Lovely spacious & comfortable lodge, setting is peaceful and relaxing surrounded by trees.Very comfortable stay and would highly recommend, brilliant value for money, we will be booking to stay again. Lodge 1 ???? Only a couple of things for the owners for possible improvements:- More crockery would be helpful.- Use sticky stuff remover for where I assume rugs used to be.- External area: remove cobwebs specifically from windows and power washing the decking would make a huge difference to the aesthetic.- A good scrub of the hot tub.None of the above affected our stay negatively but some simple things which could make a positive difference.

The lodge itself was perfect, very well kept and clean. Plenty of space for the 4 of us, and lovely views over the small lake/pond! The only thing I was worried about was the £250 security deposit being transferred over, so I made sure to do a video when we arrived and how we left it too. But to be honest didnt need that and the deposit was returned with no quibbles a few days after our departure.

Although I will bring up a few negatives we loved our stay at Luxury Lodge 1!As other reviews said the postcode in sat nav does not take you to the correct location so you are better to type in Ladera Lodges.Self check in where we were provided the information need to gain access which was great for us and proved be very easy.We knew what to expect after reading other reviews so no surprises, this would have been Luxury at one point and it would not take much inside to bring it back up to a high standard, some of the soft furnishings do need replaced, a couple of rugs and cushions is all that would be needed, the rugs were curling and could be a trip hazard. Outside is a bit trickier as you are fighting nature but the glass could do with a clean and the wood could be painted, some of the deck is rotting and actually very slippy as it has not been treated with non slip paint or even power washed, it looks like nothing like that has been done in years.I know cleaners dont get allocated much time but a deeper clean in showers needed, I myself bleached inside cubicle for ten minutes and the build up showered away so why cant the cleaner do this first before doing anything else then go back to rinse also wipe the skirting boards and hoovering the cobwebs from velux windows?A sweeping brush for inside (we couldnt get the vacuum to work) and outside should be available for use should guests feel the need and a net for scooping out leaves etc from hot tub.For the prices paid for a weeks stay I dont see how keeping on top off deep cleaning and deteriorating items cannot be achieved. The park was lovely and Luxury Lodge number 1 for us was in the best location for peace and privacy.

We recently stayed at Ladera House and honestly, it felt like a home away from home. The place is spacious, cosy and just really comfortable. Sharon greeted us warmly when we arrived and showed us around - shes lovely. The views are stunning, with horses and sheep grazing just behind the house, which added to the peaceful vibe. We slept really well and the bedrooms are super nice. We did have a small issue with the plumbing, but once we mentioned it, the manager was quick to apologise and promised to get it sorted. Wed definitely come back!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage! Its tucked away on a working farm, so it feels really private, yet its easy to get around. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely and welcoming. The place is super spacious, with well-equipped kitchen and bathroom and the bed was incredibly comfy. The garden was perfect for our dog-completely enclosed and with nice furniture. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants, like The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!

We stayed at this place recently and honestly, it was pretty lovely overall. The view from the cabin was stunning and the hot tub was definitely a highlight - really relaxing after a long day. The place had a cosy charm that suited us perfectly. However, a few things did bug us a bit. The toiletries werent the luxury ones advertised, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the Wi-Fi promised was nowhere to be found, so we had to go without internet during our stay. The dishwasher was a bit of a pain - the wood panel kept popping off, which got annoying. The freezer drawers were a struggle to open, probably due to needing a defrost. We also noticed some dirt on the dressing gowns and holes in the bedding stitching, which wasnt ideal. Plus, there was a jigsaw blade left outside, which couldve been dangerous. Still, we had a good time despite these little issues!

We had a fantastic weekend here! Everything we hoped for and more. The garden was perfect for our dogs and they especially loved the underfloor heating - Luna couldnt stop wagging her tail! Honestly, she came home with a strained tail, but its just proof how much fun she had. Were already planning our next visit!

We stayed at this charming cottage recently and honestly, it has everything you could possibly need. We didnt have to pack much because the place is so well equipped - I even overloaded the car! The welcome pack was a lovely touch, with handy info about the cottage and local menus. The hosts, Sharon and Rob, are super responsive if you have any questions. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just perfect for unwinding. Thanks for a lovely getaway, well definitely be back!
