Great place for relaxing. Lovely peaceful spot. Great base to explore the area. The cottage had a steep staircase not ideal for little ones. Although a stair gate was provided

The cottage is in a beautiful peaceful area just a few minutes walk to the lake. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay. There was just a couple of things that could be improved and that is there is no clothes storage in the twin room so my kids had to leave everything in the suitcase at the foot of bed where in my view a wardrobe could be with a sliding door for access. Also the mattress on the main bed wasn't the best as it folded up around you whilst sleeping, but that could just be me as I am very particular about mattresses. I must make sure people know that even with the two things that could be improved the holiday was excellent it was just what we as a family needed. Definitely recommend to anyone you can drive to pembry country park, tenby beach, heatherton world of adventure and botanic gardens and as well as all this go on local walks and enjoy the beautiful nature of south wales.

This was our third stay this year in Ash Lodge and we will definitely be going back.
An ideal place to stay with dogs, kids and for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
The lodge has been updated with a new modern fire and heaters since February and it is definitely warmer than it has ever been before.
Lovely and clean and very cosy.

we have stayed here two years in a row and look forward to the next time we go back. It is a lovely place to stay, peaceful and relaxing and not too far away from the beautiful countryside or coast. The lodge is well kept and maintained to a very high standard, with the added bonus of a fishing lake on your doorstep. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Date of stay: 1st August 2015
We had a fantastic stay from 25/7/15-1/08/15. Owners were friendly and welcoming. The lodge itself is one of only a few accomodations on the site and the seclusion is lovely. It was brilliant not to have to shut the curtains or worry about being in a goldfish bowl like lots of others site - it was truly an incredibly peaceful place to be. The location is quite rural but it is fabulous for exploring Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire and we had lots of great days out at a few local castles, a country park and a theme park as well as a boat trip from New Quay - all less than an hour from the lodge. We did not want to leave.
Holt, France
Date of stay: 18th July 2015
A little humid and cold downstairs where the bedrooms are.

Location is for those who love countryside.
Lost in the middle of nowhere with access via narrow roads...

We enjoyed it

We had a great time in Cerrig Cottage. The area is beautiful, the people are friendly and the cottage was really lovely. Clean and comfortable and all the facilities we needed including a lovely log fire. We visited the National Botanic Gardens which were nearby and received a warm welcome. Lovely walks around the area including the fishing lake on site. The owners were very friendly. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Date of stay: 23rd September 2014
There were no clear instructions how to get the key which I've read on another review
We stopped at a property that had a sign for Garnffwd Park and a girl at the stables directed us to a house
I knocked at the house and got no answer so tried the next house
This turned out to be the owners parents house
She went of to look for her daughter in law who was apparently in the garden so couldnt hear the bell
There needs to be a better system in place like a key safe or something
Date of stay: 23rd August 2014
Everything we needed.
Guido, Waddinxveen, Holland
Date of stay: 23rd August 2014
There were some mice walking around in the lodge, but we are not afraid of these little creatures.
Of course there is trout fishery at Garnffrwd, but during the evening twilight there are hundreds of bats flying at the lake side. Really Amazing!

Very well maintained :-)
Date of stay: 31st May 2014
The lodge has the most lovely pine chunky table & chairs overlooking the lake. Open kitchen area (bonus) has everything you need & microwave. Ample worktop space.
Sofa & two chairs was good combination for us & didn't feel cramped, just right.
We felt lovely & warm, the whole time we were there.
Two single beds in one bedroom, double bedroom with ample storage.
Bathroom is quite new. The only thing for me personally was the shower cubicle, I've had joint replacement and found nothing to grab getting in and out of the shower. But having said that, it is a note for similar people.
The lodge was enough size for all the family & 2 dogs.
Very touched by the token of welsh cakes left for us when we arrived.
Owner popped his head in as we were leaving, nice chap.
The accommodation was smashing.
Michael, Wolverhampton

We have been visiting for 25 years, great fishing, lovely accomodation and peace! Great for the fishermen to have an onsite cafe.
Lovely break enjoyed by the whole family. Comfortable and clean. Great spot. Good fishing.
Beautiful cottage in quiet location.
Nice place to relax from daily routine
Great Christmas away with the family. Would definitely go again.
We absolutely love our holiday at ash lodge lovely wildlife to watch and really peaceful away from it all can't wait for next year we've all ready booked again
Lovely time away. Cottage had everything we needed and more. On arrival we found that there was no cot bed as requested yet as soon as we mentioned it to the owner he brought a cot bed, high chair and stair gate and installed them all in no time. Very friendly and helpful.
Perfect and peaceful
