Gwalia Falls

Gwalia Falls enjoys an enviable position on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful sandy Tresaith Beach. Less than 3 minutes walk from the sea this park is a paradise for nature lovers at all times of the year and is popular with families during the summer months.

The beach here has some of the safest and cleanest waters in west Wales making it ideal for families with children who will love splashing in the waves and building sandcastles. The beach also has its very own 100ft waterfall.  Ceredigion coastal path which surrounds the lodges is perfect for walking and cycling and there are plenty of other things to do in the area including sailing, fishing and golf.

Accommodation at Gwalia Falls includes apartments, lodges and a cottage. The apartments are perfect for larger families or groups as they sleep up to six people. Beachview Apartments A and B are located in a former sea captains residence and have one double and two twin bedrooms with stunning views. If you prefer lodge accommodation then you will not be disappointed here. The lodges are large and airy and we especially like Waterfall Lodge 2 which sleeps four and Cascade Lodge 3 which has three bedrooms and sleeps 6.

Brilliant time in cliffhanger 2 lodge. Other lodges on site close together which is a shame as it used to be less packed in with more privacy. Stunning views are the reason I stay and the sightseeing close by.

Date of stay: 6th August 2016
A superb cottage which is ideally situated on a clean and quiet holiday park. While it doesn't have the seaview afforded to other lodges on site it does stand next to a lovely stream at the foot of picturesque hill which itself leads to Penbryn. Staff were very friendly and attentive when called upon but not obtrusive. Tresaith beach is a five minute walk away. Cottage is fantastic. Great facilities, warm and inviting. Great for small family or a couple. It has two patio areas one next to stream with a great BBQ. Can't recommend enough. One of the best holidays we've had. I understand owner may extend cottage and while I personally don't think it needs it, it will at least offer capacity for a larger family. Good value for money at current price and would certainly return to site and cottage.
Katy, Orpington

The old mill was very clean and comfortable nice outdoor area with barbecue next to the stream very chilled nicely laid out peaceful site. Beach and nearby Ship Inn fantastic all within easy walk. Would hope to be back at some time in the future. My 9 year old daughter said it was the best holiday she has ever had and that's with no kids club and play area back to basics family holiday with something for all and fond memories ( nice weather did help!) .

Expectations were exceeded. Lodge was spacious, well equipped, warm and comfortable, clean and well maintained. The owner was caring, welcoming and suitably attentive. The site overall was well constructed and clearly a lot of attention and experience has been put into the business. We, as a family, would stay here again without hesitation.

The 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Oyster Bay Lodge that we stayed in was of a very high standard and had everything you needed for a self-catering holiday away from it all. The kitchen was fully kitted out and the whole place was very comfortable to stay in with efficient central heating when you needed it too. It was modern and clean. Fantastic value for money with wifi included too.

Date of stay: 24th July 2015
Lovely accommodation in magnificent location - even if you didn't want to go to the beach the garden was beautifully landscaped and a pleasure to relax in.

Because the accommodation sleeps 6 it would be better if they had 2 toilets.
Bedroom drawers and cupboards dusty and quite a lot of 'spiders'.

This is not a criticsm just an observation for the owners for the future.

We all enjoyed it very much and were nicely surprised when we arrived at the venue and would definitely stay there again. The whole park looked very upmarket.

Date of stay: 10th April 2015
What an amazing place. This is definitely a break from it all and a wonderful location. The views are fantastic and the accommodation was superb.

Also, when we mentioned about some noisy neighbours (above us) they showed us around other accommodation and said we can have another one. Great customer service.

Best thing for me was the view and being able to have breakfast and our evening meal outside watching the sun go down as well as the sound of the sea.

Will definitely be going back!

Also, the beach was a two minute walk down the hill with a pub on the way!
Joanne, Wimborne
Date of stay: 10th April 2015
A fantastic spot, more than enough for a quiet break, beautiful scenery, lovely unspoilt seaside villages and blissful weather for April, even saw 4 dolphins swimming just off Tresaith beach. The walk over the cliff tops to Aberporthwas just far enough, slightly strenuous in one or two places but lovely views.

An exceptional lodge, probably the best accomodation we've ever stayed in. Worth the extra money compared to some of the other lodges for the view alone. Nice touches such as the Blu-Ray player and a selection of games/puzzles to play.

The lodge was a very high standard and the area is beautiful. Our children love the beach and fortunately we had good weather so were able to occupy them easily. Had the weather been bad there is very little to do on the park and in the immediate area so things may have been more difficult.
We did not have a 'welcome pack' in the lodge to tell us about the park, the area or the lodge so had to guess some information.
However the staff in reception were very helpful when we forgot something and I am very grateful for their excellent customer service in this instance.
I probably wouldn't stay again as there was not quite enough for our kids to do but I did recommend the park to my parents who would love the tranquility and beautiful sea view.

We stayed at Cliffhanger Lodge and would highly recommend it. Lovely, plush comfortable furnishings and the large balcony with the outstanding far reaching views of the sea, beach and hills made the holiday spectacular. A very peaceful retreat.

We were told we were the first to stay in this lodge....a few fittings need tweeking....kitchen overhead cupboards dont stay open when lifted (screws need tightening). Bath fills very slow however show flow/pressure was amazing. Fire didnt work but we didnt need it so no problem there. The lodge was perfectly clean and presented very well, free wifi, sea view for all lodges....lovely. i would go back and recomend to friends. They even provided a high chair and travel cot for free....lovely people. Thanks for a great holiday/honneymoon.

Date of stay: 5th July 2014
The lodge was spotlessly clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly wish for and very good quality which was a real bonus. Loved the large outside deck space, incredible view, simply stunning with the added bonus of seeing the dolphins swim past us not once but twice. Am quite a discerning customer and in my opinion this obviously loved holiday home beats any 5 star hotel hands down. Truly truly a wonderful place to relax and recharge your batteries. Loved it. Would I go back there again? How about tomorrow!! :)

Trevor
Fantastic location and great base for days out. The lodge was first class, spacious and absolutely beautiful, great kitchen, gorgeous furnishings, lovely decking with furniture, and glimpses of the sea. Nearest supermarket is approx 6 miles away in Cardigan. There is a friendly pub about 200m down a steep hill just set back from the beach. It is very quiet here as there are no facilities so it makes for a very relaxing and tranquil holiday which is not for everyone.......but it was perfect for us. Thank you Oyster Bay Lodge, we will shall return........
Babs
Stunning views from cliffhanger lodge. The cliffhanger lodges have the best views as all other lodges are behind other lodges so have a less impressive view. The accomodation is very clean and tidy with all that one needs including wifi. Expensive especially in school holiday time and site is very quiet with nothing on it except the lodges. Perfect adult get away. Village has pub and beach. Pub can get very busy but good food and views.
John
The lodge was perfect for us, and very comfortable and well equipped, with fantastic views, we loved it.
Judith
Amazing lodge, lovely location, great beaches nearby and really helpful and accomodating staff! Will definitely be back!
