Visitor Reviews of Golden Sands Holiday Park

Harriet & Jamie
Date of stay: 26th November 2024
We visited during off-season, so its hard to judge everything, but the park looked spotless with plenty of green space and well-kept gardens. Not sure if there are any shop facilities nearby. Our caravan was a bit lacking-no bedside light in the main bedroom or a switch at the side, which was a bit annoying when trying to get comfy. Also, no egg flipper in the kitchen drawer! Signage for dog waste bins wasnt very clear either. Despite that, were already planning to come back next year. We really enjoyed it and wish wed booked longer. Cheers, Harriet, Jamie & Marley the dog.

We had a lovely stay. The caravan was spotless and well kitted out. WiFi worked perfectly and there was plenty of space around us, making it feel really peaceful and private. Just what we needed!

We stayed in a three-bedroom lodge recently and honestly, it was a lovely experience. The place was super cosy and had pretty much everything we needed, even a washing machine which was a real help. The beds were so comfy and the place was spotless. We appreciated the little welcome box with essentials like tea, coffee, milk and some cleaning stuff - such a thoughtful touch! The staff team really do seem to go above and beyond, from cleaners and office staff to maintenance, gardeners, bar staff and the entertainment crew for the kids. Cal also organised outdoor sports during the day which the kids loved. Big thanks to everyone - you all made our holiday really special. Definitely five stars from us!

We stayed in this lovely lodge recently and really enjoyed our time. The place was spotless, spacious and had all the amenities we needed. Beds were comfy and having both a bath and shower was great. Only the couches could be a tad more comfy!

We stayed in a spotless caravan on a fantastic pitch. Everything we needed was provided and it was great value for money. The only thing I'd suggest is a larger TV since the caravan is quite spacious but the TV is small!

We had such a lovely time! The site is really nicely landscaped, with these pretty water features and ponds scattered around. Our three kids absolutely loved the away and the park and theres always something going on downstairs in the club every evening, which keeps the little ones entertained. The upstairs bar is adults-only, which we think is a smart move. Plus, there are loads of free activities each day if the kids want to join in. Everyone on the staff was super friendly and helpful. The beach is just a quick walk across the road, or you can drive to the dunes in a couple of minutes. Ashington is only 15 mins away with a great leisure centre - we enjoyed the swimming pool. Booking online was definitely the easiest way to go!

We had a lovely stay here. The lodge was really comfy and well-equipped, perfect for relaxing. Its a bit of a walk to the beach, but that kept it peaceful. Only downside was the weather, which was a bit disappointing! Would definitely come back.

We loved Biarritz! Its such a lovely, airy place, really well kitted out and in top condition. Everything you need, including WiFi. Only tiny thing-the en-suite doesnt have a shower, which is a bit of a shame.

We had a lovely time staying here! The caravan was spotless and super comfy, especially the shower - really enjoyed that. The site was kept in top shape and the kids loved the play park. The beach is just across the road and Cresswell is an easy walk for ice cream. Would be great if there were footpaths, though.

Date of stay: 31st October 2023
We stayed at this caravan site and found it really clean and well maintained. The staff at reception were super friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome. Its only a short 7-minute walk to the beach, which was perfect. The only thing that was a bit of a hassle was having to make our own beds - never had to do that before! Also, theres no on-site cafe or restaurant, so you need to plan meals in advance. Still, we enjoyed our stay overall!

Date of stay: 15th July 2023
We really enjoyed our stay here. The check-in was hassle-free thanks to a lovely lady and the location was perfect - peaceful and scenic, great for exploring. That said, we were a bit surprised to find no shop or facilities on site. Also, it wouldve been nice if beds were already made, especially given the price. Still, a nice spot overall!

Date of stay: 13th July 2020
We really enjoyed our stay at the holiday park. The place was spotless and well looked after and the accommodation in the Sierra was superb. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, which made everything easier. The location is perfect, just a quick walk to the beach. The only downside was the WiFi - it was painfully slow and kept disconnecting, which was frustrating. They should definitely work on improving it, as its a bit misleading to advertise it otherwise.
George, Edinburgh
Date of stay: 10th July 2020
We had our adult daughter drive us to the caravan site, so we needed a place with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The lodge we stayed in really exceeded our expectations - it even had a washing machine and dishwasher, which was a nice bonus! The bedrooms featured spacious walk-in wardrobes that felt more like dressing rooms and the whole caravan felt surprisingly roomy at 14 feet wide. It would have been perfect with a TV in the master bedroom, but thats a minor thing. The grounds were beautifully maintained, with tidy, well-mown grass and friendly staff keeping everything looking neat. The only slight downside was the WiFi, which kept dropping out on our part of the site. Still, we all had a lovely 4-night stay!
