Overall the lodge was very tired in need of a refit.Fridge had no milk shelves etc.Furniture all ok but getting tired again Basic implements inside the lodge but gets you through.

The lodge was lovely. I would just recommend some hangers in the second bedroom

Though we had a few issues, this was dealt with amazingly and i am sure will be resolved for the next customer ! most comfortable beds.. had great night sleep every night

The living accommodation is good. We would have preferred a double rather than a queen bed as it was very tight either side of the bed. The kitchen lacked some equipment e.g. potato peeler, wooden spoons, dishes for cooking with and lids that fitted the saucepans.
Emma
Date of stay: 30th March 2025
Overall, we found the place pretty comfortable and the living space was nice. That said, the bed was a bit snug with just a queen size - a double would have been better for us. The kitchen could do with more utensils like a potato peeler, wooden spoons and proper lids for the saucepans. Still, its a decent spot for a short stay!

Date of stay: 19th February 2025
The lodge was lovely overall, but no free WiFi was a bit frustrating. Paying extra for it on one device was pricey. The location by the river meant flood risks and the approach was via narrow, single-track roads. Still enjoyed it, though!

The place was spotless and exactly as described online. The hot tub was well looked after during our stay. Honestly, its much larger than the pictures suggest!

We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, it had its ups and downs. The place itself is pretty spacious and well-equipped, with plenty of kitchen utensils, tea bags, coffee sachets and even a tiny washing up liquid bottle to get you started. Its clear theyve thought about what guests might need. That said, you can see signs of wear and tear here and there, which was a bit disappointing. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch, really festive and cosy. The hot tub is decent in size but sadly, its not in the best spot. You have to access it from the main door, not the patio and its right in front of the driveway, so no privacy at all. There are no screens or outdoor lights, so after 4pm in December, its pretty much dark and you end up turning on your car lights just to see what youre doing when taking the cover off. We didnt get to use it as much as we might have liked, mainly because its so awkward to get to and not very private. Plus, the plot itself was overgrown and in the dark, I had to carefully climb through brambles to reach the hot tub, which wasnt ideal. Overall, its a nice place, but a few tweaks would make a big difference. We probably wouldnt go back just for the hot tub situation, honestly.

We had a fantastic stay over Christmas! The house was spacious and spotless, everything we needed was there. The bedrooms with en suites were so comfy and the hot jacuzzi was just perfect for the chilly weather. Loved it!

Not luxury at all, worn, dated , tired , a big shame. Hot tub very old, no privacy . Hooks hanging off doors, cobwebs every where , windows not clean

Date of stay: 6th November 2024
Were big fans of Waveney River Centre, this is actually our third visit and were already planning the next! The place has such a peaceful vibe, perfect for relaxing in nature. The lodges are spacious and kept in great condition, plus theres a lovely restaurant and indoor pool that our kids adored. The only thing is, the local shop has shrunk quite a bit, so its best to stock up beforehand. Luckily, Beccles is only about 20 minutes away with supermarkets and great cafes - Twyfords is a must! We love it here.
Sam
Date of stay: 17th October 2024
The lodge was pretty decent, really close to the neighbouring one with the hot tub overlooking it, but luckily, no one was using it. Its a simple place, but we liked it.
Emma
Date of stay: 16th October 2024
We had a lovely stay! The kids (aged 5 and 7) adored watching the ducks and swans from the lodge-it was so peaceful. The playground onsite kept them happily busy for a while too. Definitely somewhere we'd visit again!
Emma
Date of stay: 9th October 2024
Overall, its a lovely place, though the showers in the pool area looked a bit worn out and the hot tub was out of order. Still, we had a great time!
Emma Roberts
Date of stay: 8th October 2024
Overall, quite pleased with our purchase. The settees could be a bit firmer and the fridge lacked door shelves. Still, lovely stuff overall!
Christina
Date of stay: 8th October 2024
Settees were a bit saggy and the fridge had no shelves in the door, but everything else was lovely
Emma
Date of stay: 26th August 2024
We had a lovely week at Wavney River Centre. Its quite peaceful, perfect for families and dogs are welcome which is a big plus for us. The pool is a bit on the small side, but we managed to swim a few times and enjoyed it. Booking a lodge with a hot tub turned out to be a great decision, everyone loved it! The pub nearby serves solid pub grub and the little shop covers the basics, so no complaints there. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was the wifi-paying extra for unreliable connection was a bit frustrating. The access road is narrow, so reversing sometimes was necessary when meeting tractors, but once out, we explored Beccles, Lowestoft and Gorleston beach easily. Overall, a good stay!
Emma
Date of stay: 17th August 2024
We had a fantastic week at Burgh Staith with a big group of us. The place was super spacious, perfect for 10 of us and kept really clean. The en-suites and bathrooms made things easy and the kitchen had everything we needed - pots, pans, cutlery, you name it. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially for the little ones who loved spending most of their time in it. Wed definitely come back if were in the area again, no doubt!
James
Date of stay: 31st July 2024
We stayed at Broadview Lodge recently and really enjoyed it. The layout was spot on, super cosy for us and our dog. The hot tub felt very private thanks to good screening and the deck had lovely views of the countryside-it was a great stay!

Really enjoyed the stay, would definitely return.
Emma
Date of stay: 27th June 2024
Overall, it felt very homely, but that damp mop in the cupboard was a letdown.
James
Date of stay: 2nd June 2024
While the place is really peaceful, its quite remote, which can be a bit of a downside. We were lucky with the weather, but if it had rained, the only walks are along narrow country roads or field footpaths-not ideal in wet weather. Still, a quiet spot.
Emma Carter
Date of stay: 2nd June 2024
Lovely lodge overall, just the flues can be annoying.
Emma
Date of stay: 7th April 2024
Comfortable enough, but its getting worn.
Emma
Date of stay: 6th March 2024
Great experience, would do again.
