The caravan had plenty of space and was spotlessly clean, which we really appreciated. The TV wasnt the best, but the wind might have affected it. Overall, quite a nice stay!

We found the beds really comfy and it was great that the kids slept well too. The TV kept losing signal once, but the staff came straight away and sorted it out. Overall, we felt pretty relaxed and happy just chilling in the caravan all day.

Overall, the cleaning was decent, but there was some mould around the window that was missed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Castaways! The location is fantastic - right on the beach and perfect for exploring the area. Our lodge was modern and airy, just what we expected. Its worth noting that its quite basic, but thats fine for us. A couple of little things could be improved, like adding a bin in the bathroom and providing an oven tray since there was only a grill pan, plus a chopping board to protect the worktops. The windows couldve been cleaner too - there were quite a few cobwebs. Also, we booked a three-bedroom lodge but only two bedrooms were made up when we arrived, which was a bit of a faff to sort out at reception. Still, considering the price, it was great value and wed definitely return!

Rooms needed a deep clean, quite dusty and stained furniture.

The beds were a bit hard, but everything else felt really cosy.

Honestly, this was one of the worst caravan parks we've stayed at. The internet was useless, even with extra charges and didnt work properly. There were no activities for kids, which was disappointing. The bar area smelt terrible, so we couldnt even enjoy a drink. Staff werent friendly at all, only the lady on check-in was nice. The caravan was pretty old and poorly maintained-net curtains were torn and the shower was dirty. Not a place wed come back to!

Could definitely be better, sadly.

We had a lovely Christmas here! The beachs just a short stroll away and the bar and food were spot on. Definitely coming back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The shower was great and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. The location is perfect-lovely views and super easy access to the beach. Heating warmed up quickly which was a bonus. Only slight downsides: the shower and sink areas could've been cleaner when we arrived and the caravans are quite close together, but the photos can be a bit misleading. The receptions a bit dated, but overall, wed come back!

We had a great stay at the lodge! It was spotless and had everything we needed, though a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries wouldve been handy. The bedrooms were super comfy and we all slept really well. The on-site beach was lovely and very clean, which the kids absolutely loved. Big thanks to Anna for being such a great host!

We had a lovely week here. The place was spotless and well-maintained. The caravans beds were a bit basic, but it didnt ruin our holiday. Perfect spot for the beach and the bar/restaurant was really good. Staff went above and beyond for our granddaughters food allergy. Top marks!

Honestly, we were really disappointed after our trip. The caravan had quite a few issues that made our stay uncomfortable. The curtains were broken, which was a bit annoying and there was a constant smell of smoke inside, which upset my autistic daughter a lot. Outside, there was dog poo that wasnt ours and right next to us, there was building work going on with men drinking and smoking outside all the time. The staff werent very helpful when we raised these concerns-they basically told us we could leave if we werent happy. The shower was leaking and the door didnt shut properly, plus the inside wasnt very clean-the hoover was full of dirt and dust left in the kitchen. My daughter also hurt herself on the step steps into the caravan. We didnt enjoy our holiday at all; it felt like we were an inconvenience. Staff seemed more interested in drinking in the evenings. All in all, it was a stressful experience and we had to book a hotel at £136 a night because of it. Not a holiday Id recommend.

Date of stay: 31st May 2023
The place served as a nice base for us and we genuinely enjoyed our stay. The beach is lovely and the entertainment in the evenings was a nice touch. However, the facilities for kids are a bit sparse-small arcade and no crazy golf or pedal bikes. Still, the staff are super friendly and helpful!

The caravan was pretty roomy, but the beds could definitely do with some fixing up.

Date of stay: 28th April 2023
Honestly, if you're after family fun or a pool, this place might not be your thing. The food was pretty overpriced for frozen fish and didnt taste great. We ended up at Poachers Pocket - much better, fresh food and lovely staff. Definitely worth a visit!

We had a lovely stay here. The place was super peaceful and the quiet beach with seals was a real highlight. The caravan was roomy and pretty clean, though the windows couldve done with a wipe. Staff werent very visible, but wed definitely come back!
