We had a lovely stay at Tima Lodge 2, surrounded by stunning views. The lodge itself is simple but comfortable-nothing luxury, but perfect for unwinding. The location is quite remote, so you really feel like you're escaping city stress. Overall, the lodges provide everything you need for a peaceful break and were definitely planning to return!

We had a lovely stay! The place is super cosy and peaceful and we loved that dogs are welcome. Sure, the decors a bit old-fashioned, but it didnt matter much. Definitely coming back!

The caravan was really nice and well kitted out. I especially appreciated the kitchens storage - plenty of space to stash all our food. Definitely a great stay!

We arrived at around 3:10pm after quite a drive, only to be told we were 50 minutes early for check-in. No friendly greeting or any chat about the journey, just that info. The lady showing us to the cabin was really nice though. The parks nestled right in the middle of Ettrick Valley, which we absolutely loved - such a remote spot, really peaceful. The cabin is a bit dated, but that didnt bother us at all; it was cosy and perfect for unwinding over the weekend. No wifi, but we had full 4G signal, so downloading stuff and browsing was no problem at all. The nearest shop and town, Selkirk, is about a 40-minute drive, which we knew beforeh and. Overall, the welcome couldve been warmer, but the location, the cabin, the price and the whole vibe made up for it. Wed definitely come back!

The cabin felt a bit tired and had a slight odour, but honestly, Ive stayed in much worse places. Not perfect, but okay for the price.

The lodge was genuinely lovely and felt quite spacious, which we really appreciated. The only tiny gripe was the settee - it was a bit worn out and the cushions looked well used. Still, it didnt bother us much since it was comfy enough. Overall, a great place to stay!

We stayed at the Tima log cabin recently and honestly, it was a lovely experience. The kitchen was a real highlight - really spacious, with a massive 7-foot fridge freezer and a good cooker, plus all the utensils you could need. The dining table was perfect for our group, seating six comfortably. The living space felt bright and modern and it was super cosy, especially with the central heating. The place was spotless and everything looked new or well-maintained. Bedrooms were comfy, with a nice king-size and two singles. We also loved the front balcony with a bench and the grassy area with a picnic table - perfect for relaxing outside!

What a lovely spot! The quiet atmosphere really helped me unwind and not having internet was actually quite refreshing. Plus, bringing my dog along free of charge was a real bonus. Can't wait to come back!

We had a really peaceful couple of nights in this lovely caravan. Perfect spot for walking, birdwatching and botanising. Very little noise from passing cars or other guests. Just a long trek to anywhere else, though!

Date of stay: 28th May 2019
We had a really chilled weekend here, just what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle. The park is so remote and peaceful, perfect for dogs to run around freely. The caravan had everything we needed for cooking and was quite comfy, though its pretty basic. Theres a small shop on-site that stocks the essentials, plus a few board games, books and DVDs to borrow which was a nice touch. One thing to note is that, even though the caravan sleeps up to 6, it was booked for just the two of us. Only the double bed was made up and no extra linen was provided for the other beds. Luckily, we brought some of our own, so it wasnt a big deal. Overall, a lovely quiet spot for a weekend and wed definitely go back if we want some downtime away from everything. Its simple but just what we needed.

We found the caravan really cosy and comfortable overall, but the foam in the sofas did get a bit flat after sitting for a while. Not a big deal!

Weve just come back from a few days at this place and honestly, it felt like our own little hideaway. If youre after all the modern tech and entertainment options, this isnt the spot for you, but if youre craving stunning scenery, peaceful walks and dark, starry nights, then its pretty much paradise. We stayed in a modern static caravan that was spotlessly clean, cosy and really comfortable. It had a nice gas fire to keep us warm on chilly evenings and blown air heating in the bedroom - perfect for those cold nights. Theyd even left us some tea, coffee and milk sachets, which was a lovely touch. Dogs are welcome and we saw quite a few on site, both in rented and owner caravans. We brought seat covers just in case, but its not a must - its more of a personal choice. The site is quite remote, though, nestled down single-lane roads with passing places, often used by large timber wagons. But honestly, everyone was courteous and as long as you drive sensibly, its not an issue at all. The scenic drives around the local towns are incredible, with breathtaking views and even some free-roaming sheep to keep an eye out for. We did get a bit unlucky when the road to the nearest town was closed and we had to take a longer diversion - but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise! We actually stumbled upon Alemoor Loch by ignoring the road closed signs (we know, a bit cheeky)and it turned out to be a fantastic spot for the dogs to run and swim - so peaceful and quiet. We visited Hawick, Selkirk and Moffat, all lovely places, though we didnt have time for any more. Were already planning to go back and explore more. The site wardens were really friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. Admittedly, some parts of the site looked a bit tired, with a few empty pitches and some old owner caravans around, but that didnt bother us since it was away from our caravan. All in all, Id genuinely recommend this place to anyone looking for a proper break from everything - just peace, nature and a bit of magic!

The furniture looked lovely, really pleased with it. Only issue was the pans - the non-stick coating was peeling off, so they definitely need replacing soon. Overall, happy!
