was clean, spacious and comfortable with a compliment tray of tea and coffee. The hot tub was fab and very private and relaxing.

Date of stay: 27th May 2017
Disappointed to see style of sofas had changed. New sofas too modern a style for rest of surroundings and not as comfortable. Everything else is excellent as always.
Nigel, Rayleigh
Date of stay: 26th May 2017
The lodge was perfect, apart from the fact that the interior was looking a little bit dated. This is only a small moan, it did not spoil our holiday.
Gina, Gravesend

Date of stay: 8th May 2017
We had another enjoyable break at Tilford. Lovely setting and the staff are excellent. The lodge we stayed in was very comfortable but the fridge and cooker need updating. Fridge door shelves were missing and the numbers on the hob dials were indistinct.
Keith, Pinner
Date of stay: 8th May 2017

Date of stay: 28th April 2017
A really nice lodge, almost perfect. We docked a point because there was a dripping tap in the shower and the front door was a challenge to open. We reported both problems but neither was completely resolved (the tap still dripped!). This is a minor quibble because we loved our stay, it was excellent accommodation.
Shelley, Worthing
Date of stay: 24th April 2017

Our cabin had everything we needed and more! It was clean and tidy on arrival with a fully functioning kitchen, sauna in the bathroom (that we didn't know about) and the hot tub outside which was already on and warm. Little extra items like milk and butter in the fridge and a box of tea, coffee and hot chocolate was a lovely touch! The front of ours was gated so we could leave the door open and let our dog come and go. We cant wait to go back and recommended to a number of friends and family.

Fantastic lodge to stay in for the weekend! Hot tub and sauna along with jacuzzi bath were the best bits! Everything we needed was in there. I would just say that the main seating area could do with a bit more lighting, there were only lamps round the room and there were just the odd times when I really wanted to put a light on!

Beautiful Lodge with four poster bed, sauna and private outdoor hot tub. All towels and robes were provided, as well as a bottle of milk, bottled water and some snacks on our arrival, which was a nice touch. I have never stayed in a self catering accommodation before where the dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, scourer and dishcloths were also provided, very impressive. Overall the lodge was pretty close to perfect and situated in a great location for local walks and exploring. Will we be back? Absolutely!!

Date of stay: 23rd January 2017
We arrived after dark, on a very cold evening to find the lodge wonderfully warm despite the outside temperature. A lamp had been left on and there was a welcoming feel to the place. There was everything we needed for a very comfortable and relaxing weekend. The veranda directly overlooks the lake, frozen over when we were there, and would be lovely to sit out on in better weather. There is a gate leading directly from the lodge park into the pub grounds where we had some very good meals. The downside to this is that I imagine in the summertime there would be noise from the pub's adjacent children's play area as the Falkner lodges are nearest.
I'm certain we will go back.
C, Worthing
Date of stay: 13th January 2017
We would have rated this log cabin 10 out 10 but room for improvement on the shower and screen, there were no coat hooks to hang your wet coats up. The hoover we felt needs to find another home and not kept in the walldrobe. The kitchen was very well fitted out and lounge very comfortable.

We stayed in a Sturt lodge, yes they are starting to show signs of wear and tear but they are a good size and have excellent facilities, a special mention to the housekeeping team, the lodge and contents were simply spotless, this was the first time EVER my companion did not take everything out of the kitchen drawers and wash it all again, or deep clean the bathroom!

Date of stay: 20th May 2016
As previously mentioned, the lodge was very well equipped however we would have benefited with some instruction on the use of the microwave and the cooker. The sofa and chairs are starting to show their age as is the exterior of the lodge the wood needs treating and both the locks on the sliding doors need serving. It was a very nice touch to have a few basic essentials on the lodge for our arrival.

We loved the cobbett lodge .. felt like a real home from home .. it contained everything you could wish for as well as the added bonus of having a hot tub , and a sauna which was lovely to come home to after a days walking. . Our only fault was although clean we did find a few cobwebs in the bathroom and sauna that had obviously been there a long time. ..

Wow - warm, clean, cosy and nicely furnished, with every mode of entertainment.

The bedroom is gorgeous, the bed is so comfortable with lovely bedding and a very nice en suite bathroom and sauna.

The kitchen is fantastic, with every appliance you will need.

The really treat comes in the form of the privately screened hot tub, which is sheer bliss at any time of the day. The thick sumptuous bathrobes come in very handy for this.

Date of stay: 15th January 2016
Nice lodge in a nice park in nice surroundings. However, lacks some facilities, like a playground. Frustrating that it's got such terrible mobile phone reception there too, but on a whole the park is nice, the staff are great and very friendly. We would definitely recommend it to other people and have enjoyed our stay, the lodges are spacious and generally well looked after.
Casey, Dartford
Date of stay: 15th January 2016
Perfect lodge. Had everything we needed and more. Comfy bed and sofa. Hot tub was lovely. There were a few gaps in the fencing around the hot tub that didn't make it feel as private as hoped but it didn't spoil our stay.
Laura
Date of stay: 15th January 2016
Stayed here for a heavenly week in January with my husband. The site was calm and peaceful and the accommodation was perfect; absolutely spotless with everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was wonderful and it is a nice touch to have fencing all the way around for complete privacy. We also forgot that the accommodation had a sauna inside which was a very pleasant surprise when we looked around! Six months later and we still talk about what a wonderful time we had - I would go again in a heartbeat!!

Date of stay: 30th December 2015
We had a amazing time the week we were there. I wish staff in other places were as lovely and helpful as those at Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat. The only reason that I have not given a full mark for the facilities is because the dishwasher did not do a proper job. It probably just needs cleaning out. Other than that there are lovely walks that lead to nice pubs. When you want to go some where in the car it is not that far to get there. You are close to Farnham, Godalming and Guildford but at the retreat you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Even the many ducks were friendly.

Date of stay: 31st October 2015
Better bedside lighting required in master bedroom - the single lamp on one side for the bed had a heat-scorched shade, and the lighting overall was insufficient. It required a second lamp with better lighting for the other side of the bed, and a third lamp on the dressing table. One of the wall lamps in the dining area had a non-working bulb on arrival, but was quickly rectified upon request. None of the under-cupboard lighting in the kitchen was working. The electric fire in the lounge had been disconnected for the summer season, however this was October half term, and it's not the heat we were after, but a cosy glow from the red bulbs.

Bathroom area was a bit tired floor needed to be renewed love the idea of a sauna but it would have been better to have a wet room instead of a bath not easy to cool off after. I would avoid number 5 next time as we were woken each morning at 6.30 but mowers on the golf course and lorries and van deliveries leaving engines running by our bedroom wall

Quality furniture. Exceptionally clean and very well presented. Only scored a 9 for comfort for the sofa - somewhat firm and upright but aside from that it was perfect!

Date of stay: 10th April 2015
Fabulous quiet little retreat. The staff were amazingly helpful and when we decided to have a BBQ they hired one to us and we're even so kind to order food from the local butchers and collect it for us. They then put the food in our fridge whilst we were out for the day. This service was the best we have ever received and was much appreciated. We have travelled worldwide and this service was amazing.

The lodge itself was beautiful in a quaint location. We had requested not to be near the pond as we had young children with us and this request was upheld which meant we could fully relax. Amazing little place in the perfect location, easily accessible via train to London which we took advantage of and found it was lovely to come back to our quiet lodge after the hustle and bustle of London. We could also access lots of other lovely places such as Portsmouth.

We will not hesitate to return and are already looking for the summer holidays.

Very safe place for our children to play. The lodges were well equipped and even had a Nintendo wii.

The Sturt Lodge was gorgeous and beautifully clean.

Date of stay: 6th April 2015
A lovely little place to relax. Took a little time to get to grips with all the electrical equipment and TV channels were a waste of time but that was not the fault of the accommodation. Very cosy and the facilities were good although a little tight. I was not happy with the basic brush over as there was a good deal of dust and dirt on the floor. Other than that the lodge was very clean and we enjoyed our stay.
Nima, West London
Date of stay: 6th April 2015
My husband and I went for the long Easter Bank holiday. First time at Tilford Woods and we loved it. The ladies who greeted us at reception were lovely and the place was easy to get to. We were both blown away by how clean, convenient
and comfortable everything was. Best part was the bath/shower and the sauna room. Will be booking soon again.

The reception staff were so lovely and helpful, very warm, and friendly. Whenever we went to reception, the ladies were always smiling and seemed genuinely interested if we were ok and enjoying ourselves. If only all people working with the public were like that.

My only one very minor criticism is that our lodge didn't have much sugar supplied for a weekend stay.

A very good experience and we'd come again. Great for families with dogs and good dog friendly pub on site.
Dean, Leighton Buzzard
Date of stay: 20th March 2015
Three hot tub checks seems excessive, one a day should do. This did ruin our stay a little as staff came to check every few hours. Privacy screens in hot tub area are see through and need looking at with either vines or some form of shrub to assist in privacy. Sauna didn't seem to get very hot dial numbers were all worn away and couldn't read them. Everything else brilliant
Stephen, Milton Keynes
Date of stay: 20th March 2015
the cobbett contemporary log is lovely and clean and got everything u need for a romantic stay so peacefull the kitchen has everything u need and very clean its got lovely decor and very comfortable we loved the hottub which is very hidden so u have your own privacy and the sauna that leads off the big bathroom is brill too all i can say is that its so worth the money and we will be going back for the 3rd time next year

great location peaceful and beautifully maintained. The lodge itself was very comfortable and well equipped. The heating system was excellent important for a winter break. Wonderful walks on the doorstep meant we barely used the car during our stay. Dog also settled quickly. Thank you have recommended it to our friends and we will be back later in the year.

Excellent holiday. We were blown away when we saw the cabin. The only thing I would say, and this is expected, is take some body moisturiser with you for when you get out of the hot tub. The chemicals used to keep the water clean dry your skin out. I would definitely go back!

Everything about our lodge Cobett Traditional was perfect. If I'm being picky then I would say the appearance of the furniture in the living room is outdated but still all in great quality and amazingly comfortable. Our lodge was better than we expected, having our own private hot tub and sauna we're amazing and made the whole experience that little but more special. We couldn't fault anything on our lodge, apart from we wish we could have stayed longer!
David, Horsham

Only thing that would have been nice was some milk to go with the lovely welcome pack. Which had everything you needed for tea, except milk.

The spa bath only worked for about 5 minutes on the Friday evening. The onsite maintenance man did look at it but was unable to fix it properly, we tried to use it again on Saturday but it was extremely noisy and smelled of burning so we did not use it again which was very disappointing. I did inform reception staff that we were unhappy about the spa bath and they said that 'the manager' would contact me but I have not received any phone calls to discuss this issue. I have made another booking but would have appreciated better customer service regarding the lack of working facilities.

We usually stay in static caravans so it was lovely to stay in the lodge - really warm and cosy - bed was fantastic as it was king size and really comfy! The kids loved it - especially feeding the ducks. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Geoffrey
Date of stay: 11th October 2014
The hot tup was outside in an open but covered veranda. There was a fence which provide total privacy - very romantic! The temperature was warm yo hot and the safety was checked three times a day. The sauna was cooler than expected, but the jacuzzi was really hot but totally controllable. Excellent all round.
Katrina, Essex
Date of stay: 6th October 2014
Amazing accommodation, couldn't have been more impressed. The lodge had everything you could need and some nice added extras like tea, coffee and hot chocolate, a wii, board games and an ipod/phone dock. The sauna and hot tub made the holiday even more special and towels and robes were provided. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub even though it was raining it is undercover so you can still sit out there. We will definitely be returning at some point.
Colette, Wirral
Date of stay: 26th September 2014
No 33. Bed was so comfy and the lodge was extremely clean, another worry I had that was soon put to rest. Plenty of towels provided and basic cleaning cloths. Didn't expect a full size fridge freezer either and enough equipment to cook Xmas dinner for your entire family. Only very slight negative the kitchen looked a little tired but only really around the dishwasher area and that is being super picky.
Fiona, Camberley
Date of stay: 26th September 2014
The setting and lodges were fantastic. Unfortunately the internet was down for 4 of the 5 nights and with two teenagers for the weekend it meant we had to spend a lot of time out of the site in places with internet.

Date of stay: 16th August 2014
Lovely lodge, very comfortable, luxurious facilities. If I was being really picky I'd say some parts were due a spring clean (corners of bathroom and outside areas) but main bits were clean. Furniture a little worn, but it looked like some furniture in other lodges were being replaced so may be on the agenda. It was a little pricey, but on the other hand it was peak season and quite a luxurious lodge.

Accommodation was dirty - dust, cobwebs, dog hairs - it had been superficially cleaned. There was also a broken glass with sharp jagged edges left on the floor next to the sofa which my 16 month old was crawling towards when I luckily spotted it before she got to it. Dirtiest accommodation I've ever stayed in.
