We had such a lovely stay! The cottage itself was charming and super peaceful, perfect for unwinding. The views of the farm were stunning and we loved spotting the horses. The owners were really friendly and made us feel right at home. Definitely a spot wed return to for a quiet getaway!

We had an amazing stay! The owners are genuinely lovely and go out of their way to help, which made everything so smooth. The cottage itself is just charming-really cosy with a lovely warm shower and a comfy bed that we didnt want to leave. Parking right outside was super handy and the place was spotless. We enjoyed peaceful walks across the fields to Thaxted, with its pretty half-timbered houses and windmill. Would definitely recommend!

We just spent a week at Goddards Mead and honestly, it was lovely! The cottage had everything we needed and the hosts were genuinely warm and friendly. Even being on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful escape, which we really appreciated.

We had such a lovely stay! Sharon and Robert were wonderful hosts, making us feel right at home. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and felt secure for Archie, which was really important for us. The location couldnt have been better - loads of great walks nearby and plenty of charming villages like Thaxted to explore. Honestly, we left feeling refreshed and relaxed, definitely a break we needed!

We stayed here for a week in July with our two adorable mini dachshunds and honestly, it was lovely. The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was definitely the highlight-especially since we hit those record-breaking hot days, so having a cool soak was just perfect. The hosts were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made us feel at home. It was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields every day too. Yes, its near the flight path at Stansted, but honestly, we enjoyed watching the planes come in. Would happily recommend!

We just got back from a great four-night stay at this cottage and honestly, we loved it! The owners were super friendly and helpful without being overbearing, which we appreciated. The fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed and the hot tub was amazing after a long day. We just got back from a four-night stay at this lovely cottage and had a really great time. The owners were super friendly but never intrusive, which we appreciated. Fittings a little dated but suited the wood effect., new kitchen and neutral walls. Carpet perhaps not the best so recommend slippers of some sort. Hot tub and sauna were excellent.

We had a fantastic weekend here! The place was perfect for what we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. The garden was great for the dogs and they had a blast with the underfloor heating-Luna even came home with a strained tail from wagging so much! Weve stayed here a few times now and keep coming back. The whole process from check-in to check-out is so smooth, which we really appreciate. The lodges are spotless and well-equipped for self-catering, making everything easy. We love that the hot tubs are enclosed - perfect for privacy and letting the dogs roam freely without worries. Plus, the fact that dogs are welcome is a huge bonus. Prices are fair too and the beds are super comfy. The staff are always friendly and helpful!

We had such a lovely weekend here! The place really ticked all the boxes for us and were already planning to return. The garden was perfect for the pups and the underfloor heating kept them cosy during chilly evenings. Lunas wagging tail caused her a bit of a strain, but honestly, everyone was so happy. Great spot, definitely recommend!

We spent a week here in mid-July with our two tiny dachshunds and they loved every minute, making friends in the lovely village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really charming, especially the hot tub-perfect for the hot weather, as the water was nice and cool, quite refreshing! The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, it was nice to see their dogs being taken for walks in the fields each day. While we're near Stansteds flight path, we actually enjoyed watching the planes come in. Definitely a place we'd recommend!

The lodge wasnt quite what we expected. The pictures showed a gas hob and double oven, but ours had an induction hob and just a single oven. The pots werent suitable for induction and it wasnt very clean apart from the obvious surfaces and bedding. Bit disappointing, really.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cosy little cottage. Its surprisingly well equipped - we didnt need to bring much at all! The welcome pack was really handy, with all the info about the place and local menus, which showed how much thought went into it. Our dogs had a fantastic time in the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just the cherry on top. Sharon and Robe were quick to reply if we had questions and we appreciated the little extras for us and the pups. Definitely a lovely break!

The cottage is utterly charming, with its traditional half-timbered look and a lovely cosy feel inside. The shower was powerful and the bed super comfy. Parking right next to the cottage was a real bonus and everything was spotless. We enjoyed peaceful walks across the fields to Thaxted, which is full of quaint houses and a windmill. A fantastic place to unwind!

We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm, which actually felt quite peaceful and private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely people who made us feel welcome. The place itself is really spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfy bed - slept like a dream! The gardens perfect for dogs, totally private and with nice furniture. Plenty of walks nearby and we enjoyed dining out at The Star and The Maypole in Thaxted. Definitely recommend it!
