We had a great stay at this cosy cottage! The place was spotless and well stocked, making us feel right at home. Loved the easy access to dog walks right outside and meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig! The host was super friendly and quick to reply. Definitely coming back, such good value!

We had an awesome stay at this cosy little cottage. Its perfectly tucked away, so peaceful but still close to shops and stuff. The hot tub was such a treat and the underfloor heating made everything super comfy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie are lovely hosts. Cant wait to return!

We had a lovely short break over half term, though it went by way too fast! Definitely wishing wed booked a full week instead of just Monday to Friday. The lodge itself was one of the nicest places weve stayed in; really comfy and well-kept. The only downside was the lack of facilities on the site, but with so much to do outside, it didnt really matter. We spent our days exploring and theres plenty to see rain or shine. Knightsayers in Tiverton is worth a visit if the weathers good and the woodl and walks are simply beautiful. The Keep in Dorchester and Fleet Air Museum are perfect for history buffs or plane enthusiasts. Wed love to go back!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is stunning and feels really private, which was perfect for relaxing. The owners are super friendly and always there if you need anything, but they respect your space. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day cycling-so relaxing! Only thing to keep in mind is that the cottage sits right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. Took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt ruin our trip at all. Wed definitely return!

We stayed at this lovely cottage and loved how peaceful it was - perfect for us. The hot tub was a real highlight and the owners were so helpful without being intrusive. They really nailed it!

We spent a week here from the 15th to 22nd July with our two little dachshunds and they loved every second. They made friends with other pups in the village of Thaxted, which was adorable to watch. The cottage itself is really charming, especially the hot tub - perfect for those scorching days when the water cooled just right. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. It was nice seeing their horses being taken out each day and even though it's near Stansteds flight path, we enjoyed watching the planes land. Would definitely come back!

Overall, we had a lovely stay! The place was spotless and we were really impressed with the cleanliness. Only minor hiccup was finding an acrylic nail in one bathroom, but it didnt ruin the trip. In fact, two friends booked after seeing our pics and hearing about it!

Date of stay: 24th January 2025
Our stay at the lodge was honestly fantastic. We were in number 15, a spacious three-bedroom thats pet-friendly, with a hot tub and it really felt like a cosy home away from home. The place was modern, well-maintained and had a lovely vibe. We loved how peaceful and quiet everything was, especially when we sat outside with the cushions out on the furniture. The weather was perfect for relaxing outdoors! A little heads up - we did notice there was no hand soap or washing up liquid provided and only one bin liner, so make sure to bring your own. It seemed a bit odd not to have hand soap, maybe an oversight? The cleanliness overall was good, but we did spot some tiny issues like a bit of mould in the grout of the bath and shower panel. Nothing major, but it did knock the score down a tad. We had a toddler with us and although there isnt a play park on-site, theres one within walking distance. We didnt go, as most days we explored the area instead. Theres so much to do! Definitely recommend heading to Canonteign Falls - its a must-see. Just a note, this isnt a site packed with facilities like playparks or entertainment, so youll need a car. The location is quite secluded, but thats part of the charm. All in all, it was exactly what we were after - a peaceful, beautiful break with lovely walks nearby and loads to see within an hours drive. Wed happily come back and would definitely suggest it to friends and family. Great spot!

Really enjoyed the walk, the dogs loved exploring the fields and the place was quite charming.
Sam, Caerphilly
Date of stay: 13th January 2025
We noticed the coconut cover around the hot tub could use a refresh and some extra length for better privacy, which would make relaxing much easier. Also, the decking rails need a good treat with mould remover, as once the green mould takes hold, its tricky to get rid of. Just some small tweaks that could save hassle later. Its a bit frustrating trying to unwind when youre doing handyman stuff all the time!
