Date of stay: 27th December 2016
Generally we were very happy with the location and standard of accommodation, our only comment would be about the poor standard of of the taps in the bathroom, bedrooms and kitchen and that some electrical points needed updating. In fairness we discussed these matters with the Staff and was told that the standard of all chalets was currently being improved and all these items will shortly be updated.
Jenny, Bristol

Amanda, Kent
Date of stay: 10th September 2016
Great to have a dishwasher - who wants to spend their hols doing the dishes. But, with only four of everything - cups, knives, forks, spoons, plates, etc, it meant that once breakfast was over we needed to run the machine or wash-up by hand if we wanted a drink!
Donna, Narberth
Date of stay: 6th August 2016
Fantastic lodge very spacious. Only thing was maybe a slightly bigger fridge freezer would be good, but a fantastic accommodation.
Nathan, Bracknell

WOODPECKER LODGE; not Otter-Mill-

My partner and I loved our stay in Woodpecker Lodge! It was very clean, well presented and in such a beautiful, peaceful location. It was a perfect break for relaxation and serenity.
We received a phone call earlier in the morning of arrival, letting us know we had been upgraded to another lodge (woodpecker) - we were astounded with the great amount of room in the lodge there was. The only downfall was that we didn't have a bath; I really could have done with a bath bomb bath!

I would definitely go again! I would reccomend it to anyone!
Elizabeth, Ashford, Kent
Date of stay: 24th May 2016
Plenty of room. Only complaint was shortage of saucepans with matching lids.
Annette, Morden
Date of stay: 27th April 2016
Very quiet, peaceful location.
We didn't use the fishing lake, although it did look good.
The hot tub is amazing...we had plenty of room in there as there was only two of us...it could easily accommodate 8!
You do need a car to be able to get around the local area though. Kentisbeare vilage is approxx 1.5 miles down a country lane, which is very dark at night.
There is a lovely country pub there, serving great home cooked meals.
Recommended if you want a secluded break.

Date of stay: 15th February 2016
A member of staff met us on arrival and went through all the details of where things were and how to work the heating/hot tub etc which was great. The lodge was clean and tidy and warm and the cot and highchair we booked were ready and waiting for us. This is the second time we have stayed on this site and were again impressed with how clean and tidy everything is. The surroundings really are peaceful and with limited mobile phone signal it makes for a very relaxing holiday.

Date of stay: 29th October 2015
Really nice site and lodge, we really enjoyed our stay. It was a good size for what we wanted, comfortable, warm and clean. The hot tub was outstanding. The only down point for us was that we could not dead-lock the door and windows, but that is a problem for us wherever we go because our son has autism and tends to get out when we'd rather he didn't. But the layout of the lodge made it easy to keep a close eye on him. Would definitely visit again, and choose the same accommodation, we had a really nice stay.
Al, Somerset
Date of stay: 28th September 2015
The Lodge itself was perfect. It absolutely met all our expectations plus it was comfortable and warm in the evenings. The heating, if required at later times of the year, is simple to operate.

This was our third visit in 6 months. Absolutely love it there and can’t wait to go back again. We’ve stayed in Foxey and Woodpecker lodges and they are both fantastic. Staff are friendly and helpful and the fishing is great too.

Beautiful place. Very quiet and relaxing and very good value for money.
Emma
We had a fantastic few days away at the lakes what a beautiful place. So quiet and peaceful and away from everything. The lodges are lovely spacious, have everything you could need and south facing so catch every bit of sun. The hot tub was an added bonus and we would definitely go back.
Danielle
Was an amazing holiday, enjoyed the fishing lakes and the owners were very politie and helpful! Not a lot round but didn’t need it with using fishing lakes all day! Would go back!
Nicola
Excellent holiday beautiful location
Megan
Great place but we did get it very cheap. Rooms/lamps etc a little bit dusty so wouldn’t have been overly pleased with cleanliness if we had paid what others are seeming to have paid
Chelsie
Fab stay at Goodiford Mill. Lodge equipped with everything needed.. One thing was that they didnt have any handwash in the bathroom. We would definately stay again and I would recommend it. Local pub close by and just down the road (by car) from a little town with food options and a tesco.
Lucy
We stayed in Badger lodge, It was clean, cosy and comfortable. My husband spent time fishing whilst the kids and myself spent time relaxing and making use of the hot tub. It is a beautiful relaxing setting. We would love to go back one day, we had a fab weekend.
Joanne
We stayed February half term and had a wonderful time. The lodge was clean, warm, spacious and was well equipped. The hot tub was wonderful and we used it every morning and evening. There are two country pubs close by, one you could walk to the other you would need to take the car but its three minutes up the road.
