Filthy and not fit for purpose

We had a lovely stay at this cottage! The place was spotless and well stocked, making everything super easy. Loved the dog-friendly walks just outside the door and meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a highlight. The host was really friendly and quick to reply. Definitely coming back, great value! Highly recommend.

We needed a chill weekend for the dogs and ourselves and it was spot on. Lovely place, close to pubs and scenic walks. The dogs loved it so much, they didnt want to leave the car! Brilliant stay.

It was pretty standard, but honestly, the weather was lovely so we didnt hang around much. The hot tub was a real plus! No outdoor seating, so we grabbed a couple of chairs from a nearby supermarket - they worked fine, no fuss at all.

This place really is a good place. The hot tub was a highlight, perfect for unwinding. The property is well stocked and peaceful, just what we needed. The hosts are lovely too, couldnt recommend it enough! Definitely a spot to return to.

We had a fantastic stay! Sharon and Robert really went out of their way to make us feel at home, which we appreciated a lot. The place was spotlessly clean, super comfy and perfect for our dog Archie - felt totally secure. The location was just right, with loads of lovely walks nearby. We definitely left feeling refreshed and relaxed, it was exactly what we needed. Would happily come back!

We stayed at this place during a rainy December and honestly, the house was spot on! Its really well kitted out and super cosy, which was just what we needed. The bath was lovely and the shower was a decent size. The location is perfect if your dogs hate fireworks - total peace and quiet. And despite the plane noise, it didnt bother us at all. We had an amazing stay at this lovely cottage! The owners are genuinely warm and helpful, making us feel right at home. The place is super cosy, with a charming half-timbered style that really adds character. The shower was powerful and the bed was so comfy we didnt want to get up! Parking right next to the cottage is a real bonus and its spotlessly clean. Perfect spot for scenic walks to Thaxted and exploring nearby villages. Well definitely come back!

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners were super helpful but didnt bother us at all, which was great. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around. The place had everything we needed and the hot tub was absolutely brilliant! We really enjoyed our stay at Ballard Pod 4. The space was perfect for four of us and the hot tub was a lovely touch. Itd be great if there were a dustpan and brush, plus some hooks for coats and towels. Still, we had a lovely time!

We absolutely loved our stay at Goddard Mead! The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right from the doorstep were perfect. The hosts made us feel so welcome, really lovely people!

We didn't get the original room we booked because of a last-minute change, but honestly, if it was an upgrade, we're pretty happy it happened. Made the trip a bit more special!

This place is a real good place! Perfectly tucked away so you're peaceful, but still near shops and cafes. The hot tub is fantastic after a day out and the underfloor heating in the bathroom is a nice touch. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie are such lovely hosts-well be back soon!

Out lodge was spotless & staff friendly & helpful

Excellent lodge and loved how quiet the area was. My only advice is to take your own outdoor chairs. Unlike the photos there is no place to sit outside and the dining chairs were not comfy.

Couldn't recommend a stay here more. Quiet apart from my children and they had a ball, they loved the hot tub. They played in our little bit of garden and we were completely left alone. Staff were very helpful and always at hand when needed. Cabin was modern clean and a peaceful private good value break. Definitely recommend and definitely go back. 10 out of 10 from this family.

Nice relaxing break. Perfect location hidden away and nice to come back to when we've been out round Scotland to Glasgow and Edinburgh

Fantastic 4 days away . It's says pod but I would call it a micro lodge , the pictures are spot on with what you get . It has only just opened so all is brand new and a couple of lodges were just being finished. Hot tub was excellent and for short break had plenty of room . Good oven and full size fridge freezer and bathroom bigger than static caravan . Had a great time on the beaches nearby plenty to go to and lots of superstores .
