Really happy with the stay, the lodge was lovely and cosy.

The setting was beautiful, overlooking the golf course, which was lovely. The hot tub wasnt very private, which was a bit of a letdown and we felt some internal updates are needed-clean towels and fixing up fixtures would really boost the place. For what we paid, it should be 5-star, honestly.

We stayed in a Bowden pod recently and honestly, we were blown away by how roomy it was. The clever layout made excellent use of the space, making everything feel so comfortable and well thought out. It genuinely felt a bit luxurious, especially with the good quality crockery and glassware. The hot tub was a real highlight, super relaxing and the place was spotless and well looked after. They even checked the hot tub levels daily, which was a nice touch. When we reported a broken clothes horse, they brought a brand new one the very next day. They listen and act quickly, which we really appreciated. Were definitely coming back!

We really enjoyed the lodge, especially the lovely decor and the hot tub - that outside gate was a nice touch. The only thing was the mezzanine ceiling was quite low, so my son had to duck to get upstairs, which was a bit of a pain. The restaurant was fantastic too, with a gorgeous fillet steak and friendly staff, especially the two young girls who gave us some great ideas for things to do and places to visit. Wed definitely go back!

We had such a great week with the grandchildren! The lodge was spotless and really cosy, making it a perfect base. The hot tub was definitely a highlight-especially since we enjoyed it every night, even in the rain. The Taverner was a lovely spot to unwind and grab a bite. While the play park could use a bit of a refresh, the kids still loved it. We're already planning to come back next year and try the golf course!

Overall, we had a lovely holiday! The place was really nice and we enjoyed ourselves. However, we did run into a bit of an issue at the restaurant. There wasnt much for those with celiac disease because they use the same fryer for everything, leading to cross-contamination. Sadly, one of our group didnt get lunch because of it.

The lodge was fantastic, honestly. The bed was super comfy and the hot tub was just the icing on the cake. The kitchen had all we needed and the bathroom was lovely too. Would definitely stay again!

Date of stay: 1st November 2023
The lodge was lovely, really comfortable and well-equipped. The only downside is the location-it's quite remote. Also, the on-site pub doesnt allow dogs, so we had to drive 11 miles to Kelso, where dogs are welcome. Still, we enjoyed our stay overall!

We stayed in a spacious lodge that felt really cosy and had plenty of room to relax. The beds were super comfy, which made our nights really restful. When we realised we didnt have oven gloves, I asked at the shop and almost instantly, a friendly staff member knocked on our door with a pair. They explained that because of COVID, gloves arent kept in lodges, but you can always ask for some. We really appreciated how helpful and attentive the staff were-it made our stay even better!

The lodge was super cosy, but it got a bit warm, so we grabbed a fan. Still, we loved the place!

Date of stay: 17th August 2020
We enjoyed our stay, but the layout felt a bit odd. You could either trek all around the lodge to reach the hot tub or go through a bedroom, which was a bit strange. Adding decking around the lodge might make things more straightforward and nicer overall.

Date of stay: 27th July 2020
We had a lovely family break here. Its much more laid-back than busy holiday parks and everyone, from shop staff to cleaners, was super friendly. Great vibe!
Emma, Wolverhampton
Date of stay: 27th July 2020
We really enjoyed our stay overall. The lodge had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The only issues were the dishwasher, which didnt clean properly and the gap at the bottom of the bathroom door-bit awkward sharing with friends! Still, good trip.
Emma, Wakefield
Date of stay: 24th July 2020
We didnt dine in the restaurant since it was only takeaway, which was a bit of a letdown, but the food made up for it-really tasty! The lodge itself was spotless and the little welcome pack was a lovely touch. The biggest letdown was the outdoor seating-designed for six, but only three chairs available. They did try to fix it by bringing some plastic chairs, but the small coffee table made outdoor dining impossible. Still, overall, the lodge was fantastic value for money and wed definitely stay again.
