We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, its a bit of a mixed bag. The place itself is lovely and has a quirky charm, but some things are a bit odd. They provide an air fryer and one tray, but no oil or foil-stuff you'd expect to be included, but werent. We only got one and a half toilet rolls for four of us over the weekend, which was a bit tight. The hot tub was freezing on Friday night, so we couldnt use it and when we tried to call maintenance, no one answered. Luckily, it warmed up on Saturday, so we got to enjoy it then. Overall, a decent stay, but Im not rushing back anytime soon.

Lovely lodge, weirdly well equipped with some things but not with other things. Air fryer and one tray provided but no oil or foil provided to use the oven etc - not something we thought to bring. Only given 1 and half toilet rolls for the whole weekend for four people, not ideal. Hot tub on the Friday night was ice cold so unable to use, tried to call maintence number but no answer. Luckily had warmed up the Saturday afternoon so able to use. No one in reception to ask for more toilet roll and didnt feel warranted calling the maintenance number. Overall a nice stay but not sure Id rush back!

On first appearance the lodge needed a freshen up on the outside. The carpet is worn in the living area. The dining table and chairs could do with replacing as very shabby. The kitchen has new clean appliances but no instructions on how to use them. The bedrooms have a lack of sockets, the bed is very firm and uncomfortable. The en-suite had mould on the skirting boards and a little in the shower and on the screen. There was nowhere to hang wet towels in the bathroom. The hot tub was lovely but starting to go a bit rusty on the the bottom and was very strong with the chemicals, one of our party came out in a rash from this.

I would most likely not return to this location. We turned up on the Friday for a long weekend. The hot tub in lodge 10 was not warm and even with calling someone out twice it could not be sorted so we could not use it that night. We tried again the next morning but It was still not up to temperature, also found the dishwasher was broken and there was a stagnant smell coming from the onsuite bathroom. Called staff out again who had a look at all three things, they confirmed they would contact the boss/owner to find out what to do and then they left and we never heard anything else. The staff were very polite and lovely however the facilities were not up to standard and we could barely use the hot tub which was our main reason for going. Would not visit again unfortunately.

Overall, we had a pretty good stay. There were a couple of small issues-like the outside light not working and some dog hairs in the lounge and bedroom-but nothing major. Still, wed come back!

Worst holiday booked through Hoseasons. I would avoid at all cost! They cancelled our stay on the day we were scheduled to arrive with a pathetic excuse. Managed to find us another lodge, miraculously! Not up to standard of what we usually experience with Hoseasons. Avoid!

Overall, we found it to be quite good value for money. The furniture fittings could do with a bit of a refresh - mainly some painting and updating, rather than the actual use. The beds were comfy, though one in the single room was a little sunken, which was a bit odd. The dining chairs are starting to show their age with damaged leather, so they could do with replacing. We also appreciated having a washer/dryer on site. The TVs in the rooms were a tad small, but we didn't use them much. All in all, pretty decent stay!

Good value for money, furniture fittings do need updating but they are in regards to painting and updating rather than the use of the fittings. Everything was easy to use, beds were comfortable besides 1 bed in the single bed room was sunken a bit. Dining room chairs need replacing as the leather is damaged. Everything else good. I like that there was a washer/dryer as an option, Televisions in room could be a bit bigger, was not used.

We recently stayed at the lodge and honestly, it was quite a mixed bag. On the plus side, the place was warm, comfy and spotless when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, although we did notice a few items hadnt been washed properly, which was a bit of a letdown. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help us before and during our stay, which made things a lot easier. The hot tub was ready to go right when we arrived, which was a lovely bonus. The lodge itself had a few niggles-some bedside lights werent working, the showers leaked quite badly and the freezer looked like it was about to fall out from under the counter! Still, the bed was really comfy and we had a good sleep. We loved the fireplace too. On the second day, the hot tub had a minor issue but it was sorted quickly, so no big deal. The only downside was how close the lodges are-if youve got neighbours on both sides, privacy isnt great, especially with people fishing just beyond your balcony. Also, the 9am checkout felt a bit harsh, especially for a weekend stay; we had to set an alarm just to make sure we left on time. Still, despite those quirks, we had a lovely break and would definitely come back!

We had a lovely stay! The kitchen was well-equipped, with a dishwasher and air fryer which was handy. Just a heads up, dont forget your washing up liquid, cloths and cooking oil, as we did! Luckily, there are a few shops nearby if you need to pick anything up. The hot tub was fantastic after a long day and they provided robes and towels, which was a nice touch. We managed to check in early since the reception was closed when we arrived-really helpful staff. We also tried Toons Cafe and their breakfasts and homemade cakes are a must! Wed definitely consider coming back next year, especially if we can squeeze in a massage at the spa next time!

The kitchen facilities were great there is a dishwasher and air fryer but remember to take washing up liquid and cloth, cooking oil etc. if you forget anything theres a few local shops. Takeaways delivered to the gate. The hot tub was amazing, there were robes and towels provided. I was able to check in prior to arrival as the reception was closed by the time I was to get there the staff were friendly and helpful. Ive already recommended this place. Also check out Toons cafe it has the best breakfasts and hand make cakes. Theres also a spa which I forgot about otherwise I wouldve booked a massage. Maybe if I come back next year!

The lodge was really charming and the hot tub was definitely a highlight. Only downside was it didnt heat up on our first night, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the early check-out on the last morning made our stay feel a little rushed, even though we knew beforehand.

So, we had a decent stay overall, but there were quite a few annoying bits. First off, we were told to call when we arrived at 5pm to check in. Tried ringing two different numbers multiple times over about ten minutes and nobody picked up, so we couldnt even get into the property! Had to contact customer service, who were just as clueless as us. Luckily, they gave us the gate code and told us which cabin we were in. Later that day, they rang about a security deposit to be paid in the morning, but when we called back the next day, no one answered again. They finally got back in the evening, so we had to work around their timings. The guy was friendly enough and didnt see why we were paying a deposit late at night and leaving early next morning, but the woman was quite rude and unfriendly. The house itself was nice, but the hot tub wasnt hot enough for a proper soak the first night and the place could do with some TLC.
