Date of stay: 15th May 2017
The lodge was stunning. Owners seemed nice, we didn't require any assistance so only seen them upon check in.
Two tiny bits of criticism was that the hot tub had to be tested during our stay, it would be better if this could be done during changeover? Also, there were acrylic nails on the decking when we arrived so a little bit more care when cleaning this area would be great.
Christine, Tyne & Wear

We were very pleased with our holiday home. It was brand new and very comfortable. The double bedroom had an ensuite with a bath and overhead shower. There was also another bathroom with a shower. The living room/dining/kitchen area was spacious and very comfortable.
Outside there was a dog friendly gated decking area with table and chairs and car parking alongside. We enjoyed our week and would definately recommend this accommodation.

Lovely quiet caravan park. Apart from the little shop and kids park there is nothing else on site. Perfect for avoiding the usual fruit machines etc on holiday parks. Great base for touring around Ayrshire. Beautiful new caravan however 'work in progress' with site as opening up new areas and roads etc kind of rough. Would definatly recommend though for a quieter hoiday
Date of stay: 23rd May 2014
a quiet site more suited to those not requiring many facilities. Use of a car is needed for getting out and about. Lovely modern interior in the accommodation

G, Tring
Date of stay: 19th April 2014
Caravan was a perfect size for our needs, a family of five adults. It was new (maybe last season?) so looked clean and crisp. The caravans are well spaced so it feels very private. We arrived after 4pm and there was no one there to help us and there was no answer on the telephone number left as a contact on the office door. Two lovely people helped us get in touch with the park owner who immediately came to help us check into our caravan.
Elaine, Glasgow
Date of stay: 22nd February 2014
Absolutely stunning caravan. So nice we thought about becoming squatters. The kids loved the Jack and Jill bathroom. Owners are really friendly and helpful and we would most definitely stay here again without hesitation.
Kelda, Lochwinnoch
Date of stay: 13th January 2014
Caravan was lovely well equipped and beautifully decorated! Even though there was a mix up with our booking staff were very helpful and fixed the problem fast and efficiently. Not much to do in actual site but perfect for a peaceful relaxing get away! Would definitely return.
We were a family of 8 and we chose Croft head because of it location to be able to see lots of places. We spent a week ther and were not disappointed. The accommodation was first class and the hot tub was a welcome addition bonus which was enjoyed by all. We would definitely recommend to others and will be returning

We had a great stay with a lodge and hot tub. Even the horrible weather didn’t put us off using the hot tub. The lodge was fantastic. We were so pleased with what we got for our money. Already trying to find a time to go back and stay here again. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. We used the lodge as a base for exploring Ayr and surrounding areas. Thank you for a fab holiday😊

Fun Days Out near Crofthead

about 14 Miles
The amazing Loudoun Castle Theme Park is the largest in Scotland taking up a staggering 500 acres of glorious countryside. The park is suitable for visitors of all ages and has an excellent choice of rides including thrilling Rollercoasters. The site also hosts some fantastic family shows including the popular 'Walk the Plank' High Dive Show.  This place is much more than a theme park though, and younger children in particular will love the Dougal McDougal's farm area where the inhabitants include friendly goats, pigs and llamas as well as rabbits and other small pets.
about 27 Miles
James Hamilton Heritage Park has been awarded 4 Stars by the prestigious Visit Scotland Board and is a must visit attraction if you are in the area. The site features a gorgeous 16acre loch offering an exciting range of watersports including Canoeing and Windsurfing. Children and adults can enjoy taster sessions of most activities. The site also has two adventure playgrounds and a fleet of fun boats. The area is also abundant with wildlife and has a Bird Sanctuary.
about 32 Miles
M&D's, Scotland's Family Theme Park is a "must do" day out if you are in the Strathclyde region. The fun attraction is set within 20 acres of beautiful Country Park and offers rides, shows and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Besides the outdoor rides the site is also home to Amazonia - Scotland's only indoor Tropical Rainforest where visitors can meet loads of exotic animals. There is also a large indoor soft play area and an amazing glow in the dark bowling alley, so plenty to do if the weather is bad. During December Scotland's largest Grotto with animated Christmas scenes can also be enjoyed.
