We had an amazing stay at the cottage! The location was perfect-so peaceful and relaxing, with stunning views of the surrounding farm. We loved seeing the horses and the owners were genuinely friendly and helpful, making us feel really welcome. Definitely a spot we'll return to for a quiet getaway!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was super cosy and well equipped, perfect for a rainy December day. The bath was a real treat and the shower was nice and spacious. The location is great - totally peaceful and ideal for dogs that hate fireworks, since it's in the middle of nowhere. Flight noise? Didnt even notice. Thanks so much for having us, wed definitely come back!

We had such a lovely weekend here! The place ticked all our boxes and we genuinely enjoyed every moment. Our dogs were especially happy with the underfloor heating and the garden - Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it! Honestly, were already planning our next visit. Its rare to find somewhere this perfect for both humans and pups!

We had such a lovely stay at this cottage! Its tucked away on a working farm, so it feels super private, but still peaceful. Robert and Sharon are really friendly and make you feel welcome. The place itself is huge, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom and the bed was really comfy after long walks. The garden is perfect for dogs, totally fenced and with nice furniture to chill out. There are loads of walks nearby and Thaxted has some good restaurants-The Star and The Maypole are our favourites. Wed definitely recommend it!

We had such a lovely stay at this charming cottage. The owners are genuinely warm and thoughtful, making us feel really welcome. The place is spotless and well-heated, with a cosy vibe that immediately put us at ease. The shower was powerful and the bed super comfy. Parking right next to the cottage was a real bonus! We enjoyed peaceful walks across the fields to Thaxted, which is just a short drive away with its beautiful half-timbered houses and windmill. Would definitely recommend!

Plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants like The Star and The Maypole are worth visiting. Wed definitely recommend it!

We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and were genuinely impressed. Rob and Sharon have done a wonderful job transforming this historic building with such care. They made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived, along with Bonnie, of course! The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering through charming villages like Thaxted. Definitely recommend taking your time to soak up the history and beautiful sights around here. Its a lovely spot for a relaxed break!

The owners are genuinely lovely and went above and beyond when the storm knocked out the power. The place was spotless, super cosy and our dog loved the secure garden while we relaxed in the hot tub. Lovely stay!

We stayed at this lovely spot and loved how peaceful and private it was. The owners are super friendly and always available if you need anything - yet they respect your space completely. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling, honestly! Only thing to note is that the cottage is quite close to Stansteds flight path, so aircraft noise is pretty noticeable at times. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, its worth keeping in mind. Overall, a great find!

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are super friendly and helpful without being overbearing, which we appreciated. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed, including a great hot tub and a barbecue we used one evening. We stayed at this charming cottage for a week in July with our two mini dachshunds and honestly, we had a lovely time. The village of Thaxted is adorable and perfect for dog walks and our girls made loads of new friends. The hot tub was such a treat, especially during the hot weather-cooling the water made it really refreshing. The hosts were super welcoming; it was nice to see them taking their dogs to the fields daily. Being close to Stansted's flight path was actually pretty interesting, watching the planes land. Wed definitely come back!

We stayed in this lovely house during a rainy December and it was perfect-super warm and cosy. The bath was fantastic and the shower was big enough to really enjoy. Even though its right under a flight path, we hardly noticed any noise, so dont let that put you off. Ideal spot for dogs scared of fireworks, totally peaceful. Thanks so much for having us!

We had a really lovely time! Sharon and Robert made us feel super welcome from the start, which was much appreciated. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for our dog Archie - he loved it! The location was just right, with loads of nice walks nearby and Thaxted along with the surrounding villages are such charming spots. Honestly, we left feeling completely refreshed and relaxed, it was just what we needed.
