Date of stay: 16th July 2018
Very impressed with the premier park chalet. A definite upgrade from the park chalets along the same row. Could definitely do with a few more simple additions such as bathmats and tea towels. Lovely space to eat outside and the washing machine and dishwasher really was an added bonus. We stayed for 3 nights with a very reasonable weekend deal with our 4 children.

Date of stay: 2nd September 2017
I really liked the bungalow. It was clean and plenty big enough and I liked the little patio area out of the back. It was well equipped in terms of dishwasher, washing machine, microwave. I can niggle a little bit about the lack of measuring jug or garlic press but, I was on holiday so was never going to do an awful lot of cooking - not with a great chip shop in the town and plenty of pizza opportunities on-site - not to mention lovely pubs nearby. For the accommodation itself, I think I would be disappointed if I'd spent that on just a holiday cottage but actually, it was the park itself and the use of the swimming pool and entertainment for the kids that made it value for money. It's a bit soul-less and bland.. but we're only sleeping there and it was nice enough so perfectly chuffed.

Just returned from another visit to Penstowe Park and again stayed in the Manor Apartments. As usual the rooms spotless and demonstrated excellent cleaning by the team. Nice and warm in the evening with the central heating coming on to supplement the range of heaters in the apartment. The staff very helpful and enjoyed our stay especially the WiFi in the Manor House. Pool clean and well used and the grounds well maintained. Plenty of places to visit and lovely Pubs in the village.

Accommodation was wonderful, brand new, very clean and tidy. Shower pressure was great, very powerful. Beds were comfortable. We used the washing machine, dishwasher and oven. All were brand new and easy to use. We loved the hot tub, this too seemed brand new! Only improvement would have been wifi in the bungalow.

Date of stay: 13th May 2016
Manor Lodge is fairly new in comparison to the other properties, the chalet is fitted with mod cons and was perfect for our needs.

We did feel that some TLC was needed just where there was some wear and tear e.g. fencing not quite finished, cracked and uneven patio slaps and construction materials left at the side of the property. We reported a broken door handle on the first day that we stayed, chased it up mid-week and it was still not repaired at the end of the week when we left.

Again, though, we had a lovely week and really liked the lodge, especially the hot tub! We would stay in the Lodge again.

If being picky only thing would say is that there was no cleaning stuff such as cloths, washing up liquid or dish washer tabs etc which have always been provided in other lodges we have stayed in but certainly wouldn't mark down this beautiful lodge for that. Wonderful break and highly recommended.

We stayed in the same type of bungalow last year, but this one was so much better due to the personal touch of the owners. They even had games and books for the kids.
If it wasn't for the state of the swimming pool we would have immediately booked for next year.

The bungalow was light and spacey and catered for all our needs. Beds were comfortable and very crisply clean. It was nice to have a full size fridge freezer allowing us to shop at the supermarket and stock up for the week. Only thing we could have done with was a rotary line out the back to enable us to dry our bathers and towels.

When we arrived we were given further up a slope upon entering it smelt and did not look val ue for money (not as comfortable as last year) I then went to ask if we could be in the same chalet we were in last year M23 - this chalet is excellent - comfortable, home from home - we hope to have this one again next year.

Date of stay: 13th October 2014
The only problem we had was initially finding the accommodation. Although reception provided a map, it took us nearly 20 minutes to locate the chalet as the numbering of accommodation in the park was very similar in the different areas. Otherwise excellent
Meiah, Basingstoke
Date of stay: 4th October 2014
Only downside is that the hotwater is on an immersion heater, just enough for one bath per hour, but as only two of us, it was not too much of an issue.

The apartment is lovely. Worth noting is is above the bar so csn br noisy st night.

The Manor Lodge Premier is an excellent accommodation. Very relaxing and plenty of space for all 5 of us. A great layout very clean with top of the range fixtures and fittings. If you could move it 20 yards forward over the road for the view it would be exceptional.
Sherrilyn, Aylesbury
Date of stay: 23rd August 2014
House 13. We needed an arier or washing line to dry wet suits on. If not provided people will hang their clothes over furniture and the house soon be ruined. It was freshly decorated and carpeted and lovely. But others may not treat it with the respect we did. We dried our wet suits over the bench out side. but an arier outside would have been best.............

Great Easter break with the family and dog. We had some lovely walks, enjoyed the pool and the family entertainment in the evenings. The accommodation was well equipped and clean. We had a great stay.
Jane
What a lovely place to stay. We stayed in a Penstowe 4 cabin which was small but perfectly formed. I think it must have been privately owned as it had lots of little personal touches. The only negatives were the half an hour wait at reception to pick up the key when arriving, despite arriving at the 4pm time stated, and the cost of the electricity. I think we may have been the first people to stay that season, so the first night the cabin was freezing despite the heating being on. I think it needed to warm up, but after the first night we kept one heater on all the time so the cabin never got to cold again. The electricity cost £5 a day, but it was April, so later in the year it may not cost as much. As the holidays were on offer at a knock down price, the additional cost of the electricity didn't worry us too much. The indoor pool was great, the entertainment varied in quality but the magician was very good and well worth seeing. A very relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout the place, it did lack a park for the children. We ate once in the bar and the food was tasty and a good size portion. Sandymouth Bay is the nearest beach, it is National trust, and has a good café and Bude has Morrisons and Sainsburys as well as lots of places to eat and drink, and a lovely sandy beach with lifeguards.
Elisha
We absolutely loved it and will be back again!
Trevor
Friendly staff, good accommodation, nice location and sunny and warm in February... Would definitely recommend. Trevor and family of Birmingham
