A beautiful well equipped, well maintained and clean lodge. Home from home with everything you could possibly need. Set in rural picturesque countryside away from it all down a single track road which was never a problem. Hot tub was perfect and kept spotless. Comfortable sofas and beds. Everything top quality with added touches such as soap, washing up stuff, dishwasher tablets, tin foil etc. so handy. Loved the Alpacas in the neighbouring field and we had a couple of sheep that were regular visitors. Absolute bliss staying here and worth every penny.

We really enjoyed our stay at the retreat cabin. Its absolutely beautiful! The only thing wed suggest is adding a softer light inside the main room. Leaving the curtains open was lovely, as we could soak in the peaceful surroundings. Lovely place!

The retreat cabin is stunning.Could do with a soft light in the main room, put the outside lights on and left the curtains open, could see all the lovely quite, peaceful location which was a bonus leaving open the curtains.

Honestly, weve stayed in a few lodges here before, but Amour Deluxe really outshines the rest. Its super private, with a lovely hot tub right outside the bedroom French doors - perfect for unwinding. The private deck is peaceful, just the gentle sound of a stream passing by, which makes for a great chill-out spot. The wildlife is quite entertaining too - from badgers late at night to squirrels and even a couple of Jays dropping by. The lodge itself is cosy and warm, with some nice touches and that massive sofa is just what you need after a long day. The local pub, The George and Dragon, is a short walk away and there are plenty of lovely walks on your doorstep. Well definitely be returning!

The lodge is at the end of a narrow lane with hardly any passing points. Its not lit and its not great driving down it at night. Our lodge was cold when we got there, the heating wasnt working and the owner took over 2 hours to come out and reset the boiler meanwhile we had to try and keep warm. The hot tub wasnt very hot and we were told that it was set to a maximum temperature. The hot water for the bath was only warm and not hot enough to have a bath. The lodge was very dated and in need of a refurb. The plastic on the cupboards in the kitchen was peeling off all over leaving very sharp edges. The floor boards creaked very loudly and the doors also creaked very loudly and this disturbed us quite a lot. The outside lighting isnt very bright and theres only 1 very dim light near the hot tub making it rather difficult to see if using the hot tub when its dark. On a plus the bedding and towels were to a good standard and were nice and clean.

We recently stayed at the Amour 1 Lodge and honestly, it had its ups and downs. Inside, it was quite nice - the kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans and utensils, which made cooking easy. The living area was comfy enough for relaxing after a day out. The bathroom in the bedroom was a bit tight, though, with nowhere to put your toothbrush or toiletries, which was a bit annoying. The hot tub was okay; it was at the right temperature when we arrived, but most of the jets didnt work, so it felt more like a warm bath outside. We only used it twice in the week. The bed was a real letdown - it was an old, rickety wooden frame with a super soft mattress that sank in the middle. It creaked constantly, so we kept waking each other up turning over or getting up. On the plus side, the place was generally clean, though there were quite a few cobwebs hanging from the beams and light fittings over the bed. We did have a day without heating or hot water due to a storm, but the staff responded quickly and even brought electric radiators, which was a nice touch. All in all, not bad, but could definitely be better!

Stayed in the Amour 1 Lodge. Was really nice inside, good kitchen and living room. Kitchen had a good stock of pots and pans and utensils which was helpful. Bathroom in bedroom was ok but a little on the small side. Nowhere to put your toothbrush etc. Hot tub was ok. Was at temperature when we arrived, however most of the jets didnt work so felt like you were sitting in a warm bath outside. Only used twice in the whole week. Bed was awful! Rickety old wooden bed with a very soft mattress that sunk in the middle. Woke each other up in the night turning over or getting up to use the loo cause of the creaking! Place was generally clean, however quite a lot of cobwebs hanging from the beams and light fittings over the bed. Did have a slight problem one of the days where we had no heating or hot water, due to a bad storm the previous evening, but the staff were quick to sort and even bought over some electric radiators which was a very nice touch.

The decor was quite lovely and the sofa super comfy, which we loved. The TV in the bedroom was a bit frustrating though-only worked with radio, no controller! Still, clean and cozy overall.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lodge! The outdoor space was lovely and the copper bath was a real treat. It stayed hot enough, though it didnt last as long as wed hoped. Still, very comfy place overall.

This Coombes View lodge was dated in several ways. The setties were worn out, the heating was switched of and had to be turned on by staff and later had to be restarted. The hot tub is controled daily but also a bit tired (lights not working). The remote to the entrance gate did not work and no replacement was avaible. Staff was very helpful and reaponded quickly. But the lodge really deserves a thorough upgrade.

The Lodge exceeded our expectation - we stayed in Coombes View 1 and were absolutely delighted with our accommodation. Set in picturesque countryside with breathtaking views, each lodge is situated well away from the others offering privacy and tranquility. Inside the lodge was beautiful, well equipped and immaculately clean. The hot tub was maintained daily and was up to temperature by the time we had unpacked. We had the added bonus of the company of 3 Alpacas who came to the fence at the side of our lodge daily. Another highlight was helping owner Mark herd 4 of his sheep, who had escaped their field and decided to pay us a visit. We spotted a deer from our kitchen window on our last day! This place is a hidden gem, was such a relaxing break and a complete change from the normal busy pace of every day life. If youre looking for a get away from it all break this is the place and we cannot recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be returning.

Honestly, our stay at The Lodge was just what we needed. We stayed in Coombes View 1 and from the moment we arrived, it felt special. The location is stunning, nestled in lovely countryside with views that just take your breath away. Each lodge feels private, so you get that real sense of peace and quiet - perfect for unwinding. Inside, it was beautifully decorated, super clean and had everything we could possibly need. The hot tub was a real treat, always ready after a quick check in the mornings. We had some adorable visitors too - three alpacas came to say hello at the fence, which was such a lovely surprise. We even got to watch Mark herd some sheep that had escaped and paid us a visit! On our last day, we spotted a deer from the kitchen window - a perfect end to our trip. Honestly, this place is a good place, great for switching off and relaxing away from the hustle. Well definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our time at the cottage in the Peak District! The scenery was breathtaking and the place itself was really charming with lovely decor and comfy furniture. The hot tub was a real highlight after long walks. The kitchen had everything we needed and the dressing room was such a bonus. Oh and the master bed was super comfy! Thanks for a fantastic stay, well be back for sure!

Excellent stay, just a few minor things that could elevate it. Mirror in single bed bedroom, dishwasher wasn’t working after being told it was fixed, a few wasps flying around. Otherwise the stay was brilliant and we really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you ?
Frances
A very nice and clean lodge that was good value for money. Hot tub was also clean and well kept. The only slight issue was no access to WiFi (couldn't find or connect) but was a minor flaw when everything else was really good. Would return happily.
Christopher
Been here several times before so that should say something of my opinion of site , ( first time in old barn though ). Ideal spot to get away from it all for a few days , but plenty on door step if required ( Buxton , Manchester).
Michelle
All round excellent, my only complaint is that there was no where to sit to dry your hair and make up as there’s no dressing tables or mirrors, apart from that excellent.
Debbie
Beautiful lodge with fantastic amenities located in an idyllic spot, would definitely book again, in fact I have booked for next year already.
Claire

Just a bit annoyed that when booking I was told a 10.00 am checkout, only on arrival to be told it was now a 9.00 am checkout. Rushed morning!
