Visitor Reviews of Stanwix Park

Date of stay: 6th March 2025
We had a really nice stay at Stanwix. Plenty of activities and good facilities, though the kids play area could use a facelift. Overall, very well looked after!

Stanwix is an excellent independent holiday park. Lots of entertainment, great facilities. The kids park could do with an upgrade, but otherwise everything is lovely and well maintained.

The caravan was lovely overall, but the ensuite felt a tad cramped compared to others we've used before. Cooker needs an extra shelf, definitely.

The caravan was really clean, which we appreciated a lot. Were always a bit cautious about letting our hypoallergenic dog stay, but it was spotless-no weird smells or hairs anywhere. Making up the beds was easy since linen was provided. Overall, a great stay, will come back!

Caravan was spotless. I worry when we go for let friendly. Our wee dog is hypoallergenic but I always worry the van may smell as if a digs been there or hairs on furniture. It was spotless. Had to make own beds up but that was fine as linen provided.

The platinum caravans seem a bit old-fashioned and adding decking would be a bonus.
Alex
Date of stay: 21st August 2024
Really good value, though the caravan looked a bit worn.

Its a lovely caravan, but honestly, Id rather have a proper dining table and chairs. Bench seats are a bit of a letdown!

The place had a few small scuffs here and there, but overall it was fine. The pull-out beds werent the comfiest, but it didnt ruin the week.

Some minor scuffs in places , the pull out beds not very comfortable to sleep on but wasnt a problem for the week

We loved the caravan, it was spotlessly clean and had all the essentials. The free WiFi was a real bonus! We did have a minor problem with the boiler, but it was fixed really quickly-within ten minutes of telling them. The only thing was the bathroom felt a bit cramped, but honestly, most caravans are like that. Well definitely come back!

We've been visiting Stanwix Park for quite a few years now and honestly, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. The cafe used to serve a lovely steak meal, but now its mostly just burgers and chips, which is a shame. We really think having a proper sit-down restaurant on-site would make such a difference, especially for families wanting a nice meal together. We also tried to grab breakfast, but sadly, they no longer do it, which is disappointing. The hotdog st and is a nice touch, but a proper restaurant would be much better. Our caravan this year was a bit of a let-down too-the curtains were pretty grubby and the sofa was super uncomfortable to sit on. Still, we enjoy the park overall, just some things could be improved!

The place is spotless and nice, but the limited food choices after the cafe shuts is a bit annoying, considering the entrance fee. Still, fun!

We spent a lovely three days here, despite a few covid restrictions, which didnt spoil the experience. The indoor pool and spa were really impressive and the town looked charming, even though we only drove through. Would definitely recommend for a short stay!
