New Forest Lodges in Dorset benefit from a magnificent location on the edge of the stunning New Forest National Park and are a real haven of peace and tranquility. The exclusive cluster of lodges offer the perfect luxury escape and are recommended to families, couples and groups of friends looking to explore the region.

The lodges are dotted around the landscaped grounds and many overlook the private lakes. All of the lodges here boast sumptuous interior design, contemporary features and private verandahs with hot tubs.  There is really no better place to relax and unwind.

If you can drag yourself away from the comfort of your lodge then you will find plenty to see and do close by. The breathtaking woodlands and heathlands are teaming with wildlife and are a paradise for nature lovers. Walking and horse riding are available locally and the quaint market town of Ringwood is well worth a visit. We also recommend a trip to the sub-tropical Gardens and Swannery at Abbotsbury and the Bovington Tank Museum.

Dorchester Lodges sleep 6 while Wimborne sleep 4. Both have modern fitted kitchens and open plan living areas with woodburning stove. The large sheltered verandahs with barbecues and outdoor furniture offer the perfect place for alfresco dining and the hot tubs are ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring.

Date of stay: 25th May 2018
Well worth the money and the lodges are situated in a lovely, charming park managed by the family.

Hot tub and bbq were both fantastic additions. Travelled with a 2 month old baby and it was the perfect place to take her for her first holiday
C, Worthing
Date of stay: 21st May 2018
Lovely relaxing holiday
Jean, Chelmsford
Date of stay: 18th May 2018
The lodge is very nice & very well equipped with everything you need
Hans, Isle Of Wight
Date of stay: 30th April 2018
If there is anything to mention that could be improved, its this:
Garden fencing has been erected to provide the necessary privacy. Unfortunately, one fence section has fallen down; it would be good if that section could be repaired, as it does impact on the feeling of privacy somewhat.
The lodge comes with electrically opening/closing Velux roof windows, operated via remote control. Not all of these were working properly on this occasion.
One or two ceiling lights were also out of order.
That said, all of the abovementioned issues are very minor and did in no way impact on our overall enjoyment.
Kerry, Dartford
Date of stay: 16th April 2018
This holiday was lovely, the cabins are owned by a farmer who had a lot of land including some lakes which you can fish in, they breed their own cows and pigs which we were lucky enough to see - 2 day old piglets! The cabin itself was very welcoming with homemade bread and a lovely cake, milk and eggs from the farm an added bonus. The cabin was nicely decorated and all rooms have a small tv - not that we used them we were too busy using the log fire and the hot tub! We did have a little visitor in one of our bedroom windows - a little bird that would tap on the window in the morning to say hello! Only one thing which might put some people off is the gravel drive leading to the cabins is very bumpy and may not be ideal for low or sporty cars, overall great holiday and would highly recommend!
Laura, Barry
Date of stay: 2nd April 2018
Great lodge, staff, facilities, hot tub and loved the fact it was on a farm.

We paid a premium as we were visiting during the Easter holidays. Had we not have to pay that then we would have felt it was a better value for money.
Craig, Barking
Date of stay: 23rd February 2018
Great value for money and fresh bread milk and cake on arrival
Samantha, Fareham
Date of stay: 19th February 2018
The lodge was very clean, and lovely and warm. It was well equipped with all mod cons except WiFi (suited us just fine as we wanted to escape!). The hot tub was amazing, and the woodburner created a very cosy atmosphere in the evenings. The welcome pack of fresh bread, milk and a home-made lemon drizzle cake was a really nice touch. It was also much appreciated to have linen and towels provided and no extra charges for heating. We would definitely like to return.
Gillian, Northampton
Date of stay: 29th January 2018

Date of stay: 22nd January 2018

Claire, Welwyn Garden City
Date of stay: 18th December 2017
Loved loved loved the woodcock lodge, so cosy with comfortable beds, a living area where you can sit back and relax in front of the tv with the log fire burning. To then go into the hot tub and gaze into the stars with a glass of champagne in your hand (okay thats personal prefrence, highly recommend though). Everything about our holiday was perfect just didnt want to go home, off to book our next visit there.
Date of stay: 6th November 2017
Could not fault it
Date of stay: 16th October 2017
Spent a brilliant few days here with family and friends. 2 young children with us who loved the hot tub and the accommodation was first class. No need to even leave the cabin as long as you have enough provisions with you. All of the features you could want are all provided in the home. There was even an iron.
The farm shop has some excellent meat and basic provisions for sale and I recommend the pies, mmm, delicious.
We didn't bring a pet with us but we found the cabin very clean and could not detect any pet smell or dog hair which was good.
Definately looking at booking again sometime. Lack of mobile phone signal could be an issue for some but it is possible to get a signal if you walk up to the farm near the cow sheds or up the hill behind the cabins.
Diane, Kent
Date of stay: 13th October 2017

Date of stay: 6th October 2017
Great holiday with lots of little touches that made it better than other places I have stayed. Little things such as a cake and fresh bread, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. The hot tub was also a great bonus and it didn't feel overlooked at all.

Jacqui, Ashford
Date of stay: 14th July 2017
Site very remote and very peaceful but near enough to everything. Very helpful staff. Would recommend if you want a total break from everything.
Teresa, Waterlooville
Date of stay: 3rd July 2017
Had a fantastic chilled break! Would recommend if you are looking to chill and relax in peaceful surroundings. The site owners are lovely and are really helpful; the lodges are well equipped, clean and well maintained and the added touch of fresh baked bread and cake on arrival was well received! At the entrance to the site, there is a small farm shop that sells meat, eggs etc.

If you want an onsite gym, pool, shop, bar, restaurants etc then this is NOT the place to go. Also, you and your guests will need to actually talk to each other as there is no WIFI or phone signal!

We absolutely loved it there and have booked to go back in October.
Paul, Hove

Home to home. On the last day we even found a hairdryer. There was an iron and an ironing board too.
Jacki, Shoreham By Sea
Date of stay: 10th March 2017
We had a lovely few days, the weather was changeable but that didn't stop us using the hot tub on the verandah in the slightest. We were blessed with wonderful sunshine when we visited Bournemouth during our staying enjoying an ice cream whilst walking our dogs along the sandy beach.
The only thing that would make improve our stay would internet access, if we wanted to access any form of access we had to walk up the lane for 250 yards even
to find 3G. We had been told that there wasn't any internet in the Lodge , so we had taken our O2 hub with us, but as there wasn't any phone signal for either Vodafone or O2 that was useless too. We like to google new areas that we are visiting the night before in order to plan our days when we are away, my partner likes spread betting and I like to download my Daily Telegraph crossword each morning before breakfast. That is why we weren't able to give top marks.
Cayley, Oxford
Date of stay: 17th February 2017
This lodge is like a home away from home, everything you could possibly need.

Thomas, Fareham
Date of stay: 14th November 2016
Best place and amazing cabin only point id make its there no phone signal or wifi but thats not a draw back against how good the cabin and staff are, just to out for anyone eles its off grid 100% but id go back for sure it was amazing place abd cabin!!
Date of stay: 7th November 2016
The best place we have stayed in the UK couldn't recommend it anymore! Everything was amazing and you are missing out if you do not book up and go!!!
Derek, Southampton
Date of stay: 28th October 2016
only one problem, if your looking for some where quite, make sure you find a place without dogs, every one there had dogs, they failed to keep them under control, and the constant barking was so anoying, it would have been Quieter at Battersea dogs home.
Date of stay: 28th October 2016
The Harbridge lodge we stayed in was quite new, the finish was of a very good standard, and it was a lovely quiet and peaceful area to stay. The farmer (john) and his wife and son were all very welcoming and made are stay all the more pleasant. looking forward to staying again in February.
Liz, Norwich
Date of stay: 21st October 2016
Our holiday was amazing, John was lovely, our lodge was lovely and the location was amazing. The only thing id change would be to have Sky Movies instead of Sky Sports, just purely because we arent really into sports and would have liked to have been able to put a movie on in the evenings. Apart from that everything was amazing and we would definately go again!! So many things to see and do, we personally loved Beaulieu Motor Museum and Go Ape!!
Sharon, Leicester
Date of stay: 21st October 2016

Date of stay: 27th June 2016
Fabulous for exploring the New Forest. The owners were very helpful. The lodge's hottub was lovely and private and the location with the 3 lakes was fantastic. Plenty of towels were provided nod quality toiletry products. Great for watching wildlife, we saw a deer, lots of Great Spotted Woodpeckers and a Yellow Hammer.
Adrian, Eastbourne
Date of stay: 20th June 2016
Overall our stay in the lodge was first class. The quality of the fixtures--fittings--furniture and lay out was faultless. To sit in the hot tub at 11 pm with the peace and quiet watching the stars whilst drinking bubbles we found idyllic. The 3 nights we spent there were almost perfect. There were only 3 minor things we feel would have made the our experience perfect---1), the rear sauna wall had become detached from the side wall hence there was a gap of about 2 inches all the way down. I am not sure how much difference this made to the heat but the temperature did not get to any where near what it should have done. 2) We felt that there should have been more fencing between the lodges to stop people from the other lodges walking into our area, it would only require 2 fences fitted and that would give total privacy, our neighbours and their dog walked around once and we found this intrusive. 3) I would imagine that many of the people staying in the lodges would spend some time naked in the hot tub and sauna, we did find it off putting and again intrusive that twice a day someone came and checked the hot tub. Whist we understood that this check has to be made i think it would be better if there were specific times for this visit because it could have been very embarrassing. These points did not detract from our pleasure and we will certainly be going back again this year and we have recommended the lodges to friends.
Date of stay: 3rd June 2016
Great lodge, good to have the dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.
Only negative was the double bed wasn't very comfortable!
Jennifer, Le65
Date of stay: 30th May 2016
Had a brilliant time, the lodge was even nicer than the pictures look online, loved it. Spent a lot of time star gazing from the hot tub whilst our dog pottered around in the long grass! Lovely setting, the owner was a lovely helpful chap and there were nice finishing touches such as homemade cake, bread and milk. We will be coming back, magical place!
Tony, Stowmarket, Suffolk
Date of stay: 16th May 2016
Lodge was well presented, clean and tidy - staff very helpful at all times.
The hot tub was a real plus - we used it every day, with the covered area around the front of the lodge being a great idea! Lots to do in the local area and if going further afield the local road systems are great.
Emily, Gosport
Date of stay: 2nd May 2016
The lodge was clean and tidy upon arrival, and had everything we needed to make it a home from home!
Suzanne, Exeter
Date of stay: 2nd May 2016
Great lodge, so clean, cake, bread and milk plus other sundries all on arrival.
Julie, Bristol
Date of stay: 8th April 2016
Fantastic holiday, would definitely go there again. The lodge was well equipped and comfortable. My only gripe would be that although it was very clean on the surface, there was quite a lot of dust under the beds, sofas etc. Anywhere it couldn't be seen!!
Date of stay: 4th April 2016
Fantastic location and great lodges.
Very helpful and friendly owner.
Really recommend for a short break.
Bethan, Pembrokeshire
Date of stay: 25th March 2016
What a lovely place to stay, with a nice hot tub. Very secluded but near enough to all the attractions. Friendly owners. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
Date of stay: 14th March 2016
Lovely stay, peaceful, relaxing and great cabin. Perfect for our groups visit.
Only give a 9 as there is no internet/wifi/reception there and one of our group has a child so just a little cut off. Enjoyed no Facebook etc but would like to be contactable.
Danny, Greenford
Date of stay: 11th March 2016
Very cosy, even made me start redesigning the layout for a place of our own on my house design app, I'm a sudo-architect, lol. The only thing I didn't like was the fridge and freezer it's integrated and raise off the floor I'm only 5'2" and I found this difficult, had to remove the veg draws to put things at a better height for me. And they new BBQ grill parts the ones they have are starting to rust. A

Date of stay: 4th January 2016
Our lodge was stunning. We had the best new year just my 2 boys my husband and myself. Farmer John is marvellous and you feel so welcome. We really did not want leave. The bread and cake was lovely and i recommend buying a victoria sponge from Debbie as its amazing!

I personally loved not being connected to Wi-Fi and not having signal but my husband struggled without Wi-Fi so maybe a good idea if they had it.

We will be back.

Thank you
James, Camberley

Lodge was perfect !
David, Cobham
Date of stay: 2nd November 2015
Great of the first on this site and still in really good order. Staff helpful if required and on hand for questions etc. Sky tv good but wifi would also be a great addition. Understand the cleaning of hot tubs in between stays, but a little frustrating that it was not hot on the first evening. Something to consider please. We would come back for a third visit though with little hesitation.
Justin, W-s-m
Date of stay: 2nd November 2015

Lovely setting. Well equiped and clean lodge. Log burner and hot tub were great! Home made bread and cake on arrival was a really nice touch and a welcome treat. Would definately stay again. John and co. are really nice and helpful. Make sure you buy something from their farm shop- we can recommend the chocolate cake!
Date of stay: 5th October 2015
Friendly staff and great setting highly recommend and would definitely stay again
Amy, Kent
Date of stay: 28th September 2015
A peaceful location, rural and beautiful sights to wake up to.
Cabin was great, 5 girls travelled on a weekend away to relax and use the hot tub.
Kitchen really well equipped, owner helpful and friendly, two bathrooms good for 5 people in a 6 bed cabin. All you need for a self contained SC break.
Only two pieces of feed tub wasn't warm enough to use on day of arrival so would have preferred for it to be ready for us. Some will see this as a good thing and some won't, no internet or phone reception in the cabin. We would have liked some reception but I know some people will see that as a blessing.
We loved our break and would re visit next year!
Barbara, Coventry

Nicola, Worthing
Date of stay: 10th July 2015
Same as above except, we loved the sunken bath and the complimentary cake was lovely. They thought of everything including a pint of real milk. Also provided: information and what was about, a concise choice of menus from different places. Even a takeaway service by the local indian.

Expensive holiday for the time of year

This was one of the best UK holidays we have had. The lodge was fantastic, and the hot tub was particularly good. We were impressed with how well maintained the lodge was, and the added extras of cake, bread and tea/coffee in the kitchen were much appreciated!

Great place, great facility. Quite pricey but worth it for a romantic treat. Issue with hot tub not being hot enough but there is an easy workaround and wish this had been explained to us without having to ask first.

The sauna seemed a bit cool, and the bed linen, although pretty, was scratchy. Farmer John was lovely and we made friends with the animals. The hot tub was incredible and we are trying to find some time to come back, we will definitely be back, to this particular one, as we really connected with it. A very relaxing experience overall.
Date of stay: 2nd March 2015
Only thing to advise about the new forest lodges is, the fishing lakes are no longer cared for. It is displayed on the website that fishing is on site, but when the lakes are not well kept anymore it's a good experience.

Loved the log burner fire which created a warm cosy atmosphere which blended in with the weather and quietness of the location, complimented by the hot tub - absolutely delightful for a winter mini break, and loved the Dorset cake as part of the welcome
Date of stay: 17th November 2014
Fantastic break away! It is perfect for a couples get away or a group weekend away. We took full advantage of the hot tube and log fire. The owner was faultless and very welcoming, the added extras ie bread and cake on arrival made us feel relaxed and comfortable...of course the sky sport was a hit with my boyfriend. It was actually really nice to not have any phone signal as we made the most of our time away! Would recommend to many and will back when we can!!
Thank you

Our pet friendly lodge was a compact but neatly designed Nordic style 3 double bed with 1 ensuite, a family bathroom and good kitchen / living space. The large hot tub on the large verandah was a welcome bonus. Inside the comfort was very good, but the initial lack of a frying pan (soon corrected) made breakfasts tricky. Outside the very good verandah furniture needed cushions to get the 10 stars.

Date of stay: 19th May 2014
the lodge was beautiful, perfect for our romantic getaway. the only complaints we had was the very noisy door leading into the bedroom (which the owner was aware of and was in the process of finding someone to replace it) and the sauna didn't work (again the owner was aware of and was waiting for the part). we even had the essentials like tea, coffee, milk, sugar, a fresh loaf of bread and a lovely homemade cake.

Fresh bread and a homemade cake on arrival was a really nice. Hot tub was great fun. Lots to do in surrounding area for kids. Dorset Heavy Horse Centre 5 mins away is a good day out. Beautiful lodge, well stocked kitchen with every utensil we could have required. Greeted with fresh, homemade bread and cake and fresh flowers.
As scores reflect, 6 adults & 3 dogs in a lodge! Plenty of room, facilities great & none of us wanted to leave.
The fact we keep on coming back for more R&R really says it all... The first time we stayed at NF Lodges was when they had only just opened; back then there were only 4 lodges. We ended up booking 3 or 4 times in the following 2-3 years. Now, after having returned following a ca. 5 year absence, the lodges have more than doubled in number, but we are extremely pleased to say the bigger scale has not ruined the 'hidden treasure' experience that we have always found so attractive. Furthermore, the impeccable and friendly service by the owners is still prevalent. In summary: Cannot fault NF Lodges. All I need now is another excuse to make my next booking...
The lodge was beautiful, log burner ready to go on arrival and fresh bread and cake welcomes, the surrounding ponds make it look stunning. My only downfall was the condition of the farm road leading to the lodges, the massive unavoidable potholes unfortunatly cost me damage to the equivalent value of the lodge. That being said. I would still recommend the lodge and am hoping to book again soon.
Such an amazing and tranquil place to stay. If you’re wanting adventure on your door step that’s not walking, then this isn’t the place to go. Myself and my other half had a fantastic time and only went out to walk our two pups. The total switch off and no WiFi or signal was fantastic
Beautiful lodges with everything you need for a wonderful break. The jacuzzi was great in the evenings. The owners are lvely people. The farm is quite remote but ony a few miles drive to the delights of Wimborne and the beautiful countryside of Dorset is on your door step. Lovely fishing lakes. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be going back.
Such a lovely find. The accommodation was perfect with everything you could ever need. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked with all sorts of stuff. I wasnt aware before arriving there was a farm shop on site, has we known we wouldn't have bothered with the supermarket shop prior to arrival. Despite that we purchased a few bits and the meat was beautiful. Staff were super friendly and were even to take our son around the farm to show him the animals which he loved. Hot tub was a fabulous addition to the lodge, just wish the sun had been shining and that we could have stayed longer. Big fat recommendation from us!
We had a fantastic week away, the lodge was so tranquil and peaceful. We took the dog for walks everyday and many hours were spent in the hot tub enjoying the surroundings and family time together.
Lovely holiday. Would say car is essential. Dog very happy. Tub private.
We had a really lovely break at New Forest Lodges. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. The location is good - very scenic and rural, on a working farm with a small shop. However you need to be aware that there is nothing within easy walking distance. You can walk to the village of Cranborne but it takes at least 30 minutes and you need to go cross country as the main road is quite busy. It's an easy drive, though, and Verwood is also quite close by which has all amenities you would need - supermarket, takeaways, restaurants etc. The lodges are beautifully presented and spaced out well so that each one feels private. Pets are made very welcome.
You stay on a working farm with livestock, the family that own the lodges/farm are very helpful and can provide you with good places to visit in the area the lodge has sky TV and a book with a run down of local pubs and places to eat. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen and BBQ and would recommend trying the farm meat it is amazing quality far better the anything you will get from the supermarket and value for money.
Extremely well appointed lodge, including wood for the log burner. We were contacted beforehand that the lodge we had booked was 2 bedroomed, but our lodge we would be staying in would be 3 bedroomed. The lodge was due to be refurbished and this had not been carried out. We have stayed in lodges before in other areas and although they have been a little newer and smarter, we we really happy with the lodge and especially the hot tub. We loved the fact that the phone didn’t work and emails couldn’t be received. Loved the peace and quiet, and watching the birds on the feeders.
I love visiting here, this is our third trip! I love the home from home vibe and a hot tub under the stars is a real treat. The produce from the farm shop is such high quality and all of the team are so friendly.
Amazing to arrive to a freshly baked cake, and basic essentials to have a cup of tea etc.
