With family-friendly facilities, a stunning fishing lake, and the many attractions of East Sussex close by, Coghurst Hall is the perfect location for your holiday or short break.

The lord of the manor has long since departed, but the beauty of the country estate remains.

The clubhouse offers traditional, stately decor with a laid-back atmosphere, so you can relax and unwind in plush surroundings.

Our indoor pool is unique and gives the impression you could be swimming through underground caves!

Hastings is just a short drive away and is enjoying a transformation as a fashionable holiday resort.

The Old Town is a hotspot of trendy bars and restaurants, whilst the traditional seaside amusements, boating lake and crazy golf course, which incidentally holds the "World Crazy Golf Championships" every year, remain as popular as ever.

So visit Coghurst Hall for your Sussex holiday, we’re sure that you’ll be impressed.

Visitor Reviews of Coghurst Hall

Date of stay: 1st November 2023
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely wooded park. The location is stunning, especially with the lake nearby - perfect for fishing or just relaxing by the water. The caravan was spotless and had everything we needed, plus parking and a small enclosed garden for our collie to explore. The only hiccup was the bed being a bit too soft for our liking, so sleep wasnt perfect. Still, we had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely loved our stay! The caravan was comfy and the area perfect.

The park was quite nice and the food was lovely, but honestly, the caravan wasnt cleaned properly despite claims of a deep clean. The kitchen light was also out, which was a pain.

Overall, our stay was pretty good. The caravan was tidy and comfy, just a few minor hiccups but nothing too serious. Would stay again!

We loved the adventure of being out in the wild, but finding the place was a bit tricky with the poor signage. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience for us.

The place is really lovely, but the owner taking their five noisy dogs out at dawn was pretty disruptive. Still, worth a visit!

We had a great time at Coghurst Hall! It brought back memories from my childhood weekends and holidays. The staff checking on our caravan was a lovely touch, really made us feel looked after. Definitely recommend!

We had such a great 4-day break! The site was peaceful and super pretty, perfect for relaxing. The little disco was a nice touch - not loud or rowdy, so we slept soundly. Theres so much to see nearby, we barely scratched the surface. Cant wait to come back and explore more!

We loved the caravan, it was almost br and new and really comfortable. The separate bathroom and toilet made a big difference and the large shower was a real treat! We did notice some wood shavings in the wardrobes, which was a bit unexpected but easily sorted. It wouldve been handy to know to bring oven gloves and maybe a bigger saucepan for cooking for eight. All in all, it totally made our holiday!

The views are stunning and having outside decking with a table is such a bonus. The only thing is, the clubhouse feels a bit cramped with limited tables. Still, we loved it!

It's surprising there aren't more takeaway spots like fish and chips around.

We felt at home right away in this accommodation! We were a bit worried about the lack of central heating, but the gas fire had the place cosy in a minute. We would have liked to see a larger TV and a more substantial set of steps to enter the door, but that didnt spoil a thing.

The caravan was just perfect! It had everything we needed and was super clean too. The location was absolutely stunning, right by the beach. We loved every minute of our stay and would definitely come back again. Amazing experience all round! Honestly, we couldn't have asked for more.

We had a great time! It was so quiet and relaxfull, exactly what we needed after all that hard work. Full marks to the staff for being extremely pleasant. The caravan was pretty good too, especially since we have a dog. Overall, were very happy.

What a great spot! It has a lovely swimming pool and a bar that shows all the sports on telly, plus the food is well-priced too. The lake is perfect if you like fishing. We will definitely head back there sometime in the future!

Good holiday, would definitely do it again but at a bigger park with more facilities. There wasn't really any adult entertainment the week we were there.

The caravan was super clean and modern. The beds were comfy and definitely better than a lot of caravans we've stayed in!

We stayed in Gold Plus Valley 77and if you can get this caravan, do it! Its spacious and exceptionally clean. The beautiful veranda was perfect for sitting out in the evenings, overlooking the lake. The only thing we noticed was that the staff tended to sit on their green tops eating lunch, which was a bit odd. They also put boxes in the open top bin, so just a suggestionmaybe have a seagull-proof bin? A few times, my 12-year-old daughter had to pick up boxes that the seagulls had pulled out, as she was worried the ducks and ducklings would try to eat them. Just a thought, not a complaint!

We had a brilliant time at this caravan park! Its so quiet and the atmosphere is really friendly. Perfect for a relaxing getaway!

Date of stay: 24th March 2014
The caravan was great and very clean when we arrived! We do think there should be more amenities on site, like a cash machine and a broader selection in the shop. Also, the shop closes way too early!!!
James, Sutton Surrey
Absolutely loved our stay! The caravan was comfy, clean and perfect for us.
Emma, Carshalton
The park itself was lovely and the food really hit the spot. However, the caravan wasnt as clean as expected, especially since they claimed it was deep cleaned. The kitchen light was also out, which was a bit of a letdown. Overall, decent stay but could have been better on the cleaning front!
Jessica, Luton
Fantastic experience, highly recommend to everyone.
