We just got back from a really relaxing four-night stay at this cottage. The hosts were super friendly but not at all intrusive-always there if you needed anything. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we could think of, including a great BBQ one evening. The hot tub was definitely a highlight! Were already planning to come back and have told our friends all about it. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had a lovely stay! Sharon and Robert really made us feel at home, which was much appreciated. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for Archie with good security. The location was just right, with so many scenic walks nearby and charming villages like Thaxted to explore. We definitely left feeling refreshed and relaxed - it was just what we needed. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Huge shoutout to Gabrille for the fantastic job on cleaning our place before we got there. The house was spotless and we felt really comfortable staying in it. The only thing that bugged us was the tiny bedrooms layout - the beds are narrow and the wardrobes position is a bit risky, I actually bumped my head on it! Luckily, its not the owners fault, just poor design from the manufacturer. Still, overall, really happy with everything!

We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage. The owners are genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help us, which made all the difference. The place itself is spotlessly clean, warm and really cosy - perfect for relaxing after exploring the surrounding fields and nearby Thaxted. Parking right next to the property was a real bonus and the shower is surprisingly powerful! Definitely a great spot for a peaceful getaway.

We recently spent a few days at Marlie Holiday Park and honestly, wed happily go back. The place itself is really charming and perfect for a family break. However, there are a couple of things that could definitely do with some improvement. First up, parking is a bit of a nightmare. Its quite chaotic with cars parked all over Romney Hollow and some families seem to bring multiple vehicles - sometimes up to four or more! Its not just inconvenient, its downright dangerous for the kids on their scooters, especially with all the puddles and cars lining both sides of the road. A proper system with designated spots, maybe with stickers showing caravan numbers, would make a huge difference. The overflow car parks near the shops or clubhouse should be used for extra cars, rather than everyone cramming into the main road. On the last day, dragging luggage through the crowds and navigating double parked cars was a pain. The caravans are quite close together on Romney Hollow, with three rows on each side sharing a single road. That meant a lot of noise late into the night with people walking past, which isnt ideal when youve got little ones trying to sleep. Still, were thinking about booking one of the platinum lodges next time - maybe on a quieter back road - as the park is small and everything is within easy walking distance, which we liked a lot. The amenities were generally good. The pool was a real highlight - booking was straightforward and they limit bookings to one swim at a time, which keeps it fair for everyone. It was very clean and the inflatables were reasonably priced. The baby pool was perfect for our little ones; it was warm and the shallow depth meant they could splash about safely without us worrying too much. The clubhouse was modern and comfy, with a pizza oven, arcade and pool table. The food was pretty standard - similar to what you'd find at a Harvester - nothing special but decent enough. Unfortunately, breakfast on our last day was a bit of a let-down; it took ages to arrive and when it did, the eggs and bacon looked a bit undercooked and some of the food seemed a bit battered looking. By the time it finally arrived, we didnt have time to send it back, which was a shame.Entertainment-wise, the kids loved the nightly discos and meet-and-greets with the mascots. There was plenty for the adults too - bingo, live singers and magic shows during the day. The arts & crafts cabin was a real hit with the kids; they did sand art, pottery painting and even bear making - all very reasonably priced and perfect for a rainy day or just something to do on-site. The inflatable fun park on the last day was a big hit too! Our caravan was a Gold and it was lovely - very modern, spotlessly clean and well-equipped with everything we needed: microwave, cooker, cutlery, you name it. The only downside was the location; its a bit close to other caravans, which meant a bit of noise at times. Still, for the price and comfort, it was great. Plus, Dymchurch Beach is just a short drive away - less than ten minutes - and its a gorgeous sandy spot with lots of amenities and easy parking. All in all, we had a lovely weekend at Marlie. A few improvements, especially around parking and food service, would make it even better, but we definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for families looking for a fun, relaxed break!

We had Tina cleaning our place and she was genuinely lovely, did a really good job. The guy who checked the smoke alarms was friendly too. Itd be great if there were some side lights in the lounge and bedrooms for the evenings, though. Also, the TV remote needs replacing and theres a flood near the front door thatll need fixing. Overall, not bad!

We had such a lovely stay at this cottage! The place is really well looked after and has everything you could need. Our dogs loved the nearby walks and it was great meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the curious pig. The host was super friendly and quick to reply.
