Just came back from 3 nights in the Yorkshire Lodge and was great! Lodge was huge & was well equipped- wifi (which was sightly temprental) but a tv that has wired Internet connection so could use Netflix, YouTube etc, DVD player with loads of dvds in tv stand which was a nice touch plus a selection of books, board games and jigsaws. Kitchen is huge & well equipped and you even get coffee, tea, sugar and hot chocolate included. It has iron, ironing board, clothes airer, hoover, dishwasher (with tablets but we didnt use) , tea towels, oven gloves, cleaning cloths, dog treats, poo bags, washing up liquid, towels, hand wash & even a floor fan which was needed as it was hot this week???? . Loved the hot tub! Site is so peaceful with a small kids park, swing ball, football goals, volleyball net, woodland walks and a lovely pond with waterfall. We will definitely come back and would recommend. Our family and dog had a lovely, peaceful break!

Lovely clean lodges and very peaceful. There arent loads of lodges on the site so it feels relaxed and not over crowded. Plenty of provisions in the lodge and hot tub all working and lovely! We went to Richmond for the day which is lovely and if you get chance the station cafe and the royal India restaurant were both beautiful! Only thing I will say is bring fly spray if you come in summer as when you are cooking and have doors open etc there are plenty of bug friends! But didnt spoil our holiday in anyway!

Lovely clean and tidy spacious accommodation for the two of us and our two dogs. The dogs loved to lie on the decking which was all fenced in and secure. Well spaced out from other lodges so very private and very quiet - just what we were looking for!

Some bits of the lodge (behind sofas) dusty, however other than that, clean! Good review for comfort as the beds were all described as comfortable however the sofa bed unfortunately wasnt. Facilities such as the hot tub/bath/shower/toilets and kitchen all fine and working well. Thanks again for a lovely stay

I've just said that this lodge is old and needs money spending on it. Kitchen cutlery very poor condition.Fridge had no shelves in the door.Bath taps don't work at all.Bottom lock on patio door broken so not secure. I booked this property and paid full price .not happy at all and would not visit again Very disappointed. It was clean but needs updating.

We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and were genuinely impressed. The owners, Rob and Sharon, have put so much care into converting this historic building and it shows. They greeted us warmly, along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The location is fantastic-perfect for exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages. We loved wandering around and soaking up the history and charming architecture. Definitely a place wed visit again!

We had a great stay at this lovely cottage nestled on a working farm, yet it feels surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely and welcoming. The place is super spacious, with everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was so comfy, we slept like logs! The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and well-furnished. Plenty of scenic walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants, especially The Star and The Maypole, are worth checking out. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic week at this charming place from 15 to 22 July with our two mini daschund girls. They loved making friends in the lovely village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really cosy and the hot tub was a real treat, especially during the scorching days when it was cool enough to be so refreshing. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming and it was nice to see their dogs being taken to the fields each day. Being near Stansteds flight path was interesting, watching the planes land was quite a sight! Wed definitely recommend it.

The perfect place for peace, tranquility and family time. Lancashire Lodge is i'd say one of the most private lodges with a huge field just behind if you have dogs. The hot tub under the stars was a special experience! Sofa bed was massive so easily fit 6 people with an extra sofa and chair too.Loved everything about it
