Visitor Reviews of Ribblesdale Lodges

Vicky Thomson
This site felt very friendly due to the small size and we could let the kids play out without having to watch them all the time. The lodge was really nice and the hot tub was just the icing on the cake. Highly recommended.

The garden is fantastic and secure, perfect for our dogs to play freely. However, bedroom storage is a bit lacking, which was a small hassle. Overall, a lovely place with some minor storage issues. Would recommend!

Excellent lodge with everything you need. Stayed in over 20 lodges previously and this was one of the best. Beautiful but Cosy and homely as well.

The lounge could definitely do with a few more lamps and each bedroom needs a dressing table.

Could have done with extra lamps in the lounge and also dressing table in each bedroom

We absolutely loved Deer Park Cottage at Ribblesdale Park! Tucked away in the gorgeous Yorkshire Dales, its the perfect spot for a peaceful escape. The place is beautifully designed, super cosy inside and the kitchen has everything we needed. The hot tub was a real treat after long walks, which are so easy to access from the cottage. The views are just stunning and the staff made us feel really welcome. Whether its a romantic break or just some time to relax, this place really hits the mark. Well definitely be coming back!

All the staff made us feel welcomed, special thanks to Ian for bringing our dog some treats. Food was 10/10 can not fault the breakfast same with evenings. Looking forward to returning next year - thanks all!

Weve now been here five times and every stay just gets better. Knightley Lodge was spot on for us-beautiful views and all the essentials. The staff are always friendly, especially Ian, who went out of his way to bring treats for our dog. The food is consistently excellent, both breakfast and dinner. Cant wait to come back next year. Thanks to everyone!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, especially the fantastic location and the spacious, spotless accommodation. It had everything we needed for self-catering and the champagne on arrival was a lovely surprise! We also had a nice meal at Hindelinis, which was a nice touch. However, we were a bit disappointed with the happy hour deal - didnt quite get the buy one get one free as advertised. The lounge wasnt very comfy either; the two-seater sofa was a bit too small and there was no table for drinks, which was a bit of a pain. The bed was quite hard and the pillows felt more like bricks, so I bought some replacements and slept much better after that. Still, these minor issues didnt spoil our stay - we loved the peacocks, kittens and deer that came to visit us at the lodge gate! The gardens and meadow views were stunning and the grounds are beautifully maintained. Overall, a lovely experience!

We loved the location of the lodge and the lodge itself was spacious and clean. We had everything we needed to self cater and the champagne on arrival was a lovely touch. We had a very nice meal at Hindelinis. However we went up for happy hour and did not get the buy one get one free as advertised. The lounge in the lodge did not lend itself to comfort the two seater sofa was too small and there was no table to put drinks on . The bed was very hard and the pillows were like bricks , I went and bought some pillows and we did get a better sleep after that. These issues did not detract from our stay as peacocks, kittens and deer came to visit us at the lodge gate. The views of the gardens and the meadow were beautiful and the grounds are so well kept. Overall we had a lovely stay

We had a pretty good stay as a family of five, including our little 20-month-old and the dog. The lodge was surprisingly spacious, which was a bonus, though the furniture looked a bit tired. The washing machine was a handy addition, especially with a toddler around. The hot water was a bit flaky at times, which was a bit annoying. The outdoor decking and fencing definitely need a proper deep clean and some TLC, but the hot tub was fantastic - kept at the right temperature the whole time! The outdoor seating at the pub was lovely, perfect for relaxing. Staff seemed quite busy, so we missed out on the happy hour deal and werent told which drinks were included, which was a shame since we spent quite a bit of time there. The park could do with more facilities for toddlers, but overall, wed still recommend a visit!

Ribblesdale Park is such a stunning place, honestly! We stayed in a Morl and Lodge that comfortably fit four adults and two little ones. When we arrived, we were told the lodge was all set - heating on and the hot tub ready to go. But when we got inside, the heating was off and all the fuses were switched off, which was a bit of a surprise. The hot tub was only at 20 degrees and took until the next night to warm up properly. The bed in the smaller double was pretty uncomfortable, creaky and you could feel every spring. Still, overall, we enjoyed our stay and the beautiful surroundings made up for those small issues!

Date of stay: 9th December 2023
Weve stayed here three times now and honestly, we love the place. Its got such a cosy vibe and were already planning to come back. That said, there are a few small issues that need sorting - like a loose door handle in the main bedroom and some dodgy light switches near the bed that dont work. The small double room has a plug socket thats a bit loose too. We also struggled a bit with the dishwasher tablet drawer; it doesnt shut properly. A side table in the main room would be handy and for my mums limited mobility, a rail outside on the steps would be a lifesaver. We know these things can get missed in quick turnarounds, but just wanted to flag them. Still, we love it and will be back!

We had a really lovely stay at Bront Lodge. The place was spotless and very comfy, with everything we needed to cook for ourselves. The garden was a big plus, completely enclosed for the dogs, which was great. Its so peaceful at night, perfect for a good sleep. The hot tub was spotless and well looked after too. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful location tucked away. Shalets were spacious and comfortable. Hot tub was great. A bit rainy!
Louise
Loved this holiday, what’s not to like? a gorgeous location, lovely lodge, staff great and a happy hour on drinks!
Andrea
Beautiful lodges in a tranquil setting. Hot tub was great. The only negative was it was quite a walk to the swimming pool from the lodge so we gave that a miss. But overall fantastic weekend with the girls
Kathryn
Beautiful lodges in a beautiful setting. Had a wonderful time.
Kerry
Wonderful place , we would definitely return ?
Alan
Really good. Weather is critical but the heated pool helped when it was overcast and cool. The hot tub was excellent. The lodge was first class and outdoor area of the lodge was perfect. I felt I could have stayed longer just taking it easy. If I couldn't be bothered to cook, the restaurant would satisfy my needs. The staff were easy to talk to and made us feel special. Because the weather can vary, some information on local attraction would have a help. Advice on where to buy a paper ect would have been welcome if included in the welcoming notes.
Rachael
Beautiful location, cabin clean and spacious. However a few minor tweaks would have improved an already great stay. No shade outside and no umbrella for table provided. No plastic glasses as stated.
Jane
Beautiful setting and lodge was beautiful as well
Richard
Excellent high quality lodge, very clean and kept in good condition. Parkland setting was very nice with plenty of local walks.
Rachael
Had an absolutely fabulous week here. The lodge was beautiful, very clean and well equipped. The beds however are extremely uncomfortable and as I have multiple health issues I had to purchase mattress toppers to make it bearable! The hot tub is set a few degrees too warm and after a warm day was too hot to get in and the staff could not lower the temperature. Be aware the kettle is not electric it goes on the gas hob, so plan a cuppa in advance as it takes an age to boil hehehe. The surroundings are beautiful and there are very tame peacocks strolling around and the beautiful Fallow deer stags wander round the park. We hand fed them as they are so tame and friendly. This really made it special. The restaurant had a limited but good menu and the food was excellent. The park need to consider installing charging points for electric cars.
Di
A family holiday spent at Ribblesdale Park was wonderful. The lodge itself was beautiful and clean and the hot tub was much appreciated. The lodge was secure with fencing and a gate which was much appreciated with a small dog and a toddler! The surroundings were idyllic with peacocks and deer roaming the grounds. Although Gisburn itself is a quiet village, there is so much to do in the surrounding area all within a short drive from the Park. A great holiday, we will return.
