We stayed at this lovely cottage recently and honestly, it was a wonderful experience. The owners are genuinely warm and super helpful, making us feel right at home. The place itself is adorable, with that charming half-timbered look and a cosy vibe. The shower was powerful and the bed was so comfy! Plus, parking right outside was a real bonus. Perfect spot for walks to Thaxted and exploring nearby villages-definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The rural setting was so peaceful and the courtyard with the hot tub really made it special. Perfect spot for relaxing country walks too.

We really needed a dog walking getaway and this place hit the spot. Lovely accommodation, close to pubs and eateries and endless fields for off-road adventures. The dog loved it so much, didnt want to leave!

We had a fantastic weekend here! The place was just perfect for what we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. Our dogs had a blast, especially with the underfloor heating-such a hit! The garden kept them busy and Luna wagged her tail so much she strained it, but alls well. Well definitely be coming back soon!

We stayed at Goddard's Mead and were really impressed. Rob and Sharon put so much effort into beautifully restoring the historic building and they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived-shout out to Bonnie too! The place has everything you need for a comfy, relaxing break. The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering around pretty villages like Thaxted and discovering their charming history and architecture. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm and honestly, its so private and peaceful. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are really friendly and welcoming. The place is surprisingly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that made us feel right at home. The garden is perfect for dogs, completely secluded and with nice furniture to relax on. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants, especially The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!
