The caravan wasnt quite like the brochure suggested and getting around the bed was a nightmare. But the staff at Park Holidays really went out of their way to help us upgrade to a fantastic lodge, which made all the difference. Brilliant service!

We never actually ate there, so cant really rate the place. But I did think the prices seemed quite high, honestly.

We had a pretty good time at Bowl and Fell Park overall. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the site itself was kept clean, which we really appreciated. That said, there are a few things worth mentioning. When we arrived, the mugs in the caravan hadnt been washed properly - they were just tipped upside down and put back in the cupboard. When I grabbed one, it was dripping with tea or coffee and had made a mess inside the cupboard. I ended up washing all the crockery and utensils myself, which was a bit of a pain, though the rest of the caravan was spotless, so maybe just an oversight. One thing that did seem a bit stingy was only having one tea-towel for a family of four. We had to ask at the pub for more towels, which was a bit annoying. Also, theres no airer to dry clothes outside, which is odd since theres a laundrette on-site, but not everything can go in the tumble-dryer. The colander in the kitchen is actually a sieve, so draining anything was a bit tricky - we just bought a proper one from the shop in Skipton, which sorted that out. We were excited to try out the pool table, but that was a bit of a let-down. The balls didnt come out when we paid and with reception closing at 5pm, we couldnt get it sorted then. We tried again the next evening and it was working, but sadly the table itself is too small for proper play. The cues dont extend enough, so it was pretty much pointless. Considering the price they charge for such a tiny pool table, we reckon youre better off heading to Skipton leisure centre - honestly, its a bit laughable. The farm shop was lovely and we had a really nice roast in Pipers restaurant on the Sunday before leaving. Only thing was, they were a bit stingy on the veg - we asked for two platters because one wasnt enough for four of us plus two teenage boys! But overall, these were just minor niggles. We genuinely enjoyed our stay in the forest and Malham Cove is definitely worth a visit!

We stayed in a pet-friendly caravan recently and honestly had no worries about cleanliness or smells, which was a relief! The site itself was spotless and well-kept. Weve usually done cottages before, but this place was just as comfy and felt like good value. The surrounding countryside is truly breathtaking, making for some great photos. We took day trips to Morecambe and Lancaster and the views along the way were absolutely stunning. If were ever back in Yorkshire, well definitely stay here again!
