Visitor Reviews of Crowhurst Park Lodges

Date of stay: 9th May 2025
We really enjoyed our stay overall. Sadly, we couldnt use most of the facilities because of Covid, except for the bar which was lovely. The only real issue was the main bathroom-there was no seal around the bath and shower door, so the floor got soaked every time we showered. Still, it was a nice trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard Mead. The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right outside were perfect. The hosts were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Lovely experience!

We recently stayed at this charming cottage on a working farm and honestly, it was a lovely find. The privacy was great, even with the farm nearby and the owners, Robert and Sharon, were genuinely lovely folks. The place felt really spacious, especially the kitchen and bathroom, which were well equipped. The bed was super comfy and the garden was perfect for our dog-completely secluded and with nice furniture. We enjoyed lots of walks around and tried some local restaurants like The Star and The Maypole; both were pretty good. Overall, wed definitely recommend it for a relaxing getaway!

Note - We had a great time! Upon arrive we were greeted by a welcome bag with goodies inside it which was lovely. The lodge was cleaned to a great standard and we were very impressed with the lodge we had, we saw the sun set every evening. Jacuzzi was amazing and always at the perfect temperature. The lodge was very well equipped, we requested extra duvets and this was delivered quite quickly by a lovely gentleman whose name I forget, great customer service! I enjoyed the therapy lodge and had a few treatments, its great there is a spa with steam room, sauna and pool on site, only thing I noticed was when the staff were cleaning the Matts close to t he kids pool area, some of the dirty water he used to clean the Matts went into the pool as he was brushing the water out! A bit more care in that regard would be good as it wasnt great to see. When the pool is cleaned nothing should be washed into the pool. Kids enjoyed the large chess board and soft play. If it had a slightly higher slide that would make the soft play perfect, kids loved it either way and the fact there was one on site was a bonus. Adventure park, ponds and woodland walk was lovely too (some hedges do need a trim), we used sticks to go through the path and move branches out the way which was exciting for the kids. Restaurant was nice, kids fish finger portion was great. A few more healthier and vegetarian options would be good to add, the mushroom and Camembert stick starter was nice. Perhaps adding a creamy pasta dish, or a grilled fish dish with a nice sauce would be beneficial, they are quite quick and easy to make, we would have eaten more in the restaurant if there was more of a choice, and also having Tabasco sauce on the side for anyone who wants to add chilli to their food would be good! We eat halal or kosher meat so could not enjoy the roast which smelt great. Cream tea was lush. I can tell the owners of the holiday park take pride in what they do, you can tell this from the general presentation and facilities on offer. I could not tell if there was an option to hire racquets for the tennis courts and cant recall if there was a ping pong table on site, more info on that upon arrival would have been good. Another good thing to have had a bit more of upon arrival would have been a quick introduction to the holiday park, being told where the kids play areas were, opening times for the restaurant, pool and spa etc and also quick recommendations on what to do in the area. This would have added a cherry on top with regards to customer service. Overall a great experience, we will definitely be back!Thank you again Crowhurst. Regards
Oliver

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, though the lodges exterior could use some repairs-it looked a bit tired. The hot tub was decent, but weve had better ones. The real highlight was the breathtaking sea views from the park, absolutely stunning!

Date of stay: 6th January 2025
We had such a lovely stay, honestly it was better than we expected! The photos made the place look a bit dated, but that actually added to the cosy vibe. Everything was spotless and we loved the little touches like Christmas crackers and chocolates on the table - on the 30th of December, no less! The staff were super friendly and really helpful throughout. The pool, sauna and gym were all top-notch and best of all, no need to book ahead. Our whole family had a great time and were already talking about coming back soon. Definitely a place wed recommend!

We were very happy with our experience at the park. The cabin was very well setup, we were very impressed by the attention to detail for Christmas with a little Christmas Tree to decorate yourself and a fully setup Christmas table with decorations. The cabin was nice and clean and you have everything you need for self catering. The employees in general were very helpful. The bed mattresses were a little aged if I am honest. The heated pool is not the warmest for a winter swim, but the temperature is good enough for a quick dip if you brave it. The other facilities like the steam room and sauna are a great addition. We enjoyed out stay and will be back.

We had a really lovely time at the park! The cabin was spot on - super cosy and thoughtfully decorated for Christmas, with a little tree to hang your own baubles on. The Christmas table was all set up with festive touches, which we loved. The place was spotless and it had everything we needed for self-catering, so no fuss there. The staff were genuinely helpful throughout our stay, which made things even better. Only thing we noticed was the mattresses felt a bit worn out, but not a big deal. The heated pool was a bit chilly for winter, but still manageable for a quick dip if youre brave enough. The steam room and sauna were a real bonus too. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and definitely plan to come back!

We recently stayed at the Richmond lodge for a birthday weekend and honestly, it was fantastic! The decor is really stylish and its super clean and spacious - we felt right at home. The views are stunning and having a hot tub was such a bonus. Everything we needed was there, fully equipped, which made things easy. The cosy snug was perfect for relaxing. Wed definitely come back to Richmond again - loved every minute of it!
Emma
Date of stay: 4th November 2024
We stayed at the lodge and it really had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The space was great, especially the patio doors leading to the sun balcony - perfect for unwinding with a drink while watching the sunset. Beds were comfy and we slept really well. The only thing is, No 10 could do with a doorstep outside the entrance - theres quite a step down, which might be tricky for some. Overall, a lovely stay!
