We frequently book with Hoeseasons due to the reputable name you have, but I do feel sometime private listings aren't vetted enough. Positive for this holiday: Excellent location The lake was amazing and the park was well kept The size of the lodge was ampleHot tub was a good size Lovely decking area and furniture was suitable Keyless system making check in easy kitchen was well equippedNegatives: The smaller double bedrooms ensuite absolutely stunk of urine, it was pungent and kept us up in the night. They obviously know about it as it was the only room which had the window open when we arrived, the fan extractor on and two reed diffusers to shift the smell. It was disgusting! No hooks anywhere to hang coats, towels or clothes. Dishwasher didn't wash very wellI know you'll say why didn't you let us know when you were there. We were there to celebrate my in-laws wedding anniversary and I didn't want to ruin their weekend by making a fuss and moaning and you wouldn't have been able to fix the smell whilst we were there anyway. We actually decided to leave after two night as we couldn't face sleeping there for the 3rd night. I'm letting you know so you can address the issue for further guests.

Beds were quite basic. As an adult the single beds are not sufficient. Everything else was great.

The lodge was lovely. The lake and grounds were beautiful. The cleaning if lodge was good could have been a tiny bit better but nothing major. It was a bit spider and wasp crazy but understand of this due to weather and area. We had a great time celebrating two family members big birthdays. Would definitely return. One of the mattresses were a little uncomfortable but everyone else's was great.

Beautiful place to stay, however there were numerous issues with communication on site. The hot tub did not work for the majority of our stay and we were unable to get in touch with staff to fix this despite information that the reception was open. There was no answer to emails, phone calls and no one in reception. When eventually getting hold of someone and then popping out, we were informed that the hot tub was broken and would remain so for the rest of our break. On the day of departure, the manager have nothing to say about our experience and was rude and dismissive. However, a member of staff who came out to look at the hot tub was fantastic and apologetic. I could not fault her approach, therefore it is a shame that this was not the same as the managers.Such a shame it is a lovely location but our experience leaves us to have no faith that any problems will be resolved appropriately.

The lodge was nice and clean, with a welcome pack of cleaning and refreshment essentials. There were plenty of personal touches everywhere. We did have a few issues, like the main shower door not closing, a damp patch in the main wardrobe, we also needed the induction hob changing half way through the week, which the maintenance team were very good at arranging.

The lodge was hugely mis-undersold online as it didnt mention 2 en-suite bathrooms, decking area or parking in the description and only had 3 stock photos but having used Hoseasons several times before we gambled that it would be a great standard and were not disappointed at all. Well stocked kitchen and great size bedrooms and bathrooms.Hot tub was a wonderful addition. The only issue we had and would recommend improvement to was the lack of safe outdoor space for children around the lodge as the shrubbery around the patio area is not established so does nothing to contain toddlers away from the water adjacent. As the patio was not fenced either we had to keep the patio doors closed at all times which was a shame and made the lodge very hot. The decking on the other side was enclosed which gave an alternative and we utilised as much as possible but it got very hot in the sun.Overall a wonderful stay for 4 generations under one roof.

The lodge was spotless, spacious and well appointed. Well stocked on the whole but could do with a few more plates/glasses etc in the kitchen. A couple of larger pans would be good too. Beds/bedding comfy and clean.

Our lodge was clean but had lots of cobwebs especially outside. 3 good sized bedrooms, a bathroom and en-suite from the main bedroom. Very spacious open plan lounge and kitchen.

We had such a lovely stay at the lodge! The peaceful setting really made it special and we loved how much attention to detail there was - the hot tub was massive and the kitchen had everything we needed. Having TVs in every room was a bonus and the row boat was a fun touch. Only thing we missed were some robes or towels just for the hot tub. Definitely coming back!

Delamere is in a lovely setting and the forest nearby is great for a visit. The lodge itself was nice and really spacious for a large group. The decking and hot tub were a great addition. It has a great potential but was let down in lots of ways.It just lacked TLC, the bath towels were stained and there were quite a few cobwebs and dead flies - such as in the lampshades. There was a nappy in the bin. The kitchen really lacked equipment and is really not designed for cooking. No baking trays, no grill plan, no potato peeler, no whisk. A really poor frying pan. No sieve. So even just warming up pizza and sides was tricky. There was no hand soap, no spare toilet rolls- just some basics that make it a little easier. No mirrors or bedside lamps or lighting. A curtain missing in the living room. Some TLC and a couple of additions would make this a great location

Lovely cabin, it was clean and well looked after. Cabin was well equipped however two toilet rolls for 6 people wasnt enough, there was cleaning products which makes it easier to keep ontop of too. The oven was ridiculously slow and took over an hour to cook chips, I would recommend taking your own air fryer! There isnt much to do on the actual holiday park, a childrens play park would have been perfect. However it isnt too far to get to the water activities or delemere forest.

Our lodge was beautiful and spotless. We stayed in lodge number 8. Everything you need, plenty of towels, . We forgot to take milk and luckily they had provided sachets of milk and tea, coffee and sugar which were a nice touch, hot tub was lovely and clean nice and hot too. Staff were friendly and helpful we payed extra £30 for later check out while we was there. There is everything you need in the kitchen to cook family meals. We cant wait to come back and would definitely stay in the lodge again.

What a beautiful holiday park! We stayed in lodge 19 right on the lake. The lodge itself was so big and pretty much had everything you needed, fridge freezer, washer/dryer etc. only downfall I would say is the utensils could do with replacing and there was a lot of cobwebs high up. We were blessed with beautiful weather which is always a pluss. Beds were comfortable.Cheshire oaks is about 20 min drive and Chester zoo around the same. There is plenty to do. I will definitely be staying again!

We spent a week at this lodge in early November and honestly, it was much better than wed hoped. Everything we needed for self-catering was there, which made things really easy. The location is spot on-just about 25 minutes from Chester, the designer outlet and Chester Zoo. We also made a quick trip to Hollys Farm Shop for breakfast goodies and fresh croissants, which was lovely. If youre into outdoor activities, theres plenty of walking nearby, so its a great spot for that. The only thing to note is that on the far side of the lake, theres some building work going on, but honestly, the noise didnt bother us at all. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage! It really is a little gem - everything you could possibly need is there, so we didnt have to bring much at all. The owners, Sharon and Rob, are super quick to reply if you have questions, which was great. The welcome pack was full of useful info and menus, which we appreciated. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just perfect for relaxing after a long day. Thanks for a wonderful break - well definitely be back!

We stayed here with friends and woke up early to catch the sunrise at the misty lake - honestly, it was breathtaking! The location is so peaceful, perfect for unwinding. We took the dog for walks around the area, which he loved. The lodge had everything we needed: a hot tub, two double-headed showers and a nice bath. Although we didnt bring children, we noticed high chairs were available if needed. The kitchen was well equipped - dishwasher, easy-to-use oven and microwave - and there were thoughtful extras like sponges and washing up liquid in a cute little gift box, plus a handy guide to local attractions and facilities. The TV had Netflix, BBC iPlayer and standard channels, all straightforward to navigate. The place was spotless, towels were provided, but we brought our own just in case. Were already planning to come back soon - cant wait!

We stayed at Delamere Lake Holiday Park with the whole family, including our little dog, from 9th to 13th March 2020. The cabins were stunning-bright, spacious and spotless. The beds were super comfy, so we had no trouble relaxing. The hot tub was already warm when we arrived, which was just perfect. Plus, parking for two cars was a big plus. Honestly, we had a fantastic time and cant wait to return!
