Wow what a lovely place to stay, everything and everywhere was immaculate We stayed in a dog friendly lodge which was lovely but when we next stay were going to have a larger dog friendly lodge, as lovely as it was we would of preferred it a little bigger, but thats just our preference, the lodge was immaculate and the hot tub was bigger enough for two of us and lovely and clean and hotThe staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble, we asked what its like when its full and Mandy an amazing lady said we are, so if your looking for peace and quiet even when they are full trust me this is the perfect place to stay The local cafe which is in Masham is amazing its a little tea room The scenery is something else, not many shops but we went for the peacefulness I Cant recommend this retreat enough it was just beautiful including having the ducks visiting us every day We will be staying again very soon

We've very recently returned from Cedar Retreats - we had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Yorkshire. Its perfectly located for accessing so many places. The lodge was perfect for us (bedrooms at either end of the lodge and living area in the middle) - first time we've had a lodge in that layout but it really worked for us. Reluctant to tell you which lodge incase it's booked up next year, but it was lodge 19 that we had. The view we had was wonderful - over the fields at the back - lovely watching the sheep each morning. We also had an unexpected "lake" (aka flooded field!) to watch the wildlife and birds etc Hot tub was brilliant and nice and easy to access. The staff were all really pleasant and super helpful. One of our beds was squeaking - the lady on reception whizzed round with her screwdriver and tightened it all. Nothing was too much trouble. Couple of super minor points - a whisk would've been handy and some salt in the salt pot? Also the little stones from the driveway get trodden into the lodge - not sure how to prevent that...but it must annoying the cleaners! All in all it was a wonderful stay!

Enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful week. The lodge was spotless and clean and very well equipped with everything you could need, and the hot tub was a huge bonus. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and the cleaning team do an excellent job. We took our little dog with us and found the nature reserve at Nosterfield to be an ideal walk, plus it's literally just a two minute drive away. There's a small village shop about 10 minutes walk away, perfect for any bits and bobs you may have forgotten. We can't wait to come back again in Summer.

During our stay, we were only able to check into our accommodation after 4pm, we accepted this however, when we were shown the the lodge we unpacked and looked for any damages that we did not do, so we wouldn't get charge for, due to paying a security deposit. As we did this we found quite a few damages and wrote these down, but upon inspection, the surfaces were dusty and unclean, when pulling the duvet out of the edges of the bed there was a cloud of dust and the bathroom had the complementary products left in the shower. We were then asked to be checked out by 9:30am on our check out day. Which leaves them from 9:30am until after 4pm to clean and change the lodge, unfortunately we did not see this cleanliness. on a positive note they did clean and refill the hot tub, which made my partners skin red and itchy from the chemicals, which I was informed was better for the skin. Overall, a disappointing trip, due to the cleanliness of the lodge and damages already there. We informed the staff upon our departure, who was aware of the previous damages and when informed that the lodge was not to a clean standard, they replied with, you should of let us know, however they had from 9:30am until 4pm to ensure this was clean. We understand things can be hard to fix and maintain over the Christmas period and into the new year, however all the lodge needed was a wipe down of all the areas and would of been perfect.

Great lodge ,nice and comfy, clean and tidy , hot tub was ideal , cleaned every morning ,nice and quiet site , great little break away Couple of minor things to mention No lights around site , so walking the dog at 9 o clock on a night was a bit sketchy when you couldnt see a great deal , no mop to clean up muddy paw prints or hot tub feet prints , no cork screw for bottles on New Years Eve lol

Lovely luxurious holiday that was faultless. The attention to detail was amazing in every aspect of the lodge including the private hot tub. We found the lodge park easily and received a very warm welcome on arrival. It is in a perfect location to explore North Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. Hope to be back very soon.

We stayed for a weekend with our 9 and 6 year olds. The lodge was beautiful, modern and immaculate. We had a bit of trouble with the WiFi but they sent someone straight out and it was something we were doing wrong, so our fault completely. The setting is lovely, with the lodges all around a small lake. Theres nothing there so not great for all kids, but ours loved it still. The hot tubs make the difference, this was where we spent most of our time on an evening. All of the appliances were easy to use, the microwave, oven, dishwasher etc and the tv had all the freeview channels plus Netflix, so great for the kids. The management were very helpful and always at the end of a phone for any help. Theres also a lovely little village near by within 5 - 10 minutes walk, with a lovely pub by the river which did great food. We absolutely loved our stay there and would love to go back. The only score we marked lower than 10 was value for money. Although the place was lovely we felt it was overpriced. Considering there are no facilities at all we just thought that was a lot to pay. Hopefully it was just a price hike due to the foreign travel restrictions (I know a lot of places have done this) and it will be a more realistic price next year.
We will definitely look at coming back if the prices arent quite as high next time.

The lodge was lovely and clean. This is good as I have 2 girls that are terrified of spiders! The beds are lovely and comfortable with nice cosy duvets. The pillows were a bit hard for me, I prefer softer ones but thats my personal choice. One suggestion might be to have flat sheets available in the summer time as it can get very hot under a duvet.
The kitchen was very clean and had everything we needed - the knives could do with being sharpened though!

If your after a relaxing holiday this is the place to go. Spent a fantastic week in lodge 15. Really private and quiet. Loved sitting out the back watching the cows and geese. Park setting is safe, kids enjoyed riding round on their bikes. Lovely little lake in the middle. Lodge is kitted out to a high standard and the hot tub was great. Friendly staff. Surrounding are is beautiful, again really quiet. Enjoyed bike rides on the quiet roads. Nature reserve also within walking distance. Had a nice meal at the local pub next to the river.
