We was on holiday with a 18 month old child and there was not much room for a travel cot. Some of the interior doors would not close as the latches were bent or did not line up with the catch.

Date of stay: 27th December 2014
The accommodation was generally to a very good standard and well equipped the only problem was that in December time you would expect the electric fire to be functional but did not even have a lead on it
Jennifer
Date of stay: 21st November 2014
The overall cabin was beautiful just enough space for two people , lovely warm electric fire and a comfy bed !
Rosemary, Bilston
Date of stay: 3rd November 2014
Lodge good except for the musty smell but reception and cafe never open and we went on a weekend +would be unsuitable for anyone without transport as the nearest shop was ten mins drive away
Elizabeth, Sheffield
Date of stay: 27th October 2014
The Finch Lodge was compact but great for a couple looking for a quiet weekend. The lodge swayed towards the basic side as they don't have a dishwasher and only a tea towel was left (no dish cloth or soap), but for the price that is to be expected and as long as you know you need to take those items if you are going to be cooking etc, then that's fine. There were plenty of crockery, cutlery & pans - however, I must say I struggled with only one oven tray.
The bedroom, although compact, has a wardrobe at both sides of the bed and even a dressing table has been fitted in.
For the price, the lodge was very good value for money and I will be staying again.

Keith, Ealing London
Date of stay: 29th September 2014
Great location, good comfortable accommodation, when we approached staff they dealt with our requests promptly. I am not sure if we were out of season but the shop was closed the whole time. There were fishing lakes that you could purchase a license for.
We were very lucky that our stay coincided with a wood craft fair in the grounds of a local castle - it was brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
We would stay there again. Many thanks to the staff.
Emma, Lincolnshire

Very nice interior to Woodpecker. The mugs in the kitchen were chipped and we had no choice but to put £20 on the meter (only used £10 and no refund) but no other negatives at all. Thanks.
James, Kent

This is a really unique opportunity to see the fantastic work going on at this centre.  The purpose of the British Wildlife Rescue Centre is to treat and care for injured wildlife which cannot be released into the wild.  Many of the animals are brought to the centre by members of the public or the RSPCA.  Visit their website to see the picture gallery and to find out how to help if this is something which interests you.  There are also regular fundraising events such as the Sponsered Leg Wax.
