The cottage was a real find, tucked away on a working farm but surprisingly private. Robert and Sharon were lovely hosts, making us feel welcome from the start. The place itself is spacious and well equipped, especially the kitchen and bathroom - no complaints there! The bed was super comfy, which was much appreciated after long walks. The garden's perfect for dogs and totally secluded with nice furniture. We explored loads of nearby trails and loved having options for meals in Thaxted - The Star and The Maypole are great spots. Honestly, wed definitely recommend it!

We needed a break with the dog and honestly, it was just what we hoped for. The place was lovely and the location meant plenty of walks and good local pubs nearby. We didn't want to leave!

We had a fantastic weekend here, exactly what we were after. The place was perfect and were already planning to return! The pups were over the moon with the underfloor heating and the garden kept them busy for ages. Luna even came back with a strained tail, but the vet said its just from wagging so much! Everyone was really happy.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming spot! The setting is truly peaceful and quite private, perfect for relaxing. The owners were super friendly and always ready to help if needed, but they didn't intrude on our privacy at all. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day cycling - absolute bliss! One thing to note, though, is that the cottage is directly beneath Stansted's flight path, so there's quite a bit of noise from planes. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt ruin our holiday at all. Definitely recommend!

We spent a week here in July with our two miniature dachshunds and honestly, it was lovely. The village of Thaxted is charming and our dogs made plenty of new friends. The cottage itself is cosy with a really nice hot tub, which was perfect given the scorching weather-cooler water felt so good. The hosts were super friendly and it was nice to see them taking their dogs out to the fields each day. Being close to Stansteds flight path was pretty interesting too, watching the planes land. Wed definitely come back!

We had a lovely time staying in the Star Gazer! The swing chair was definitely our favourite spot to relax. A little privacy for the hot tub wouldve been nice though, as its pretty open. Also, the steps are a bit dodgy - could do with some fixing. Oh and fairy lights outside would really add a cosy touch. Overall, wed happily return - the staff were really lovely too!

We stayed at this lovely place during a rainy December and it was perfect. The house is super well equipped and really cosy, which was much appreciated. The bath was fantastic and the shower was a nice size. The location is peaceful, great for dogs who dislike fireworks and the fact that its on a flight path didnt bother us at all. Would definitely recommend!

They gave us such a warm welcome, along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The place is perfect for relaxing, with everything you need. The location is ideal too - exploring Thaxted and nearby villages is a must, so much history and charm around here!

We had a fantastic stay at this cosy cottage! The place is kept in great condition and is fully equipped, making everything easy. There are plenty of lovely walks right outside, perfect for the dogs. The host was super friendly and responsive and we loved meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig. Cant wait to return - such great value!
