It was pretty standard, but honestly, the weather was lovely so we didnt hang around much. The hot tub was a real plus! No outdoor seating, so we grabbed a couple of chairs from a nearby supermarket - they worked fine, no fuss at all.

We stayed at this place during a rainy December and honestly, the house was spot on! Its really well kitted out and super cosy, which was just what we needed. The bath was lovely and the shower was a decent size. The location is perfect if your dogs hate fireworks - total peace and quiet. And despite the plane noise, it didnt bother us at all. Thanks a lot!

We had an amazing stay at this lovely cottage! The owners are genuinely warm and helpful, making us feel right at home. The place is super cosy, with a charming half-timbered style that really adds character. The shower was powerful and the bed was so comfy we didnt want to get up! Parking right next to the cottage is a real bonus and its spotlessly clean. Perfect spot for scenic walks to Thaxted and exploring nearby villages. Well definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ballard Pod 4. The space was perfect for four of us and the hot tub was a lovely touch. Itd be great if there were a dustpan and brush, plus some hooks for coats and towels. Still, we had a lovely time!

This place is a real good place! Perfectly tucked away so you're peaceful, but still near shops and cafes. The hot tub is fantastic after a day out and the underfloor heating in the bathroom is a nice touch. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie are such lovely hosts-well be back soon!

Date of stay: 27th September 2024
We had a really lovely stay at this place! The setting is super private and peaceful, nestled in a beautiful spot. The owners were genuinely friendly and always happy to help if we needed anything, but kept a good distance so we felt totally relaxed. The hot tub was a real highlight after long bike rides-such a treat! One thing to note, though, is the noise from Stansteds flight path; its quite loud at times. We got used to it quickly and it didnt ruin our trip, but its worth mentioning if youre sensitive to aircraft sounds.

Date of stay: 4th September 2024
We just got back from a fantastic week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had absolutely everything we needed and felt very cosy. The hosts were so friendly and inviting, making us feel right at home. Despite being on a working farm, its a peaceful escape. Lovely place!
