Was very nice just needed a bit more time spend on the cleaning as there were a lot of cobwebs and the furniture was a bit dirty & so was the bedding need to pull furniture out and clean behind. It did smell a bit doggy. But everything else was good definitely be back again
Craig, Gosport
Date of stay: 8th October 2018
Cabin was a lot larger than expected and even though there was no central heating the cabin kept incredibly warm with just the heaters on. Nice location we even had a Robin that would come into the lounge.

As I ordered a pet friendly lodge I knew we would prob get an older lodge but it turned out to be a great location as we did not bring the car this time. We were at the top by the club house. no.88

Date of stay: 14th September 2018
A comfortable, spacious accommodation which is a bit dated but has comfortable beds. Our particular lodge appeared to be the only one which you could not park ne xt to and had poor foot access (198) otherwise site was very well serviced.

The website should be updated, because the 1 Bed Lodge now has all the furniture and fittings needed: fridge, cooker, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, TV, DVD player. It was perfectly clean and everything worked.
Julia, Folkestone
Date of stay: 18th August 2018
Excellent lodge, spacious and well equipped in the main, although a few basics ie tea towel, oven gloves etc would have been useful as we had to rush out and buy these on our first day.

Date of stay: 20th April 2018
That good we've looked for September and next year
Emma, Birmingham
Date of stay: 13th April 2018
Before we travelled we had noticed from a previous review online that the 1 bedroom ex lodges didn't include appliances such as a microwave and fridge so I was stressing as I was taking a baby and a toddler away and knew these were a must have on my holiday. There was nothing we could do at such short notice prior to the holiday so we took as much as we could from home and prioritised what we needed when we got there however when we arrived we were amazed that the lodge was refurbished, modern and beautiful with all the appliances I was so happy as it went above my expectations and it was placed in a fantastic location yards away from the entertainment complex so not too far for us to walk with the little ones. We also had the pleasure of having deers join us for the first night just outside our lodge.
Emma, Oxford
Date of stay: 6th April 2018
Plenty of room for 5
Matthew, Newbury
Date of stay: 2nd April 2018
Evening entertainment for kids was excellent and one of the main reasons we would consider coming again. Just enough to do onsite for a rainy day but the main buildings need investment and more food outlets (only one more).
Anthony, Walton On The Naze
Date of stay: 26th March 2018
Only problem was being next to the road as there were no net curtains so either you had curtains open or closed.
V, Hampshire
Date of stay: 23rd March 2018

Lodge was excellent. We stayed in a Dorchester 2, very high standard. Nice surroundings and location. The pool was a bit cold for our 1 year old, but the outside park and indoor soft play were good. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked nice. The shop on site was very expensive though. Overall, enjoyed the holiday and a nice place. Would go back again. Great for families

We had the one lodge that we saw with a ramp, which is in urgent need of repair. There should be more ramped access lodges as it was great for out children, they could access most of it in their chairs. They were very well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Some lagging around the water tank to reduce the noise of the very slow refill.

Fab family holiday, staff were friendly and very helpful. The kids loved the pool. The lodge was spacious and well appointed.
Karl, Brentwood, Essex.
Date of stay: 22nd July 2017
Overall, very pleasant. Only a shame I couldn't have done 2 weeks. ( I couldn't afford 2 weeks )

I really like the setting of the log cabins in amongst trees and beside lakes, on some gentle hills.

The log cabins are more spacious than even the biggest caravans I've been in. The bathroom we had is bigger than the one I have in my current house !

The surrounding are so much nicer than the average caravan park with rows of identical regimented caravans on flat fields.

The only downside for me, is Warmwell is more expensive than the average identikit caravan park ...
Glenn, Dorking Surrey

Spacious inside and out allowing little one to run around in complete safety. Well furnished and spotlessly clean.
Edward, Dagenham

The beds were caravan sized and due to medical reasons we had to sleep apart, we are both slightly overweight and the smaller beds were very noticeable. the lodge was clean , however the cleaning material used left a sticky surface. the was no coaster to protect to wooden surfaces.

We liked the Dorchester 2 accommodation although we would have preferred to be away from the overhanging trees which made the lodge quite dark inside . A bit more attention to trimming the branches and allowing better access to the driveways would help.

Lovely surroundings with wildlife (was amazing to see the deer so close, not bothered by us at all). TV had a cracked screen when we got there but was changed by pleasant staff within about half hour of us reporting it to reception. Lodge was surprisingly big inside and well equipped too. Only thing to complain about was the weather!

The cabin was very small but still very cosy and comfortable but we had nowhere to put fishing gear as this is a fishing holiday.

Everything else was awesome

Had a fantastic christmas break we took the 7 day option , facilities great and do much to do even if it was our 2nd visit :) i have two grumbles tho the changing rooms were ice cold with only a couple of small fan ones in the corridor where the lockers are , did mention to staff and they said how cold it was in the winter :( we only used the pool twice would have used alot more if changing facilities were warmer , also the oven took forever to cook anything ....christmas dinner took forever in it even a pizza took 45 mins , i would like to see better ovens in the lodges as it is sc and a dishwasher !! Apart from those 2 moans we had a great time and will go back , kids love it :) :)

One small problem for us was that the settees were very low and as older people we found it difficult to get up from them
Helen, Stockport
Date of stay: 9th September 2016
Nice lodge, warm, comfy and clean. My only niggle was what's the point of a dish washer if there are not powder tablets? I'm not buying a box for 2 or 3 washes and we don't all have a machine at home to bring a couple with us. At least we remembered to bring the Fairy and washed up as usual.

Tina, South Wales
Date of stay: 29th July 2016
Happy in lodge - beds comfy, clean and spacious for f2 adults and 2 kids. Location meant tricky parking and location was far from main comes but we were fine with that as lovely walks. Only thing to say was it felt a little bit 'caravan' in that the bedrooms were close together - really not a big deal though, just comparing it to the warham 3 which we had previously and it felt a little more open.

Date of stay: 30th October 2015
Lodge was great we did not need the heating much but when we did was nice and cosy.
Only one thing we found a bit difficult using outside steps in the dark as the built in LED lights were a bit blinding as you go down you can't see the steps very well.
We will return .

Date of stay: 25th September 2015
Comfy and clean lodge. Enough room for us and parking just in front of the lodge. Washing machine wasn't great had to put it on twice to get a decent clean. Only disappoint was I thought it would be a standalone lodge but we didn't hear any noise from either side .
Lorraine, Oldbury, West Midlands

A superb lodge, very modern with lots of added extras.
Alan, Acle, Norwich
Date of stay: 11th September 2015
Apart from broken cords on the venetian blinds, which made it difficult to operate certain blinds especially on the main bedroom windows, every. thing else in the lodge was well presented.
Jan, Kidlington
Date of stay: 11th September 2015
The cabi n needed a spruce up but to be fair we went at the end of the season. We took my Mum who is 92 and had to pad the armchair out as otherwise she sunk in it. Apart from those minor things we had a fabulous holiday the grounds are great and it is positioned well between Weymouth and Dorchester. We will definately go again.

A lot to pay for a UK holiday but in comparison to other sites it is probably good value. It felt like we were entering a brand new lodge, no trace of previous occupants! Very clean, spacious, modern, a home from home. Spot on.
Burton, Prescot
Date of stay: 11th July 2015
Enjoyed my holiday but I think in future they need to keep school kids separate from holiday makers. We were in between a big school group of teenage lads and they were rowdy and noisy spoiling the peace for other holiday makers.

Lovely lodge, plenty of room as we went with our son and his wife and child. Having 2 showers and 2 w.c's was a bonus. Everything was spotlessly clean. Lovely, we will be going back again.
Emma, Eastbourne
Date of stay: 3rd April 2015
Very pleased with the Lodge - it was like being home away from home. Would definitely book this accommodation again. The only improvement would be to have a power shower or a walk in unit installed. The highlight of our stay was to see the Deer roaming around the Lodges of an evening.
Donna, Birmingham
Date of stay: 27th March 2015
A home from home. Our lodge had a wonderful view on to the woods. Fantastic size rooms, plenty of creature comforts. Attention to detail taken in designing these lodges and a well stocked kitchen eg hand blender which was ideal with a baby. A few little issues in lodge eg gate sticking and flat batteries in remotes for televisions however these were sorted straightaway. The park do a welcome visit to your lodge and hence resolved our little problems. Excellent customer service.
Gwynne, Gower, South Wales
Date of stay: 27th March 2015
The Dorchester provided very comfortable accomodation and loads of space.
Colin, Sompting
Date of stay: 23rd March 2015
We had lovely accommodation and thankfully in a quieter part of the park albeit darker. The privately owned property was extremely clean considering they welcome pets. It was well appointed with all the equipment you could ask for. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms really nice with walk in showers. Only a minor recommendation is it could do with a couple of table lamps in the lounge area.
Liz, Southampton
Date of stay: 23rd March 2015

Melanie, Ashford Kent
Date of stay: 6th March 2015
The lodge we stayed in was clean and well equiped for our needs ,we had a bit of an issue with the shower which was quickly dealt with by a member of staff .It was a lovely sight to see the deer wandering around along with all the ducks ,our stay was very pleasant and the park is now on our (to visit again ) list
Jacqueline, Sutton Coldfield
Date of stay: 23rd February 2015
Accomadation was nice and cosy but we're the corridor that leads to the bedrooms from the lounge needs a door there because if someone goes to bed and the others stay to watch tv you can hear the tv as well in your room and if you use the settee beds there is no privacy
Michael

the only issues we had with our lodge 167 was that the 2 sofas were not very comfortable and do need replacing , and there isn't a shelf in the en suite so we had to place toiletries on top of WC and window shelf

The Dorchester 2 was an excellent lodge - very modern, spacious and with all the equipment that we could possibly need. (I was particularly impressed that you had supplied a bed rail that I was able to use for my toddler.)
Andrew, London
Date of stay: 13th October 2014
Stylish and tasteful decor and everything seemed very new. Some small bars of soap in the bathrooms would have been appreciated.

Beautiful lodge, very happy!!!
Beth, Chichester
Date of stay: 3rd October 2014
The Blandford is really luxurious- although it's a static caravan type of lodge. Was really clean through out and plenty of room. Sofas and bed very comfortable. You get to park right next to your lodge on a little gravel patch. They are up by the main road, so you do hear the lorries going past (even through the double glazing). The plus side though is that they are near to the clubhouse (cut through the playground) and easy to drive to. Also, very overlooked by the neighbours. Other than that very nice indeed.

Dorchester was amazing! Have been on holiday all over the world, and in 5 hotels. This was best accommodation EVER. Could comfortably live there.
Kate, Martham
Date of stay: 9th August 2014
Expensive as have to go in school holidays and pay more than double than off peak, was more expensive than cheddar woods which we stayed the week before which is only one year old and wifi free in lodges. This is important with teenage children!
Caroline, Cardiff
Date of stay: 9th August 2014
excellent. bulb wasn't working in one of the lamps and someone came round straight away and sorted it out! shower was a bit temperamental but they tried to fix it!

Michael, Chessington
Date of stay: 8th August 2014
Considering the accommodation slept 8 people a second toilet & shower would have been preferable.
The lodge also needed a little maintenance. Wooden front had started to rot also the wooden bench table outside was rotting but this did not spoil an enjoyable holiday.
Katrina, Isle Of Wight

Lovely, clean and spacious lodge.only small complaint was we had no oven tray for cooking pizza on.
Diana, Dover
Date of stay: 2nd August 2014

Lodge number 10 The Lakes must be the best lodge on the park, we loved it and would not want to stay in any other lodge, enough said.
Daniela, Gravesend
Date of stay: 1st August 2014
Pleasantly surprised at size of lodge for the 3 of us it was a far better option than a caravan holiday. If there was 6-8 that it could sleep it would be squashed and not much cupboard space in the smallest bedroom and only 1bathroom. But for us it was great.
Angela, Worthing
Date of stay: 1st August 2014
It had all that we needed :) and to be honest you don't spend much time in the lodge, the outside furniture could do with updating.

Date of stay: 26th July 2014
There were no bedside lamps in the bedroom. The man that came round to ask if everything was ok said he would sort it but never got the lamps

The shower was not good it came out full on cold but when hot there was not enough power. Should have complained really but had showers at swimming pool

On the plus side can recommend this holiday fantastic place and staff very helpful. Great for children and adults x

The only draw back I had is the was no where to walk my dog.
I was told there was a track where horses exercise, which was along side the site with fencing. I did use this, but a lot of the time it was not passable on foot due to being so muddy. I also felt it was not safe as my dog was able to get through the fence in places, and being there was a quarry on the other side with a drop I chose not to use it after a couple of walks. Otherwise it was a perfect park.

The cottage was excellent, everything felt brand new and having two bathrooms meant the girls could have their own and leave me in peace!
The furniture was very comfortable (think we all had a doze on one of the sofas at one point or another over the holiday) tv was a decent size and the verandah was great to sit out on.
We had deer came and visit us which was nice, kids got some great pictures.

Cooking in the lodge was very frustrating. Every time we cooked we had to have literally every window open as you fitted a fire alarm right next to thr cooker! We even had the extractor fan on but as soon as you opened the cooker it set them off. Came with a 6 month old and 3 yr old. My 3 yr old is sensitive to sound so had to place her in the bedroom every time. I know they are for safety but you really don't need them that close to the cooker especially as it sets it off every time. Was really annoying.

Great location and facilities on the sitebut I was disappointed by the standard of accommodation as it was very dated scruffy but it dis have everything we needed.

Basic lodge ( our booking choice). Plenty of room, very clean. Lovely fluffy towels. Good heating. Basic kitchen but still able to make dinner for 5. Lovely surroundings. Great fun at ski slope ( can be expensive if frequent visitor). Entertainment ok.. good effort. Good service at bar. Kids loved the skating. Good location.. plenty to visit.
Emma
We throughly enjoyed our holiday but on the second night of our stay we went to the restaurant on site to celebrate my sons 5th birthday however, they didn't have enough staff due to being ill so we didn't have much choice on the menu and when we did order the food came out within 2 minutes. We didn't get an apology after my partner complained the reception the following day. I thought the park and facilities were fantastic but the swimming pool was very dated and the changing rooms a disgrace. Dorset is a beautiful place to venture out on day trips including lulworth cove, Poole harbour and Weymouth beach.

Monkey World is not only a local attraction but the work they carry out is amazing.  Rescuing and rehabilitating monkeys and assisting governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates are just some of the purposes of the centre. You get to see the primates themselves many of which have become famous from appearing on the TV show Monkey World - a documentary about this place. Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.
