We had a three bedroom caravan, with the most uncomfortable beds ever. The caravan was sort of clean but was also in urgent need of a deep clean. The cooker was encrusted with grime that looked like it had been there for months and months. The carpet was filthy and because there is no hoover supplied by the time we left after 5 nights it was in desperate need of a good clean. Our party had a 12 month baby who is crawling and it wasnt a nice environment for a baby to be crawling about in. On arrival there was no towels or toilet rolls supplied, no basic amenities! Would we stay again? Probably not! We all picked a sickness bug whilst there so decided to call it a day after 5 nights as we all felt so ill from lack of sleep on awful beds and the cleanliness.

I would not recommend this place at all, we stayed in the Denham Chalet and the images online were no where near what it looked like in person, the floor was so dirty it left your socks black, the window in the bedroom did not close properly meaning there was a constant breeze the whole time, the sofa was covered in stains and the bed part of it was not suitable for anyone to sleep on, there was no bedding provided for the sofa bed and I had to request this from reception upon arrival, there was no curtains covering the front door meaning that everyone was able to see in and the light from outside was left on all night making it hard to sleep in the living room, you was never able to book to use the pool and had to stand outside in line to get a turn, this meant that often we had to find a pool elsewhere. For the price paid it was not worth it at all, the holiday park is in the middle of no where meaning if you want to do other things you had to drive 30-40 minutes, I would not recommend wasting your money on this place as they will just say it only cost x amount what do you expect, Despite the cost there should be basic things provided I.e bedding and the accommodation should be clean when you arrive and you should be able to book onto the activities fairly so that everyone gets a chance to use them, we was unable to use the pool at all during our stay, and we stayed for 3 nights. I have tried to make a complaint about this as it was not at all what we expected, I was told by a staff member that it only cost you £400 what do you expect, this is complete unacceptable and they did not try to resolve the issues what so ever. I will be leaving this feedback on all other platforms as I think it is important for other guests to see.

We spent a week here in July with our two tiny dachshunds and they absolutely loved it! Making friends with other dogs in the village of Thaxted was a highlight for them. The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was a real treat-especially during the scorching weather, as it cooled the water and made it super refreshing. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming and it was lovely to see their horses being taken out to the fields daily. Being close to Stansted's flight path was interesting; we enjoyed watching the planes land. Definitely a place wed recommend!

We stayed at this cosy little cottage and honestly, it had everything we could possibly need - we didnt have to bring a thing! The owners, Sharon and Rob, are really quick to reply if you have questions. The welcome pack was super helpful, packed with info about the place and nearby menus, which was a nice touch. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was the cherry on top. Thanks for a lovely getaway - well definitely be back!

We had such a lovely stay at this cottage. The owners are genuinely lovely and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The place itself is adorable-really charming with its half-timbered style-and the shower was surprisingly powerful, which was a nice surprise! The cosy kitchen and living space made it feel like home and the bed was super comfy. Parking right next to the cottage was a massive plus and it was spotlessly clean. Perfect base for exploring Thaxted and the surrounding fields, with easy access to the village and windmill. Wed definitely come back!
