We stayed at this lovely cottage recently and honestly, it was a wonderful experience. The owners are genuinely warm and super helpful, making us feel right at home. The place itself is adorable, with that charming half-timbered look and a cosy vibe. The shower was powerful and the bed was so comfy! Plus, parking right outside was a real bonus. Perfect spot for walks to Thaxted and exploring nearby villages-definitely recommend!

Rob and Sharon put so much effort into beautifully restoring the historic building and they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived-shout out to Bonnie too! The place has everything you need for a comfy, relaxing break. The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering around pretty villages like Thaxted and discovering their charming history and architecture. Would definitely recommend!

The place is surprisingly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that made us feel right at home. The garden is perfect for dogs, completely secluded and with nice furniture to relax on. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants, especially The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!
