Crofthead

Good place to visit

Lovely clean lodge, kids bedroom a bit small, nice big hot tub, beautiful views. The pillows and pillow cases looked old and they could do with new ones.Very basic (4 plates,4 glasses, 4 forks etc. nothing extra) no tea, coffee or sugar. It will be nice to have like a welcome pack. No towels, but we knew about that. Needs hooks on the back of the doors, special in the bathrooms

The Park was very well maintained and very quiet. Good location to visit local attractions. Sadly the Friarland Lodge did not meet expectations. There was a real lack of kitchen equipment. Lots of knocks and bumps, carpet into the lounge was coming away from the grip. The most frustrating thing was most of the blinds in the bedrooms were broken so either had to remain closed or had been ******* using the cords, really let it down. When we saw staff they were very friendly. I think the lodges just need some TLC and then would be a much higher rating.

Great holiday park well kept nice food in the on site restaurant and kids enjoyed the slots machines , lots of utensils in the kitchen and the lay out suited us being a family of 4 .

Was outstanding!

Lovely lodge with plenty of space & huge decking. So clean and cooking facilities, hoover plenty bin bags and things aswell

The cottage was perfect for our stay, tucked away nicely from busy areas. The hot tub was a real highlight! Hosts were friendly but didn't bother us at all.

We had an amazing stay at this cosy little cottage! Honestly, its so well equipped, we didnt need to bring a thing. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, full of useful info and menus - really thought through. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just perfect for relaxing after days out. Sharon and Rob were quick to reply if we had any questions, which was appreciated. Thanks for the thoughtful extras for us and our pups - well definitely be coming back!

This place really hits the spot if youre after some chill time. The hot tub was a bonus and the house had everything we needed. Nice folks too! Perfect for a quiet getaway, wed definitely come back.

Really enjoyed our stay. Glad we booked a lodge with an open view to the back. Everything was very clean.

We stayed at a beautifully converted house that was super cosy and warm, perfect for a rainy December day! The bath was fantastic and the big shower was a bonus. The place is right on a flight path, but honestly, we barely noticed any noise, so dont let that put you off. Great spot if youve got dogs that hate fireworks - very peaceful and remote. Thanks so much!

Great stay, spacious, modern, highly recommend!

Lovely lodge, so much space and modern.

We had such a lovely time! The lodge was stunning and really well equipped, perfect for a relaxing escape. The hot tub and decking area were just what we needed-private but with gorgeous views. All the staff we spoke to were super friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. The site was spotless and the kids loved the playpark, especially the little ones. Honestly, it was just what we needed after all the restrictions. Well definitely be coming back!

Such a lovely spot, super relaxing and the jacuzzi was fantastic!

We stayed at Friarlands Lodge recently. Arriving late at night, we struggled a bit with directions, even with the instructions and had to go back to reception for help. The staff member there was really friendly and even drove us up to the lodge, which was a lovely touch. Once inside, we couldnt get enough of the beautiful decor - its truly stunning and tastefully done. The only real downside was that, for the first time ever, we forgot to bring towels! Had to dash to Tesco the next morning and spent £40 on four towels - bit of a pain! The outdoor space wasnt really our thing; the open decking meant everyone could see us while in the hot tub, which spoiled the privacy a bit. Weve been to Carrick Lodge twice and that place faces a field with gorgeous decor, so wed go back there instead. Overall, a lovely stay, just remember to bring your towels unless privacy isnt a big deal for you!

We just got back from an amazing week at Goddards Mead. The cottage has everything you could want and more. The hosts are super friendly and make you feel right at home. Even on a busy farm, its such a peaceful retreat. Loved it!

We had a fantastic stay at this charming cottage! Its really well equipped, so we didnt need to bring much at all. The welcome pack was full of useful info and nice touches like menus, which made settling in super easy. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs, who loved exploring outside. The hot tub was a real highlight - absolutely loved relaxing in it. Sharon and RobeRead were quick to respond to questions and very helpful. Thanks for such a lovely break, wed definitely come back!

Really enjoyed our stay! The place was spotless, well-equipped and the hot tub was a highlight!

We loved Lodge 13! It was spotless, modern and had everything we needed for cooking up a storm. The stunning view from the hot tub was a real highlight and mornings outside with breakfast were just perfect. Totally a chill getaway!

Really loved the calm atmosphere here, its perfect for relaxing.

We loved this spot - definitely recommend it! Well run, family-owned park with a great location. Wed happily be a reference anytime.

We had such a lovely stay here! The place is super peaceful and well stocked with everything we needed. The hot tub was a real treat. If you're after some calm and quiet, this is perfect. Well done indeed!

The hot tub was fantastic, plenty of room for our group of five and always checked daily.

Had a lovely weekend here, would definitely recommend it for anyone after a peaceful getaway. Great stay!

Really enjoyed the stay

The cottage was just what we needed-peaceful and tucked away from busy areas. The hot tub was a real treat and the owners couldnt have been nicer or more helpful! We loved it!

Absolutely loved our stay! The hosts really went above and beyond, making everything so effortless and enjoyable for us.

Really enjoyed our stay here

We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and truly felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Rob and Sharon have done a wonderful job restoring this historic building with care and attention. Bonnie was lovely too! The place has everything you need for a relaxing stay and the location is perfect for exploring Essexs charming villages and towns. Definitely worth taking a walk around Thaxted and soaking up the history. Highly recommend!

Fantastic place to go on holiday friendly staff who could not be enough for people holidaying with them.
Fun family place with lots to do around the area

Lovely caravan & surroundings, very quiet, good family holiday.

The location was excellent with easy acesss to visit all the places we wished to see.

Staff were helpful and friendly. We had a power cut and this was dealt with immediately.

The site was well maintained and planned to give each Lodge / Caravan some privacy.

Very quiet site. Perfect to go and relax. The only negative was having to be out the lodge at 9am.

Very good and quit

Excellent lodge , very modern , clean and spacious .
Hot tub was excellent and a private view over fields

Very enjoyable stay

Would 100% recommend Crofthead Holiday Park to anyone! Our holiday was great from start to finish. The whole family absolutely loved it. There’s plenty to do around Ayr also if you’re wanting to head out for the day! The hot tub was so relaxing. There was even a great park next to the reception for the kids! The views from the park are fantastic also. The lodge we stayed in was immaculate. It was also a lot bigger than we expected with plenty of storage. Also came with a washing machine which was an added bonus as we managed to do some washing throughout our stay and dry it on the airers which saved a massive load of washing when we got home (it’s the little things in life haha). We can’t wait to visit again!

We had a lovely holiday. The staff are so helpful. The park is well looked after and is so close to everything.

Had an amazing time away with my daughters. Lodge outweighed our expectations. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back.

Crofthead is wonderful and the staff could not be more helpful

Very enjoyable week at Crofthead. Only one problem was the sofa bed setter in the lounge
was very uncomfortable to sit on as a settee.
