Cooker and microwave were both filthy and when our Internet went down the man emptied the saucepan cupboard and noticed it was full of crumbs. He was disgusted

We received a discount going through NHS, lodge very comfortable, cleanliness not sure if this lodge had been stayed in recently as plenty of cob webs, flies around window frames etc, understand you will get those in this environment but I dont think the lodge had been checked before our arrival. Needs a little TLC as laminate flooring needed attention in various areas.

Beautiful, spacious lodge. Some silly things like door handles a bit tired and ropey now but otherwise all good. Secure decking for the dog and beds, sofas all comfy

Very uncomfortable sofas and chairs inside and out. Veranda very dirty and wood peeling on railings and floor. Television not working. Double bed felt like we were falling out of it.

Very poor left 4 days early and all the receptionist said was did you enjoy it??? Umm NOCouldn't keep children safe in accommodation he kept disappearing out of the windows and front door as they can't be locked to stop egress, unsafe near the water.Play equipment seen better daysNo walks anywhere only on a road that all you can see is a hedge unsafe for children Pool staff very unhelpful more interested in people that took their dogs in than explaining anything to us, some people were in the pool hours we got told to leave after 1 hour even though it was nearly empty. Pub not open long enough, nothing to do.

Booked last minute, for a long weekend, the only accommodation left was dog friendly hot tub ones . Was a little worried would be doggy as we werent bringing a dog but pleasantly surprised, other than odd cobweb log cabin was really clean & didnt smell of dog either . The outside areas / hot tub / trims around shower / bath are a bit tired and need some tlc . The pool & especially the changing rooms could do with an upgrade. Lovely quiet site, great for a quiet adult holiday . I wouldnt bring children as not enough to keep them occupied, & You definitely need a car as not much nearby . . Staff friendly . Check out is quite early & checking in quite late so if youre just staying for the weekend its not great value . The one thing we really didnt like was the sensor lights at front of cabin , if you relaxing in the hot tub in the evening, you keep getting flood lit when you move & no way of turning them off . The internet that you have to pay for it hit & miss & not worth it .

Fabulous chalet- airy and spacious. Hot tub was lovely. Lovely and quiet. Tiny improvement would be a bit more crockery in the kitchen ie mixing bowl/ Pyrex

The only complaint would be the front door is rather high for anyone with difficulties in walking and the doormat inside proved to be slippery on the floor to step onto, so we removed it for our stay.

Upon arrival, we were surprised to learn that the clubhouse and entertainment facilities closed at 9:00 p.m.a detail that was not made clear at the time of booking. While the area itself was pleasant, this early closure was unexpected and somewhat disappointing.Unfortunately, shortly after check-in, we encountered several issues across all four chalets. Two of the units had broken showers that could not be repaired until the following day. One chalet was unable to connect to the Wi-Fi service, which we had to pay extra for. Additionally, the hot tubs in all units were in an unsatisfactory conditiongrimy with a visible scum on the surface, and overall not clean. The following day, after returning from an outing, we discovered that the games roomthe only advertised form of entertainment for familieshad been booked for a private function and was therefore inaccessible. This was especially disappointing for those of us with young children who had been looking forward to using the facility and couldnt understand why they werent allowed to join in the fun while on their holiday which inevitably caused distress to a one year old.On our final day, we were informed that the clubhouse closed at 6:00 p.m. and the last food orders were at 4:00 p.m. Given the remote location of the site, with the nearest alternative dining options a 15-minute drive away, this was very inconvenient and again, not clearly communicated.Overall, we found the experience underwhelming. The facilities did not meet the standard we expected based on your website, and had we not had access to cars, the weekend would have been significantly more disappointing. We strongly feel that if advertised amenities such as entertainment and clubhouse services are restricted or unavailable, this should be clearly stated prior to booking and reflected in the price. Furthermore, the condition of the chalets did not justify the cost.I hope you will take this feedback seriously and look into improving both the accuracy of your advertising and the standard of accommodation and facilities provided.

We liked the spaciousness of the escape 5 and 2 bigger beds plus 3 bathrooms was a real treat. We were basically happy with the lodge but it was showing signs of wear particularly in the bathrooms. Despite is being 4 bed the dining table was only for 6. There were 2 more chairs but they didnt fit round the table and we had to bring a patio table inside. The curtains in the two double rooms were far too thin causing us to wake at 5am. The hot tub was a generous size. The kitchen equipment and crockery was on the minimalist side.

We had an amazing weekend at this lodge! The place was spotless and everything you could want was there. The beds were super comfy with nice linen and the hot tub was the highlight-spent ages in it. Definitely a place well come back to. Highly recommend!

The lodge was well-kept and cosy, which we appreciated. We did run into a couple of problems, like a blown bulb and a broken toilet seat, but the staff responded swiftly and kindly. Nice stay overall!

The farmhouse was pretty roomy for ten of us, which was great. The hot tub and surroundings were lovely, really relaxing. Only downside was the cutlery and crockery - pretty limited. Dishwasher was a bit of a letdown, but staff were really helpful with everything.
