The park has an outdoor swimming pool, a large hot tub and a games room. You'll also be able to enjoy the activities and leisure facilities at Oakdene Forest, just a mile or so away. Bournemouth has an excellent choice of restaurants and pubs - Coriander is a lively Mexican restaurant with a great party atmosphere.

Forest Durlston is a good choice of caravan for a party of four - it's 12 foot wide and has a double and a twin bedroom, central heating and a well equipped kitchen. All the caravans are double glazed and have TVs.

We had a lovely weekend, the caravan was very clean and the heating kept us nice and warm in a chilly February.
We used the facilities on the nearby Oakdene park.
Only downside was the road noise but we were aware of it before we arrived.

Date of stay: 22nd September 2017
We were very comfortable. There is ample room to move about in all the rooms - even the double bedroom, which has its own en suite bathroom. The bed is very comfortable and there is plenty of storage space.
Cooking is easy in the kitchen. The oven, microwave and fridge are all very convenient and easy to use.
The caravan is light and airy - but warms up very quickly, if you switch the heating on.
Alison, Uxbridge

Date of stay: 12th September 2014
we enjoyed a peaceful but good holiday - glad we didnt back onto the A31 though. Ideal situation for this time of year. Visited a wide area from Bournmouth, isle of Wight to Brighton.

Could well come back.
John, Redditch,worcs
Date of stay: 12th September 2014
pull out bed in lounge was dirty behind it and was broken, it was serviceable and only being used for 2 nights so did not feel the need to complain. Cooker although a high end in value did not live up to expectation and garden could have been better maintained. Noise from main road was dreadful and Tuesday nights were especially noisy with motorbikes roaring up and down the road at great speed (probably "Bike Night" in Poole)
Gillian, Uxbridge
Date of stay: 25th August 2014
Staff were lovely, site was small but that's what we prefer.

Very nice but it helped being able to use Oakdenes swimming pools
Cathy, Rochester Kent
Date of stay: 23rd June 2014
not enough facilities on site. Pool only open on weekends and Oakdene entertainment was poor with nothing to do on Sundays as even the bar and club were closed.Ifeel entertainment should be good throughout the year not just in high season. The caravan was really lovely and spotlessly clean.
Stephen, Bedford
Date of stay: 19th May 2014
the park is great that the noise from the a31 especially motorbikes with a legal battles in there exhausts meant i would could not stay there a gain
Deborah, Romford
Date of stay: 14th April 2014
We were very disappointed with the position of our caravans being right next to a major A road which kept us all awake most of the night.
Also no where for our children to play ball games.
Imogen
The lodges are amazing and surrounding area is wonderful for exploring and beach walks. Use of the neighbouring parks pool is useful was but a bit of a trek along a rather muddy route. The play park and shop were not available on our visit so cannot comment on those, play park looked like it would be good when finished though. Would definitely stay here again.
Tracey
Lovely site with very helpful and friendly staff. I was greeted by steve upon my arrival who couldn't have been more helpful. When i left linda was at reception and she too was very helpful, she gave me lots of information on other sites that belong to the company. There was a problem with the electric on the first evening of our stay and the maintenance man arrived 5 minutes after I called him. He was also very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely visit Forest Edge again.
Ian
We didn't see any facilities but it was nice and quiet and the van was super clean and modern
Rebecca
We had a lovely weekend, the caravan was very clean and the heating kept us nice and warm in a chilly February. We used the facilities on the nearby Oakdene park. Only downside was the road noise but we were aware of it before we arrived.

Monkey World is not only a local attraction but the work they carry out is amazing.  Rescuing and rehabilitating monkeys and assisting governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates are just some of the purposes of the centre. You get to see the primates themselves many of which have become famous from appearing on the TV show Monkey World - a documentary about this place. Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.
