We had a lovely stay! Sharon and Robert made us feel really at home, which was lovely. The place was spotless, comfy and perfect for Archies safety. The location was just right - loads of great walks nearby and Thaxted and the surrounding villages are charming. We definitely left feeling refreshed after a restful week. All in all, a really enjoyable break and wed happily come back again!

We had a fantastic weekend here! Everything we hoped for and more. The underfloor heating was a hit with our dogs, especially Luna, who was wagging her tail non-stop and even strained it! The garden was perfect for them to run around. Were already planning to come back soon. Truly a great stay for both us and the pups!

We had a cracking time at this lovely little cottage, tucked away on a working farm but still super private. Robert and Sharon are such lovely hosts and made us feel really welcome. The place is spacious and well-equipped, especially the kitchen and bathroom, which was a bonus. The bed was so comfy, we didnt want to leave! The garden is perfect for dogs, really secluded and furnished nicely. Plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some great restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. Wed definitely recommend it!

We had such a lovely stay here! The setting is truly beautiful and private, perfect for relaxing. The hosts were super friendly and always available if we needed anything, but you still get that nice sense of seclusion. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day cycling around. One thing to note, the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but didnt ruin our trip at all. Overall, a great find!

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage and honestly, we had a great time. The owners are super friendly but not clingy, which was perfect. The garden is big and fully fenced, so our dog was free to run around without worries. The cottage had everything we needed, including a nice hot tub that we loved. We even used the BBQ one evening. Definitely planning to come back and already told friends about it. Thanks for a lovely break!

We stayed at this place during a rainy December and honestly, its a gem. The house is super well equipped and kept us cosy all weekend. The bath is perfect for relaxing after a long day and the shower is really spacious. The location is ideal for dogs - no fireworks worries here. And despite being near a flight path, it was totally peaceful. Thanks a lot!

We spent a week here with our two little dachshunds and had such a lovely time. The village of Thaxted is charming and our dogs loved making new friends. The cottage itself is really cosy and the hot tub was a real treat-especially during the scorching weather, as it cooled the water making it super refreshing. The hosts were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. We also enjoyed watching the planes land from the nearby flight path-added a bit of excitement! Definitely a place wed come back to. Highly recommend!

We had such a lovely stay at this charming cottage. It really is a little gem-so well equipped, we barely needed to bring anything! The welcome pack was full of useful info and menus, which made things so easy. The owners, Sharon and Rob, were quick to respond if we had questions, which was appreciated. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was absolutely fantastic. Thanks for the thoughtful extras for us and our pups. It was a perfect relaxing getaway!

We stayed in two lodges and honestly, only one was decent. The other one (no.9) was in pretty poor shape and needed a lot of fixing up. The outside decking was rotten and a real health hazard. We reported the lack of hot water, but it never got fixed. The kitchen floor near the cooker was rotten, which was quite concerning. There was a disgusting towel on the floor that looked like it had been excrement and we also found a facemask behind one of the bedroom doors - lovely. One of the dining chairs was broken and couldve collapsed if someone sat on it. None of the blinds worked, so they stayed shut all the time and cobwebs were visible in every corner. Utensils were lacking too - no scissors or microwavable bowls. The small fridge/freezer in no.9 was barely big enough for 6 people. Outside, the wooden structures just needed a good clean - covered in cobwebs and dirt. If you get a new lodge, then its fine - but otherwise, not great!
