We needed a break for walking the dog and this place was just right. Lovely comfy accommodation, plenty of nearby pubs and eateries and endless fields for off-road adventures-our pup didnt want to leave either!

We stayed in apartment 8 and honestly, it was a lovely place. Everything looked freshly decorated and spotless. The twin beds were super comfy and the sofa bed was just as good - perfect for a relaxing stay. The apartment was quite spacious, which we appreciated. Not fussed about the balcony view since the hills near the car park were quite pretty too!

The accommodation was great for our needs, it had everything we needed for a five night break. Being 200yards from the beach was a perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed walking along the clifts to see both sun rise and sunset. We were very close to Newquay which was like a five minute drive.

We stayed at this charming cottage on a working farm and honestly, it was perfect for a peaceful getaway. The privacy was great, even though the farm was active around us. The owners, Robert and Sharon, couldnt have been nicer. The place itself was really spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfy bed. The garden was lovely, dog-proof and had nice furniture for relaxing outside. Plenty of walks nearby and we enjoyed a few good meals in Thaxted-The Star and The Maypole being our favourites. Overall, wed definitely recommend it!

We had a lovely stay at this cosy spot nestled in a quiet, private area. The hosts were genuinely friendly and always ready to help if needed, yet they respected our privacy completely. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day cycling - so relaxing! The only thing to keep in mind is that the cottage is close to Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us too much after a while, but if youre sensitive to noise, its worth noting. Overall, a great little escape!

We stayed at this place recently and honestly, its a gem. The house is super well equipped and kept us really warm, which was perfect given the rainy December weather. The bath was a lovely touch and the shower was big enough for two! The location is peaceful - no worries about the flight path, it didnt bother us at all. Perfect spot if your dog hates fireworks too, so quiet and beautiful. Thanks again!

We had a really lovely stay overall, though we couldnt believe how the weather only cleared up right after we left! A couple of things could make it even better - like having a tap outside to rinse off the sand before heading inside, which would save a lot of mess. And the Wi-Fi was a bit of a nightmare; we had no signal most of the time and really relied on it for emergencies, especially with a toddler. It was only decent at the front door. Still, wed definitely come back, fingers crossed for better weather next time!

The owners, Sharon and Rob, really thought of everything, from the well-stocked welcome pack to the little extras for our dogs. The enclosed garden was perfect for the pups and the hot tub was just the icing on the cake. Communication was quick and friendly, which made everything so much easier. We had a lovely break and cant recommend it enough!

We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and really enjoyed our time there. Rob and Sharon have done a fantastic job converting this historic building with such care and theyre genuinely lovely people. Bonnie was adorable too! The place offers everything you need for a chilled, comfy stay. The location is perfect - right in a lovely part of Essex. Wed definitely recommend exploring Thaxted and nearby villages; theres so much charm and history around. Its well worth the visit!

We had such a lovely weekend stay here! Everything met our expectations and were already planning to come back. The pups were totally spoiled with the underfloor heating and had a blast in the garden. Luna even came home with a strained tail from all the wagging-guess she really enjoyed herself!
