Mr A Willis
We have now had several lodge holidays in the last couple of years but this was one of the best. The lodges were superb with loads of space and beautiful views. We chose a Squirrel Lodge which had plenty of room for the 6 of us and even had its own hot tub. Excellent!

Had a great week, even although we had a couple of power cuts which were understandable. And even when the thunder and lightning storm took out the Internet, staff couldn't have been more helpful. Cabin was great, perfect for a peaceful getaway.

A lovely place to stay if you want peace and quiet, which we did. Truly beautiful surroundings and lovely staff. My girls went to Alton Towers in the day, which was very close and I explored local area. It was lovely to come back to somewhere so unspoiled after busy day.

I will start this off by saying the staff were friendly and I am sure we got one of the bad old lodges, as other lodges looked a lot better, but anyway this was our experience. There is ZERO mobile signal down in the lodges, so you have no choice but to pay for their expensive wifi package. Which also is very difficult to get working on any Amazon device (tablets or Fire TV stick). It also times you our multiple times a day, meaning you need to re-login to the captive portalStayed in Squirrel 52, it's quite cramped for a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids). The place was clean but the lighting was bad, so it was quite dark and also the sofas are tiny and uncomfortable, so it wasn't the most relaxing stay. Arrived and one of the bedroom main lights didn't work, informed reception but no one came to fix it. Also the washing machine literally tried to walk out the door whenever we used it - completely unbalanced. Positives were that the site looked well maintained and the hot tub was nice!

Greatest lodge we've been to on holiday. Staff were super friendly, lodge was clean, ideal location. I was genuinely surprised when we got there we couldn't fault anything at all. We would definitely recommend this place and we will be back in the future.

The under-floor heating was on all night and we were unable to turn it off couldn't sleep the first night tried opening windows but was getting bitten as the curtains were too short or damaged .Informed reception the next morning .When they sent someone, he said the value was stuck and he'd fix it in 10 minutes which he couldn't. So he said he'd have to soak it a while .We went out and, on our arrival, back to the lodge we found it was still on . We had to wear shoes in the bathroom as it was too hot without any .So again, had another sleepless night . This went on for 3 nights until it was turned off ( so there was no heating what so ever ).2 The hot tub light was broken and some of the jets didn't work if you tried to turn them on it would just fallout from the pressure. We told the hot tub maintenance man about this and was told they were aware of the problem and were waiting for parts from China ( if we have known this, we wouldn't have gone there ) 3 The bathroom was full of mould and limescale .The basin was hanging off the bath taps were loose .The Toilet was dirty all down the sides . The plastic on the shower screen was also broken. 4 The kitchen tiles were cracked and most utensils were dirty .5 The curtain rail in the room kept falling down every time the door was open which we couldn't avoid at it was the only way to get in or out.6 The whole place was covered in cobwebs which had clearly been there some time.7 The fire extinguisher was not in the green zone so was unusable if there was a fire .8 The bath robes and towels were tatty . I have used hoseason every year and this is the first time I've had to complain. The place should not have been let out as it's not safe .

Lovely lodge with all the creature comforts of home and we were also impressed with shower to as it had an over head shower, a smaller shower and also had body jets. There was a Fridge, Freezer, Wine Cooler, Hot Tub, TV, netflix app. Cooker, microwave ect. Towels were also provided and also a hair Dryer for the ladies. Very polite and friendly staff.

We just got back from a four-night stay at this charming cottage and honestly, it was great. The owners were super friendly but didnt bother us at all, which we really appreciated. The fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed, including a BBQ one evening. The hot tub was a real highlight! Were already telling friends about it and definitely plan to come back. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Overall, we appreciated the facilities and comfort the property offered, but certain isuesparticularly around cleanlin. I really enjoyed all the facilities the property offered the hot tub, the barbecue, the fully furnished and equipped kitchen with everything we needed, the house itself, the underfloor heating everything was convenient and readily available for all our needs. What we didnt like about the property was the person who came to introduce us to the lodge and explain the rules. They asumed that my husband was Indian, although he is actually Moroccan, which we found somewhat offensive. The light in the hot tub wasnt working, and one of its corners was chipped. While the place was generally clean, it wasnt spotles. The bed was not comfortable at all. When we entered the lodge, there was a very unpleasant smell inside. The doormat or rug at the entrance was full of dog hair, and there was quite a bit of hair around the lodge as well. These are the main things we were unhappy with.

Lovely lodge, just could have done with a few more hooks to hang coats on and shelves in bathroom.
William
A very enjoyable stay within a very peaceful location.
Claire
Had a great holiday at quarry walk lodges, lovely place, cabin was clean and spacious, hot tub was fantastic was only a short distance to all the activities around that we had booked, only thing was not within walking distance of a local pub but we had our own entertainment at night on our private porch. Would definitely recommend if visiting alton towers, waterworld, cannock chase go ape etc
Maria
A lovely place to relax. You don't get a WiFi or data signal here unless you walk up to reception area as its quite remote and also a signal to call on your mobile phone too. We stayed in fox Lodge 4 , no 56. The hot tub is huge and very private. Definitely recommend.
Eric
Very relaxing, total disconnection, 100% recommended
ANDREW
Clean, tidy, very peaceful & relaxing, hot tub brilliant, staff on hand if needed, ticked all the boxes, will definitely book again next year.
Mark
Amazing trip booked for a third visit already.
Laura
This was the perfect getaway break we needed where we did not need to drive we just enjoyed the walks in and around the park. We found a nice pub for lunch and enjoyed the hot tub and relaxed the whole time. The only little thing which would have been nice if there was a tv in the bedroom as the sofa is not the comfiest for chilling out. But this is a very little thing! The lodge was clean and had everything you would need and the guy came round to show us how to use the hot tub within 20 mins of checking in. Was perfect defiantly coming back again.
Danny
Amazing customer service helpful staff and information booklet would definitely be going again
Caroline
We stayed for a week mid July and it was absolutely perfect. Very idyllic setting in the woods, 1 mile walk from a great pub nearby, lovely dog walks and four miles from Alton Towers. Was so relaxing ending each day with a hot tub. The staff were all very friendly and our son enjoyed the little play park on site. Great holiday!
Ellis
Loved it here. So quiet, secluded and private. The road could do with levelling out lol. We had no privacy issues with the hot tub and it made our stay amazing. Couch wasn’t that comfortable though haha
Georgina
The hot tub is amazing! Stays hot for ages and has great lights and jets. The lodge itself is clean and equipped with everything you need, including milk, shampoo, towels and all utensils and pans. The location is lovely, in the middle of nowhere yes but just what we wanted and takeaways still deliver to reception. There's no signal so paying for wifi is a must - £18 for 4 days for multiple devices which I thought was reasonable. Staff also really lovely and welcoming. Would definitely return!
