Lovely quiet holiday park, great location right next to reservoir, which is approximately 3 mile walk around. We stayed for four night, really friendly and helpful staff. Hot tub is great to sit and relax on a night. Would definitely book again.

Lovely pod with fantastic facilities and really good heating. the surrounding area is fantastic the walk around Dovestones is accessible for all and a great way to get the kids to sleep. We had a trip to Diggle and completed the Halloween scarecrow trail which was fantastic.

We were really impressed with the high standard here. It was great value for money. The cabin on arrival was immaculate, with everything we could need for our stay. The cleaning team do a fantastic job. I was also particularly impressed by the two men who maintained the hot tub. They came early every morning which meant it didn't interrupt our stay. The water was crystal clean every day, the men did an absolutely fantastic job and were very experienced. The hot tub itself was a lovely warm temperature while still in the safe limit, which actually relaxed us unlike other cabins that keep it on the lower end. We loved how cosy the cabin was with the little fire; on an evening after going in the hot tub, or sitting on the spacious, comfortable outdoor decking, this was a welcomed addition. The staff were very accommodating and relaxed. The location is really convenient for getting into Manchester/Liverpool or for picturesque walks in amongst the hills, with beautiful views. There are also lovely takeaways which can be delivered right to your cabin. These are conveniently listed in the welcome pack. I recommend the pizzeria. We highly recommend this holiday park and will undoubtedly be back again.

The furniture in the living room (front hall) is very uncomfortable. The mattresses are sagging and the cutlery was not clean. The toilet in the ensuite was leaking (water coming out). For the rate charged, it was disappointing.

As I paid over £650 for 3 days I would have expected, outdoor furniture to not be falling apart and not to find drinks caps under cushions etc. Again, this would have to be the only bad point that I can mention.

Spent the weekend at Dovestone lodges last week and had the perfect break. Lodge and hot tub 5 and just perfect after a walk around the reservoir. Pods very basic but also perfect if you take your own bedding and pots/pans. We hadnt seen the pots and pans bit on the website so bit stuck as couldnt even make a cup of tea. Hence we upgraded. Staff amazing and so helpful, we would definitely recommend and hopefully return in the very near future. Thank you for the lovely welcome you gave us!

Date of stay: 3rd November 2019
Everything was lovely, however we went on a very wet weekend in November so decking was very slippy and extremely dangerous, 2 guests actually fell one really hurt her back and twisted her knee. Maybe that needs to be looked at being replaced. Other than that everything was fantastic, will definitely be booking again

2nd time we've been in October, would like to try in summer so we can make more use of hot tub and patio area.
Louise
This was my 3rd time staying here (twice in a pod) and I love it. The pods are great- we've been glamping to other places and I'm not keen on having to use communal bathrooms and kitchens so having your own is amazing. As for the location, it's perfect. Walk one way and you're on the reservoir, the other way and you are at the pub. Will definitely be back!
Roger
Excellent weekend retreat. The pods were cosy and warm. Very peaceful, time to think in very nice surroundings
Rosie
Great customer service from start to end, I had made an error in booking and the staff at Dovestone rectified this for me with no charge and were very helpful, the lady on reception was fantastic and was very helpful. The park provide you with a book of things nearby which is great and there are security staff on site which are friendly and great with our barky dog! Fantastic service and lovely place, shower was fantastic and pod was clean and tidy and just what was needed. Would definitely recommend!
Flora
The place was so serene and idyllic. Great views and the weather was just perfect!
Hannah
We had a lovely stay at dovestone over the bank holiday weekend. The view of the little lake when we opened the door of our pod on a sunny morning was just fab. My two boys enjoyed feeding the ducks and had space to play ball games with other children on the site. The reservoir was great to walk around and the views from the mountain were just gorgeous. There are plenty of walks around. The only addition to the site would be a little play area for the children (swings etc). Other than that we loved it.
Lian
Lovely location, had an relaxing weekend. Will book again.
Beverley
Wonderful four night break at this cosy retreat. Comfortable, well equipped cabin with a great hot tub. Within walking distance of beautiful scenery and walks and a good pub down the road. Great customer care with friendly helpful staff .
Julie
A lovely quiet site next to some beautiful countryside and reservoir walks I cannot believe this site isn’t fully booked !
Michelle
Would definitely book again, absolutely loved it.
Suzanne
Awesome short break - fabulous location with many walks straight from the door. Lovely village within walking distance with a great pub (The Clarence) and a massive Tescos. Lodge had everything we needed and the hot tub was most welcome.
Neil
Lovely, helpful staff and great setting for a relaxing time. Nice and quiet and security at night to stop noise pollution and selfish people spoiling it for others. Would recommend and we will be revisiting.
AnneMarie
A perfect place to enjoy some chill time. Great lodge with hot tub, close to lovely walks. Even when raining it looked beautiful. Staff were super helpful.
