Nice quiet location. Lovely setting overlooking Ryan Bay. Close to Stranraer ... DandG's second largest town (... possibly just over a mile along the bay). The Fairy Pod's are lovely ... this was our third visit to the site and third time stopping in one of the pod's. Would have no hesitation going back ;-) ... hopefully back there again sometime soon.

Stayed here as a family of 3 with a 4 year old and we all loved it. Would definitely recommend and would come back. Only thing I would add is they should have a look at the shower head as it fell off during my 4 year old showering and hit her in the head. Not a big fix, but apart from that everything was perfect. Thank you.

We really enjoyed this cosy little cottage. Perfect spot for us, peaceful and away from the busy crowds. The hot tub was a lovely bonus. Owners were super helpful but never intrusive. They've got it just right!

We had a fantastic weekend here! The place was just what we needed and were already planning to return soon. Our dogs had a blast-the underfloor heating was a hit and they loved playing outside in the garden. Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it, but shes fine now. Happy pups, happy us!

Wed definitely consider returning to Loch Ryan, though probably not in the same caravan. Would be great if the bar opened more hours for food!

Overall, pretty happy with the experience. The only small thing was the description mentioning a cooker, which could have been clearer as a gas BBQ instead. Had to think a bit about meals for the kids, but otherwise, all good.

We had such a lovely stay! The cottage was super well-kept and had everything we needed. Our dogs loved the nearby walks and it was great to meet the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig. The host was really friendly and made everything easy. Definitely coming back, its such good value and a proper little escape!

We found the beds a bit flimsy and really needed some extra reinforcing wood. The place is adorable and cosy, but definitely not suitable for four adults. The toilet and shower are quite small, but everything you need is there - cutlery, crockery. It stayed warm without extra heating and the views from each pitch are stunning!

We stayed here for a week in July with our two tiny dachshunds and they absolutely loved it! The village of Thaxted is charming and our dogs made quite a few friends. The cottage itself is lovely, especially the hot tub which was a real treat, especially since it was sweltering outside. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel right at home. It was nice to see their dogs being taken to the fields every day - such a lovely touch. Being near Stansteds flight path added some entertainment - watching the planes land was quite fun. Wed definitely recommend it!

The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for our dog Archie-felt super secure. The location was just right, with loads of lovely walks and charming villages like Thaxted nearby. We needed a quick escape for the dog and found this place ideal. Lovely countryside, plenty of off-road walks and nearby pubs. The dog refused to get back in the car afterwards-pretty much says it all!
