Date of stay: 3rd August 2018
Overall, good time, thanks.
Carole, Kent
Date of stay: 27th July 2018
The lodge was lovely. Slightly disappointed that you had to stand on tiptoe on the decking to see the amazing view over the wall, but very private and secluded.
When we stayed we had a problem with the patio doors not shutting but this was sorted but maintenance on the second time of asking.
We had amazing weather during our stay with temperatures in the mid 30s. The deck at our lodge got the full sun all day and there was no shade. Could have done with some way of creating some shade especially as with the full sun the leather sofas inside the lodge were too hot to sit on.
Deborah, Dartford
Date of stay: 16th July 2018

Date of stay: 25th June 2018
we had a great time in the lodge but the sofa needs to be made better as is not very comfortable. On our last day we shut the window in the lounge area and the handle fell off due to lack of maintenance over the years.

Booked for a week and loved the lodge and the hot tub so much, we booked another week and stayed on! Crowhurst Park is welcoming, the staff and facilities perfect for us, and for exploring the surrounding areas and towns etc. We came home chilled and happy. Cant wait to come back later in the year.

Yvonne, Cheshunt
Date of stay: 26th May 2018
Had a lovely week, despite my injury. Very quiet and peaceful so I wouldnt recommend it for teenagers but ideal for me. Rather pricey for food and drink but to be expected. Staff exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Bonus to park by lodge. Theres no entertainment at night, which suited me fine. If you want a break to just chill, this is ideal.
Karl, Kent
Date of stay: 26th May 2018
Wonderful. Fully equipped and a real home from home.
Joanne
Date of stay: 25th May 2018
Just a slight note to say that the leather chairs were a bit saggy, so were a bit difficult to get out of.

Separate the private functions from the main bar and restaurant so that holiday makers can have the use of all the facility, not just the small bar.
Otherwise a lovely site, lodge and setting.

Date of stay: 29th September 2017
Our Garden Lodge was very well equipped and in a nice quite location. The bed was extremely comfortable and having a DVD was great for the evenings. The only faults were the bulbs used in the Lodge weren't very powerful so light was still dim, the floor in the bathrooms and kitchen were extremely sticky so we had to clean them and there was a slight smell to the Lodge which meant us buying some air fresheners. We would definitely come back here again as it was a perfect week of relaxation - just what we needed.
Rita, Poole
Date of stay: 23rd September 2017
The Colorado Lodge was beautiful, very well presented and spotlessly clean. Lots of storage space and plenty of coat hangers! The view from no. 10 was great.

Gaby
Date of stay: 25th August 2017
The Louisiana chalet is meant to be a very luxurious chalet which could do with pepping up, externally and internally. The paint is peeling off the exterior and so looks a bit drab. The light switches and bulbs need checking as some didn't work. Also some of the living area furniture looks quite worn. It is still a very nice place to holiday in.
Linda, Warley
Date of stay: 21st August 2017
the only thing missing was a freezer compartment In the fridge

Although we went out in the mornings, they would have all been happy to stay in the lodge which was very clean and had every facility we could have wanted.
Elaine, Herne Bay
Date of stay: 19th June 2017
Really good facilities. The lodge was well equipped with almost everything we needed - just lacking some sort of sunshade on the balcony - it was a very hot weekend. We originally wanted a lodge with hot tub but were unable to book one as i believe there is only 1 lodge that caters for 6 with a hot tub (any plans for more?).
Kristina, Basingstoke
Date of stay: 29th May 2017
Lovely lodges, perfect for us and our family needs.
Bernard, Romford
Date of stay: 26th May 2017

It needed more crockery and cutlery because we ended up doing a lot of washing up.
Muhammad
Date of stay: 22nd May 2017
I was very unhappy with the facilities of the park. The whole time i was there i could not even use the pool. They said the boiler was broken. They had no urgency to get this repaired and did not have the courtesy to offer any discount. I went to crowhurst so i can enjoy the pool and swim and i never got to do that the whole time i was there
Sylvia, Eastbourne
Date of stay: 19th May 2017

The lodge was very clean and came with nice little touches such as a dishwasher which was supplied with a couple of dishwasher tablets , 2 toilets which was great for a family . The Ontario is small but is perfectly OK. The lounge eating area is fine but two children in the bedroom for a week might be a bit cramped. However, it is good value for money, clean and the beds are very comfortable.

We loved the position of our cabin in the garden area, with a great view. Although there are a lot of cabins, there is still a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere and quietness.

Date of stay: 3rd March 2017
Cottage rather than caravan feel due to width. Huge lounge (too big) while bedrooms could be more generous. Bathroom small and would struggle to cope with 4 adults. Kitchen equipment adequate (OK for 2 but would struggle to cope with 4). Virginia 20 has lovely views down the valley but the French window was quite draughty

Date of stay: 23rd December 2016
Lovely clean lodge. Light and spacious. Had to keep a few curtains closed due to proximity to other lodges but not a big problem. Initially there was a strong smell of sewage emanating from the en suite via the shower but this was sorted out quickly (water evaporating from shower drain means no buffer to soil pipe; this had happened before apparently).

This was our second time at Crowhurst Park we stayed in lodge 11 - Vermont. There were 4 of us (2 couples) and we had plenty of space. The lodge was well equipped and the onsite facilities are excellent. We catered for ourselves but did indulge in the cooked breakfast in the club house on the morning of departure (absolutely gorgeous). We will certainly be back again!!!

We enjoyed our stay. The park was in a lovely setting nice and peaceful. The lodge was very nice very clean with plenty of room and with all mod cons. The leisure facilities were first class and although the shop was small it had a nice variety of bits. We do think however that the park would benefit from a few more adapted cabins.

Nevada 29 was clean comfortable and spacious as 3 of us were staying there the only downside was the picnic table ,,we were unable to use being I had a back injury and one other was disabled but just a trip to reception and they supplied us with 3 chairs,,I have given an 8/10 score for furniture as I found the sofas dipped in the middle a bit ,but everything else worked well and the beds were clean and comfy...

The fridge was switched off when we arrived so it was not suitable for essentials like milk. If it is really necessary for the fridge to be switched off for "cleaning" (which I would dispute; fridges can go mouldy when left off and I've never heard of needing to switch them off for cleaning, more likely a cost saving measure?), then they should certainly be switched back on in anticipation of arriving guests.
John, Braintree Essex

Great spacious lodge. A child gate on the door would be helpful as steep steps for a toddler, but otherwise great
Julie, Rochester
Date of stay: 8th July 2016
The lodge was clean on arrival and the little touches, like tea and coffee, basic cleaning equipment, are very welcome. It's always difficult to get beds right, in my opinion, as everyone has their own opinion of what is comfortable for them, but all furniture and fittings were in good working order and of a good standard.
Emma, Chatham, Kent
Date of stay: 27th June 2016
Only criticism was a tiny bit of black on the seal of the bath - as the bath was a light colour it stood out - didn't stop us from using it but maybe for future it could be pointed out to the lodge cleaners

Date of stay: 12th June 2016
The lodge is spacious and well equipped. The layout is perfect for a couple or a family.
My only criticisms are 1)The lodge is looking a bit tired for the premium price charged. Paint flaking on the outside and bathroom looks tired and old. 2) There was no thermostatic control on the shower, the temperature of the water could be scalding!

Just one difficulty was the fact one needed to put switches on for fridge and freezer, which was not explained fully. The oven needed a switch also and it was hidden away behind the microwave! It was all sorted but does need an amended instruction.

Lodge was good and fine for what we wanted. Vermont suited my son and I but may have been cramped if two adults and teens had stayed. Oven seemed to take ages and was very noisy. Some softer lighting in the living room, ie, a couple of lamps would be good. Outside furniture was scruffy and dirty and I had to clean it before sitting out on our one nice day.

Clean and comfortable lodge, which above all else was warm and cosy for those cold rainy December nights.

The kitchen was perfectly adequate with all the appliances and implements that you would need.

The seating in the lounge was very comfortable. There was a dining table and chairs and a flatscreen TV.

The bed was probably one of the best I've had in lodge accommodation.

We have stay many times before and enjoy Crowhurst Park. On this occasion however the Lodge was not cleaned well. The carpet was dirty and needed cleaning and so did the furniture in the living area. The table was sticky as was the kitchen floor area. The shower door was very difficult to close from the inside. We found human hair floating on the top of the water when we ran the first bath. The TV in the living area was not working properly and there was no WiFi. This is the first time we have had any complaints about cleanliness or anything at all. We really like the park and the facilities are very good and the beds very comfortable and the view glorious. We will go again as we hope this experience was a "one off."

Date of stay: 30th October 2015
Lodge is lovely. Found LOTS of switches for the lights and such but there was 1 switch which we couldn't work out what it did, this bugged me a little and the cable for the fireplace was run in a veru bizarre way with a loop-the-loop running down the wall.
Helen, Banbury
Date of stay: 30th October 2015
Lodges very well spaced out in the walled garden. Our lodge (104) was raised up so had a great view over to the coast. Lodge had everything we needed and enough space for 6 of us (4 adults, 2 children), although the internal walls were pretty thin. Very warm and cosy (we had to switch the heating off as we were warm enough without it - although it was a very warm October halfterm). Park in general very quiet, with very few cars/no noise, but the walled garden especially quiet as you leave your car outside the area.

Really happy with the lodge but some of the kitchen units needed some TLC - I fixed a door nearly off its hinges, the hot water tap in the bathroom was not secure and a light pull switch got stuck in the 'on' position. Minor issues really, though, which we worked round!!

Lovely holiday home, our hot tub broke on the first full day so we were gutted but we understand these things happen. We were offered a refund of this element there and then.

We enjoyed our weekend. The park & lodge were very nice. Food served very nice & good value. Staff all very friendly & helpful. The only thing that could be improved would be to add more indoor activities like badminton & table tennis that is always available. Also more pool tables & dart boards as only had one of each

I would highly recommend vermont Lodge. It's beautiful, very quiet, well insulated and great value for money. My partner and I were so surprised at how clean and well spec the place was. The central heating was brilliant and we never had a cold night despite the terrible November weather. The fireplace was added bonus. Although the lodge is very modern in its style it felt very cosy and I felt right at home on the first night. This was our first Lodge break and we're glad we picked vermont.

If I had to find a negative I would say that there were a few spiders here and there which could be an issue if you're a wuss like me. But once we got the hoover out and got rid of a few cobwebs we didn't see them again. Plus it is in the countryside.

Bottom line is, we loved it and will go back again! We have also recommended it to friends and family.

Our lodge had an en-suite bathroom as well as a family one, which mad a big difference with 4 adults and two teenagers staying there. Spacious lounge, kitchen with dishwasher (tablets provided). Very impressed.

Lovely comfortable chalet, loved all the fittings being wood- even the soap dish ! Beautiful country views. Liked the wooden bench outside too. Chalet had everything we needed in it- right down to a pair of scissors ! Great to be able to park car adjacent to chalet.

A beautiful lodge set in a walled garden, secluded and well positioned. The lodge was modern and extremely comfortable with all furnishings and fittings clean and fresh. Couldn't fault it at all.

Date of stay: 20th October 2014
Pool area was nothing like the image shown. It looks really nice, calm and relaxing in the pictures. It was noisy, tired and far too full. That was a real let down as it was the big reason for choosing that place.
The accommodation was a really pleasant surprise, loved it. Basic but totally fulfilled our needs.
Would stay again if the accommodation was cheap, I wouldn't factor in the pool and 'spa' at all though, real shame.
We didn't use other facilities, just went out for walks, which were were well placed to do.

The lodge was well equipped, with a good kitchen and everything you need. The sofas, chairs and tables were obviously used but more than adequate for a short stay and the hot tub looked new, well maintained and very easy to use and enjoy.

Date of stay: 6th October 2014
The only problem was the cooker. There were instructions for using the grill didn't seem to be relevant to the cooker in the lodge. Also the grill handle didn't fit the actual grill tray. I cooked a fried breakfast every morning and I set off the alarm despite having the cooker hood on full and the doors open. Very annoying.

The suite and the carpet were looking a bit tired and probably need replacing at some point. The fridge smelt but this was replaced as soon as we reported it. We booked the lodge with quite a good discount which made it very good value for money.

Everything spot on...a view down the valley would have pulled a 10 but it was a trade off for the hot tub.
Nice touches were the complimentary tea, coffee and dishwasher tablets.

It would have been good to have en-suite SHOWER as well , instead of JUST the toilet.

Also, a hair-drier in the accommodation would be a welcome necessity, just like you have one in a GOOD Hotel.

Date of stay: 23rd June 2014
The lodge we were in was well equipped although some of the finishings were looking a bit tired. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the lodge itself was spacious. the main bedroom did not have much room to manoeuvre around the bed due to the large wardrobe in there. The wardrobe doors in the main bedroom could not be opened fully due to the close proximity to the bed, however this was not a major problem as were only staying for a weekend.
Amanda, Sutton Coldfield

Date of stay: 30th May 2014
The wardrobe in the twin room had hangers so high, none of us could reach them. Likewise some kitchen stuff too, i.e very high shelves in fridge and cupboards. Also, we had to use our bed pillows as cushions on the settee and chairs in order to sit comfortably. Everything else in the chalet was just excellent.
Michele, Dukinfield Cheshire

lovely clean and comfortable, let down by one of the settees being broken, also could do with canopies or shelters for hot tubs.

Bedding could do with a more modern approach as very dated design.

Date of stay: 10th May 2014
Accommodation overall very good: comfortable and clean.
Suggestions:
ceiling lamp in the living is (too) bright: place 1 or 2 small (wall mounted) lamps for a more cosy atmosphere
small vacuum cleaner would be really helpful to clean the carpet (crumps) in the living
Howard, Sussex

Could've been better if sofas were reclining and the jacuzzi was too hot. Also would've been better if there was a wooden swing on the decking to relax on while the sun is setting

very 1980's material! We removed bedspreads and enjoyed
white duvets and pillows - very comfy beds.

The accommodation was excellent, spacious, clean, well equipped and in a good location, it exceeded our expectations. However, we used the pool and facilities on the Sunday of our stay. but this was spoilt by a resident who dominated the Jacuzzi for the whole time we were there and from his loud comments, made it quite obvious he objected to paying guests. Another guest we spoke to told us he had encountered 'Dave' from Sidcup and had the same experience, This was a shame and did spoil our visit, although this is not why we would not return to Crowhurst, we like to visit different locations.
Brenda, Dartford

A very nice lodge which was good and spacious for us. The heating was on when we arrived and the warm of the lodge matched the warmth of the staff help. There was a problem with the power twice during our stay but the staff sorted it out within 30mins and a faulty kettle was found to be the cause.
Donna, Brighton
Date of stay: 24th February 2014
Loved the lodge overall. Only feedback would be, that I was a lady alone with two children and was put the furtherest lodge from the Main house, was a little nervous at night.

AMAZING CABIN!! I will defiantly be coming back very soon! Home from home but in a cabin lol.. Leather sofas, fitted kitchen with gas hob and cooker, microwave, full sets of cutlery. Comfortable beds which is always a bonus and very spacious..
Kate
We had a great stay! Cabin was really clean and well equipped.

With the exception of one member of staff in the bar/restaurant, who was rude when we arrived for break face at 11, as she had laid out the tables for lunch already even though breakfast was not finished until 11.30. Other than that, we had a lovely weekend.
Gwen
We had a lovely time, the lodge and its location was perfect. The singer on Saturday evening was fantastic, we all thoroughly enjoyed the evening with him. The only issue we had with the site was the fact that there were private functions on in the main bar area on Friday night, which we were advised about therefore it did not affect us, but on the Saturday night, without any notification, the main bar area was closed to the park guests and owners, leaving us with the small bar which cannot accommodate the amount of visitors wanting to see the entertainment. It had only 24 chairs and 5/6 tables, clearly not enough. Also the television was on throughout the entertainment which was very rude. The singer deserved more respect but some if the customers in the bar were watching the football, not listening to the singer. Very poor organisation we felt. We loved the site and would like to book again for later in the year, but would need to be advised if there are private functions on before we could confirm.
Stella
Absolutely perfect! Just what we were looking for, so peaceful, our lodge was warm cosy and perfect Loved it, will 100% book again My 16 year old loved the fishing and my 10 and 5 year olds can’t wait to go back
James
Couldn’t have been easier, staff were incredible, place was incredible, secluded but not too far from locality, definitely going again for our anniversary
