Date of stay: 6th April 2018
The lodge was very well equipped. The only thing missing was an ice tray which would have been useful for drinks. Otherwise the lodge had everything we needed. Didn't use the restaurant as we ate out most days.

Date of stay: 2nd April 2018
Very comfortable, homely spacious lodge.
The upkeep of the park and gardens is great. Very clean, tidy outside areas.
Just what we needed for a nice Easter break away.
Dawn, Barnsley
Date of stay: 31st March 2018
The lodge itself was very clean and well presented but the cooking facilities were lacking. No instructions were available for the use of equipment (cooker, microwave, washer). It is the first time we have ever stayed in a lodge with no dvd or cd player but that's probably because you could pay £3 per time to watch their selection of films, no new releases, and the t.v was obviously run from reception as the lip sync was atrocious.
Suzanne, Poole, Dorset
Date of stay: 30th March 2018
Best park we have stayed on by far

Paul, Sandhurst
Date of stay: 23rd March 2018
A lovely lodge
Linda
Date of stay: 23rd March 2018
The only drawback to our lodge was that is could have been a little cleaner! All the work-surfaces and splash-backs could have been cleaned to a better level and the cream sofa was stained and dirty. (hence to 8/10)

Other than that we found the staff very friendly and helpful and the restaurant facilities were very good, but perhaps needed a wider menu choice range.

That point being purely my personal view.
Scott
Date of stay: 19th March 2018

Stephen, Derby/belper
Date of stay: 2nd March 2018
Lovely lodge with two good size bedrooms at opposite ends of lodge. Surprisingly little cupboard space for food. Would like to see a screen of some description between lodges such as bamboo as decking is close to each other if everyone was sitting outside and wanted some privacy.
Claire
Date of stay: 2nd March 2018
We stayed here in march as a treat for my mum for mothers day, we also had a small dog with us. We have stayed in many dog friendly parks, and are all too familiar with the standard of dog friendly accommodation, this place is by far the best park we have stayed in. The lodge was spotless, if it wasn't for the fact that there were dog bowls and a dog goodie bag waiting for us on arrival, i'd have presumed we were in the wrong lodge! I would recommend this place to anyone who would like a nice, quiet break in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely go back there.
Stephen, Banbury
Date of stay: 26th February 2018

Date of stay: 25th February 2018
The lodge was very clean and cosy.
The fire in the lounge didn't work over the mirror.
People need to remember that there is no cooker in the Norland.
Great stay.

Date of stay: 23rd February 2018
Got the lodge at a great price for mid February.
Lots of equipment in the lodge but no DVD player which would have been ideal for us as we went away with 4 young children.

Date of stay: 16th February 2018
The lodge was amazing, warm and cosy, I couldn't keep out of the luxurious bath! Everything was provided, toiletries, towels, robes & slippers. The kitchen was well equipped with fairy, dish washing tablets, scourer, dishcloth, tea-towel and oven gloves included. Wifi was excellent and movies on demand!

Perfect !!!
Ann, Fareham
Date of stay: 12th February 2018
The Pemberley was spacious, well equipped and clean. It had everything we needed for a 'break.' You could easily cook all of your meals in the lodge and it had a dishwasher to take care of the washing up. In the good weather, you could use the veranda and patio furniture. We went in February so we didn't access them. If there is any criticism it would concern the showers. They are functional but could do with an update.
Jessica
Date of stay: 12th February 2018
Pemberley Lodge was cosy, comfortable and warm. Good wifi and TV. Good comfy beds. Lodge was clean, some of the kitchen items could have done with a bit more attention particularly the oven. Only critique was that the oven took ages to get warm, had to turn it up to maximum heat to get it going. There was no instructions on how to operate oven/microwave, I know this sounds daft but not all ovens/microwaves work the same so would be helpful for others.

Laszlo, Bristol
Date of stay: 21st January 2018
Wonderful. Cant really describe it... The entire place was so lovely... We were so impressed! A four star hotel is next to nothing compare to this place... Everything was so nice and clean... Supernice and friendly staff... Clean inside and outside the lodge, the restaurant and the whole site... Towels, bath robes, slippers, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, washing up liquid, sponge, bin bags, mugs, kettle, plates, everything that you will need... and toilet brush! They thought of everything! Supercomfortable bed, underfloor heating in bathroom, nice warm lodge, ironing board, hangers, everything... It was the best experience for us so far! And to be honest, we felt that we dont ever really want to go to a hotel again after this experience! Fully recommended, will be back for sure! Thank you very much for everything! :)
Roy
Date of stay: 19th January 2018
We had issues with the TV switching off, this was not resolved and a number of lights did not work, also not resolved. Shower head in ensuite was broken.
Susannah, Southend-on-sea
Date of stay: 12th January 2018
All my points here are just personal preferences of my own standards; The cleanliness of the lodge was absolutely satisfactory but I noticed a few small things.
In our particular lodge, there were a few minor degradations - some cracks in the walls need attention before they worsen.
The microwave could have benefited from a deep clean as it smelled strongly of what was cooked in it before we arrived, even though everything was surface clean.
Also drain cleaner in the bathroom sinks would be good as there was previous residue.
A second bath mat in there would've been useful too as my partner and I used both the bath and the shower at the same time but totally drenched the one mat. I hand washed it on day 3 as there wasn't a note whether we'd be able to swap it. We were O.K with keeping the same towels and other linens for the 4 days but any more and we weren't sure whether fresh ones would be given?
We also disappointingly couldn't pair our devices with the in-room radio system that said it would've paired with Ipods but was outdated so wouldn't pair with our Ipad. We would have liked to connect our laptop to the sound system and play our own music through it. If there was an Auxiliary input (headphone socket) we could have easily done that as it'd get around any wireless issues :)
The sofa was a corner sofa and the two halves needed to be fixed back together.
For the most part it was a lovely place to stay, none of the above spoiled it at all, this is just detailed feedback :)

Nothing on site such as small shop. Only 2 tea bags provided so when used on arrival day unable to have a cup of tea in the morning. Left personal item behind in room, rang staff the following day to retrieve staff was very rude stating room hadnt been clean yet and she would get back to me when it had and they would check if anything was left. However we were abit confused about why we were made to check out at 10am, we could have been told there was no rush in the morning. Staff finally contacted us around 3pm. 17hours after we had checked out to inform us our room was cleaned and items were found and now we needed to arrange payment to return item. A £5 charge was taken and item was returned to us. We could see on parcel it only cost £2.40 to send! This has actually put negativeity on the whole mini break and personally has put me off staying again.

The decking and outside furniture were really dirty - covered in rotten leaves and lots of bird pooh on the decking handrail - which was a bit of a shame, especially as it was a vip
lodge The coffee machine also had green moldy coffee grinds left in it. Otherwise it was a lovely lodge, very comfortable.

It will not put me off coming because every other aspect of Bath Mill is excellent I have stayed many times and will continue to book in here over anywhere else. Just giving an honest review.
Maria
Date of stay: 1st December 2017
Spacious and comfortable lodge with all mod cons available. It was surprisingly warm considering the incredibly cold weather.
There were just two minor gripes. The pillows were not the usual comfortable ones provided. The ensuite had a sever mould problem. The smell was quite overpowering and there was black mould up the walls, in the shower and the skirting had come away from the wall. We reported this to reception and they were very quick to respond. They sent staff to spray the mould and wipe it clean. However, there is a really serious condensation problem with this room and without adequate ventilation the mould will continue.
Other than that the lodge was such a pleasure to come back to in the evening, a real home from home.

This is the third Darwin lodge I've stayed in and again it was well equipped and comfortable. A smaller lodge than Canterbury or Woodside and I was surprised that wallpaper was used in the bathroom. Also, I was surprised that the bathroom had a wall mounted light switch, a pull cord would have been safer, especially as it is a six bed and you would expect some visitors to be children with little wet fingers.
Simone, Crawley
Date of stay: 27th October 2017
Great lodge only criticism would be a chest of drawers in the second room has had nowhere to put underwear et cetera and daughter couldnt reach the shelf above hanging rail

Date of stay: 2nd October 2017
Excellent stay. All fittings and furniture excellent, although getting into one side of the very comfortable bed was a little cramped. Also the floor-level lights going on in the bedroom as well as in the toilet when one of us went into the bathroom during the night was a bit disturbing.

Stayed for 3 days Friday to Monday. If you want a nice relaxing break then this is the place too go, the lodge was beautiful with everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday, walk in Wardrobe, on suite bathroom with a bath, ironing board, TVs in every room with the nice touch of having your name on the TVs on arrival. We stayed in lodge no 28 with the dog and she was just as amazed as us -) ... Best dog accommodation we have ever stayed in. Will definitely be booking in the future.

Date of stay: 15th September 2017
We have previously stayed at other hoseasons Lodge retreat sites and this one was not the best.
For the first time ever in all of our hoseasons breaks, the lodge was not cleaned to a great standard.
There was visible dust on some fixtures and dead flies on several internal sills.
The cooker (oven) needed a good deep clean as every time I used it it set the smoke alarm off (presumably there was grease or oil in the oven) that burnt every time it was on

Our second stay at a Darwin Escapes lodge and this one, like the last, was excellent. The lodges are modern and exceptionally equipped, and the grounds are very well maintained. The bistro was nice, food of good quality and lovely outside seating area. We liked the TV service, although it is a shame there is not a DVD player. Location is excellent, short drive to Bath and very easy to find. We only encountered a couple of small issues, on arrival initially there was a strong smell of dog in our lodge and paw prints over the windows and doors. This was not a dog permitted lodge so more a case of ignorance of the previous occupants than a park failing. The issue was resolved quickly as staff switched us to another lodge. The other is that throughout the weekend there were unaccompanied children riding skateboards and scooters up and down (at speed) the hill by our lodge, they were oblivious to cars and it was quite stressful watching the near misses and getting our car in and out. Only other disappointment was that the bistro closes so early for food, 1700 on Sunday.

I have given it an overall rating of 9 but only because it was clean but not immaculate. cobwebs in corners and dust and hair in corners of bath rooms.Windows were quite grubby. But other than that it was lovely. Very comfy beds and sofa. Well equipt kitchen. Nice home from home.

Only marking it down on furniture and fittings due to the fact that parts of the lodge were a bit worn. For example ripped flooring in the dining area of our lodge, dimmer switch knobs kept coming off when put on and various scrape marks on the walls and doors. Also the ensuite shower was set to boiling which we could not change.

The lodge could of been cleaner in certain areas like hair in the plughole, finger marks on the windows and some of the cutlery was dirty. The on suite shower could do with a soap holder as it didn't have one. Very comfortable bed.

We booked through booking.com who guaranteed he we found it cheaper they would price match. 12 hours later I saw it cheaper. Sent them a screen shot. They didn't look at it for 5 days and then replied it's no longer available so the price match doesn't exist. Won't be booking with them again.

Sue, Nailsea Bristol
Date of stay: 7th July 2017
The reason I have rated lower for value for money is that there was only 3 adults. and dog accommodated for no charge as special offer. If we had paid for dog and gerbils that would have been another £100 on top. Not only that if six persons shared Lodge it would not have been so roomy.
Mark, Darlington
Date of stay: 5th July 2017
The lodge was perfect.
We enjoyed the walk into Bath along the canal and getting the bus back.
Disappointed that even though we paid for our dog we were not aloud in the restaurant at all and only on 1 table for 2 people in the bar which made it impossible for us to have a meal as we were in a party of 4. Also the bar closed early on the Sunday (20:00) even though this was not stated in any literature and as we had planned on a night in the bar this was rather disappointing.
in a nutshell the lodge, area, grounds were perfect but we felt like an inconvenience because we had a dog.
Laura
Date of stay: 3rd July 2017
A lovely lodge with plenty of space, although a few suggestion points:
As a 'waters edge' lodge I would've liked to see the water, instead of it being behind overgrown bushes.
Most similar lodges provide a dishwasher tab/liquid to see you through the first day or so - we weren't aware they are not provided so had not soap to wash dishes etc. The curtains were useless as the light came on through the gaps.
Nigel
Date of stay: 30th June 2017
This lodge would have got a rating of 10 if the settee had been clean, unfortunately it was quite badly stained. Maybe washable loose covers would be a better idea.

Date of stay: 30th June 2017
Very nice lodges and surroundings. All good quality as we're the facilities but more would be nice (a spa maybe?). Staff friendly and helpful but we reported an issue with our shower that was not resolved. We expected more walks on site so slightly disappointed but we would certainly stay again if visiting the area.
Natalie, Evesham
Date of stay: 26th June 2017

Date of stay: 24th June 2017
Excellent lodge and facilities. Everything in the lodge was fantastic, however i would say that although the sofa's were comfortable its the only thing in the lodge that could do with a tiny bit tlc
Kevin, Isle Of Wight
Date of stay: 24th June 2017
The lodge was lovely, in particular bedrooms and bathrooms, kitchen very well equipped, lounge sofa could have been more comfortable.

However.. on arrival the large balcony had not been swept or cleaned for weeks !
broken tree branches and leaves covered the floor , tables were covered with thick algie as was the large L shaped sofa.
I asked for this to be cleaned so that we could use it.. was told it would be done, i reported it had not been on .. sat.. mon..and even wed, it was not till wed afternoon that the groundsman had got someone to pressure wash it...
therefore we had only two days of use.. not good enough !

Our stay was faultless, lodge beautiful, staff very welcoming, All in all a very pleasant stay. Just a suggestion it would be nice to introduce a hot tub to the patio maybe in the future, of course at an extra cost but would be well worth it ! will definitely be back infact in August for a friends 40th Birthday party in the function room, I can't wait ! :0)
Lene, Napier,
Date of stay: 5th June 2017
A spacious, well equipped lodge. Light and airy with a rustic feel which we liked. The extensive use of wooden fittings added to the rustic atmosphere.

The beds were very comfortable and bedside reading lights appreciated. Although the lodges were well orientated, I felt that some privacy screen between the main bedroom and the living room of the adjacent lodge would have improved our privacy.

As we were traveling from abroad, facilities to hang out washing would have been useful. Also the washing machine needed airing out or rinsing to stop it smelling.

Board games were a nice touch.

The lodge has everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is free wi fi for up to four gadgets, the lodge was very well equipped with central heating if required, dish washer, washing machine, flat screen televisions in the lounge and both bedrooms. Some of the cooker grill trays weren't the cleanest hence the lower mark but overall we were very pleased with the lodge and would definitely stay again.

Great cabin, very spacious and well equipped. Gutted there wasn't a wine fridge in the cabin, and only a small fridge when our other cabins had massive fridges and a wine cooler!

I booked both the Hartfield Lodge and the Hartfield Watersedge Lodge for a long weekend in May 2017.
The Hartfield Watersedge Lodge was about £50 more expensive than the Hartfield Lodge. I can't justify this price difference. Both lodges were identical and set close to a stream which had high banks, was not accessable and was not visible from either lodge. The Hartfield actually had more facilites than the Hartfield Watersedge, it had a hair dryer, ironing board and alarm clock, the Watersedge had none of these items. Neither lodge had a iPod docking station, instead you could use the bluetooth facility on the smart TV to listen to music on your phone. Which is no good if you have an iPod!!

Date of stay: 10th April 2017
The furnishings are good quality and the finish is very appealing. Our party of 8 included 4 teenagers/young adults and there was ample room for everyone to chill, including a spacious verandah. Free wi-fi for only 4 devices was a challenge though! Only 1 parking space provided outside our particular lodge although some communal spaces further away. One double room is smaller than the other. Just a few housekeeping niggles - cobwebs (one with occupant!), very small complementary toiletries in only 1 of 3 bathrooms, insufficient washing up liquid provided, no bathroom bin, information pack needs instructions for kitchen appliances. Overall, we loved the lodge, the location and little touches like games provided.

The quality of the lodge was excellent. Linen, towels and kitchen utensils were all of a very good standard. Each lodge had good separation from its neighbour and we enjoyed sitting out on the lovely deck. The furniture in both the living areas and bedrooms was very good quality and comfortable. There were no toiletries in the ensuite bathroom but presumably that was an oversight. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

A few issues maintenance wise. I e broken Bath tiles poor plumbing issues resulting in smells in lodge and stained carpet. Leaking taps . So general maintenance and upkeep and better curtains for privacy. But a very comfy lodge and lovely spot .

No. 36 is dark from having opaque windows in the loung because of it's proximity to The Mill and it could be noisy due to staff in it's car park.

Fab lodge. Really nice looking and very comfy. Only downside for me was the bed frame (all of us walked into it more than once!), and strangely everytime you flushed the toilet the shower dripped which wasn't great in the ensuite.

We booked this lodge because it was very well-equipped and convenient to the restaurant and other facilities. It also had two parking spaces alongside, which was obviously very convenient, particularly in early February! We can imagine the large and well-furnished decking would be very relaxing in warmer months.

Date of stay: 26th September 2016
We enjoyed our recent stay at Bath Mill Lodge. We booked the lodge as a last minute booking and was happy with the price but I would not have paid the full amount. The location and atmosphere was second to none and even though a short drive from Bath we felt we were in the middle of no where which was just what we was after. The lodge was clean and tidy on arrival, however a welcome pack would have been desirable. Also, the on site restaurant was good but we were rather upset when on Sunday evening the only menu available was Sunday lunches and this was not disclosed when we booked our table. Overall an enjoyable stay for a couple on their 20s.

Lovely comfortable bed. Gorgeous shower. Really liked the modern, compact but luxurious design. Found someone else's dirty sock under the bed but it didn't spoil the stay!front door didn't lock properly which didn't make me feel totally safe but I mentioned it on leaving and they took my concern very seriously so I am sure it will have been investigated.

Spacious. Everything worked. Very clean and tidy. Eating in the 'clubhouse' on first night rather than cooking for ourselves a very pleasant option. Best of all buses 5 mins walk away direct into the centre of Bath were very easy and a realistic option to parking in Bath. Yes - a good holiday

The only downside in the lodge would be bits of missing crockery, utensils and pans, would be better if an itinerary of each lodge was taken before the arrival of each new party. Fortunately for us we had three lodges for our family and borrowed from each.

Date of stay: 3rd September 2016
Lodge was well equipped and comfortable. But we had a few very small niggles, filter coffee provided on arrival but no cafetiere or coffee machine to use it and only two large glasses in a lodge that sleeps four. Guessing these had been broken and not replaced?!

The dishwasher was useless we gave up and resorted to hand washing. Also dirty cups had been put back into cupboard covered in lipstick and still stained with coffee, not what you would expect of a 5 retreat.

As said these were very minor and would not be worth a mention, but they did lower our overall opinion of the lodges which on first glance look amazing.

An excellent week away - very nice accommodation (even the cheapest type!) only downside would be no air con as we would come home to a literal oven which wasn't too nice. Other than that, a lovely stay and holiday.

Thanks to our recommendation, a work friend is coming to stay here in November! So would recommend to anyone.

Date of stay: 22nd July 2016
fabulous lodge with all mod cons except air con; this would have been really useful as we stayed during the heatwave and did not want to leave doors and windows open in the evening as we backed on to countryside with resident insects of various shapes and sizes

lovely place to walk around, and I'm sure it is a great place to stay in colder climes too, to use the underfloor heating which was the opposite of what we needed!

facilities fine; cooker, fridge, the usual, all to a high standard

great TV and sound system-couldn't quite master the Bluetooth for my Iphone but wi-fi worked just fine

fabulous indoor lighting system with PIR

parked just outside lodge so great for un/loading

stayed just shy of a week but very happy to recommend / return to...

wonderful!

There was no where to hang coats in the whole lodge. The kettle had very severe lime scale. The neighbours were allowed to park in the turning area and as we were the last lodge we had to reverse down the path every day. There was also a bad fume smell when you laid in the bath, making in impossible to relax.
Frank, Perth
Date of stay: 11th June 2016
A fantastic luxury lodge situated in a lovely peaceful location a short drive from the centre of Bath. Large well furnished decked area overlooking the brook was perfect for dining and relaxing. Although we loved the lodge the kitchen lacked worktop space due to the number of gadgets. Luxury bathrooms and supersize comfy beds helped make this a great find.

Date of stay: 4th June 2016
Our lodge was beautiful and comfortable, every detail had been carefully considered. The restaurant was also lovely and in a beautiful setting. The site is very well maintained. My only complaint is that the lodges are quite close together, for us this was an issue when children were playing football alongside our car and lodge (which is against the rules) the constant thud of a ball doesn't quite fit in with the relaxing retreat you hope for. Also, the park caters for hen parties, 2 lodge loads arrived towards the end of our stay next to us, not really the target holiday makers that I would expect this particular park to be aiming for.

In a very handy location for visiting Bath and yet feel very quiet and tranquil. The lodge itself was so spacious and well equipped

Just perfect, couldn't fault anything. We noticed that some of the reviews had commented on the cleanliness being an issue but we didn't find this a problem at all as everything was spotless and we are very fussy!
Lianne, Cardiff
Date of stay: 21st March 2016
Nice lodge, although when we arrived a bulb was missing from the dining room table? Staff were helping in replacing it.
Some of the glasses, dishes and cutlery were bit dirty when we arrived. The dishwasher tablets are rubbish, they don't clean anything. Our lodge was near a gate that seemed everyone had access to as a walk through to the field. We had two homeless people who approached our lodge and they were told security had given them the code to the gate! Personally I don't think people should be allowed to access the gate if they are not staying!
Hazel, Cannock
Date of stay: 18th March 2016
Lodge was fab, issues with the film package was our only issue. We took some new DVD's to watch but there was no DVD player like in all the lodges we have been in previously but we were not concerned as there were free films in the TV package. Unfortunately this didn't work. everything else was top notch apart from venetian blinds could have done with a clean

If I had any issue it would be the parking there's plenty of room to of had a double space outside the lodge but it only had 1 space and any other cars needed to park in parking bay which is close by but I imagine in peak season parking spots will be filled quickly.

Excellent lodge which was well fitted out, quite spacious and very good furniture, beds etc.

We did have a couple of issues with a water leak in the main bathroom which was notified to staff. Unfortunately only one of the issues was taken care of. Apart from that the lodge was brilliant thank you.

The lodge itself was lovely and in beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately the TVs in the main rooms weren't working and you couldn't send an engineer until after we checked out. The children's play area was locked.
We also had a very poor experience in your restaurant. My sister who is highly allergic to dairy couldn't eat half the things on the menu and had to wait after we'd been served for additional food to be cooked. She also had grated cheese spilt over her and had to move. My daughter ordered kids chicken curry and was served chicken nuggets in a veg curry sauce. No explanation was given even after I questioned them about it. Obviously I didn't give it to her, she had to have rice and sauce.

Fantastic lodge - came with everything that we needed and despite previous reviews we had a tea towel in ours! I would bring your own though just in case.

Dish washer tabs, washing up liquid etc all given to you (well 3 tablets and a small pot of washing up liquid) which in my opinion is fantastic!

I cannot wait to come back, already started to look for dates in the summer. My husband and I just could not stop complimenting and praising the whole layout of the lodge. It is the first time we stayed somewhere other than a hotel and don't think we want to stay in a hotel again! It was so cosy and had everything we needed. All pots, pans, utensils, cutlery, bowls, foil, dinnerware was provided. All you need is your food and drink!! Do remember to take tea and coffee because only a small amount is provided. I cannot fault this lodge one bit its beautiful! They provide a washing sponge, just bring some washing liquid or even dishwasher tablets! Great wifi connection and loads of movies available on the TV to watch.

All was perfect except that neither of the 2 shower trays was draining properly so we could not use the overhead drench shower fitting without flooding the bathroom floor. We were only there for a couple of nights so we left a note to this effect.

Last minute break, good sale offer, would be unlikely to stay at full price as expensive.
Very impressed with lodges, great setting and very near to Bath. We did P&R into the city which was very easy.
Also a great way to visit some of the great countryside and places of interest in the area.
Would come back if we could book for a similar price.

The lodge was immaculate. On arrival the heating had be put on,so it felt nice and cosy. Towels were neatly folded on all beds. There were complimentary toiletries in the bathroom and even a rubber duck, which made us laugh.
Fully equipped kitchen, everything to enjoy your self catering holiday.

It would be nice if some of the lodges had hot tubs. The twin bedroom would be better if it had some drawer space. The interior was light and airy, very clean, although not sure how this will look in another year having a light carpet and light coloured fabric sofa in a pet friendly lodge!! We purchased a bucket to wash our dogs outside on the deck area after their walks as they got quite muddy. It was a bonus to have the gate to enclose the decking, this will be excellent when sitting on the decking during the warmer months not having to worry that the dogs wandering off. There are plenty of areas on the park to walk dogs.

The Lodge was very spacious and we found it to have plenty of power points which a lot of lodges do lack, Also the lighting over dressing table is very good. The wifi is also good as there as 4 of us using it at the same time at some points and did not effect the use at all.
Bed linen and towels were nice and clean But the lodge could do with a good deep clean in certain areas like bathrooms and the oven also all of the crockery and cutlery should be checked when people check out as everything we wanted to use in the lodge it had to be washed before we could use it as some things were a bit dirty , Having said this we would visit again as this was not really a problem.

We had an amazing New Years stay here. Could not fault it, we have already recommended and friends have booked for March. Lovely lodge, clean, very spacious, had all the utensils you need and made even more fun with the board games. Close to the centre of bath too which is a lovely place to go and visit. As we visit lodges/log cabins twice a year we will deffinately be returning.

The lodge was really lovely, there was a slightly mouldy ceiling in the shower room and this did let it down a little. Otherwise the setting was lovely. Can't comment on the facilities as we didn't use any but an indoor swimming pool would've been a nice touch!
Staff on reception were helpful and otherwise everything was great!

Comfortable beds and pillows and accommodation generally well thought out. We were 2 couples staying in 6 berth accommodation and had a good weekend. I rang ahead to find out what was supplied and told that there would be tea towel, small washing up liquid and complimentary toiletries. Tea towel never materialised despite being requested; there was only one small bar of soap despite having 2 bathrooms and we ran out of washing up liquid it was a tiny bottle - about 10-20ml. We were only supplied with one toilet roll for each bathroom. Fortunately we had taken a couple with us. It would be helpful to let people know what is supplied when confirming booking. I don't want to be visiting a supermarket on holiday to buy washing up liquid and loo rolls. It was great having a dishwasher but no tablets were supplied. There was also nothing to clean work tops and cooker with. These are all fairly minor niggles but if I were coming from abroad they are things I wouldn't want to have to bring or end up buying a large pack of stuff that I wouldn't use. I would also advise people to take their own kitchen knife. There was a set of good quality knives
there but there were extremely blunt and they don't have any means of sharpening them though the receptionist did say they would look into it. We had a couple of maintenance problems which to their credit were fixed straight away. Overall the lodge was very good but given the price, I think those things could be supplied without it making a huge dent in the profits.

Date of stay: 30th November 2015
Everything in the lodge was to a high standard and can only fault one thing in that I didn't think to take basic things like, foil to keep the grill clean, oil for cooking etc but understand this could run into a lot of £s for the owners to supply. Have already made a list for our next visit!!
Richard, Weymouth
Date of stay: 21st November 2015
When we arrived it was pouring with rain and dark. The security light was off outside the lodge entrance making it difficult to get the right key in the door - there was also a black bag of rubbish which had split and been blown over the decking along with dirty linen . This was all rectified when I contacted reception but still was not the sort of welcome expected! It did mention in the write up for this type of lodge to expect a "VIP" and "concierge" welcome.

The lodge would benefit from the inclusion of a microwave (which we did expect from the write up) rather than a George Foreman Grill.
Jo, South Wales

Elegance Lodge was: Roomy - bigger than some other lodges that we've stayed in; Well equipped - especially the kitchen - with most things you could think of that you would need. Only small thing is that it does NOT have a full freezer - only an ice-box - so don't take too much frozen food! Must say - one of the better beds in lodges away - nice pillows etc. as well. Each bedroom opens into large bathroom - which some may find strange. Film streaming was a nice bonus. Wi-fi worked great too. Would stay in this lodge again.
Catherine, Truro

Beautiful lodge which had everything we could possibly need. Everything new and pristine - however I'm not sure the cream sofas will be the most practical colour in the long term., but we loved the accommodation. Very contemporary but also cosy. Would love to return sometime. We didn't have much contact with staff but when we did, they were polite and helpful.

The quality of everything in this lodge was excellent. Grandchildren loved their own TV in bedroom. Heating system was amazing but I missed having any instructions on how to use the system properly and a couple of bedroom mounted gizmos were turned off because I couldn't programme them with any intuitive button pressing, even with my years of techno training. Beautiful comfortable beds gave a great nights sleep to all 6 of us. Cooker, microwave and 4 slice toaster made a host of lovely meals. We enjoyed playing Cluedo and the fuel effect fireplace was a nice touch which made the kids feel it was a bit special. Two showers and toilets made mornings queue free!

Date of stay: 12th October 2015
Wow! What can I say this accommodation is simply stunning! Very impressive.
My only complaint is there was no microwave. We went with an 8 week old baby and a steam steriliser so this was an issue for us. We had to nip off site to buy steriliser tablets and made a make-shift steriliser from a Pyrex dish and a plate.
In hindsight if I'd have asked I'm sure they would have found us a microwave from somewhere. But..... When the kitchen had a fondue set, a coffee machine and soup maker and smoothie machine and a George Foreman grill, it did seem strange to have no microwave!
Other than that one little item missing, the lodge was fully equipped with everything we could want. (Although tea towels and extra place mats for the centre of the table for serving dishes would have been nice)
This place is truly stunning though for summer or winter.

Date of stay: 31st August 2015
Although the lodge was absolutely beautiful it wasn't very clean. There was lots of white dust which is assume was left over from the construction. This could particularly be found on drawer handles in the bedroom. There was tiling adhesive on the floor in the bathroom. We found a food packet and food under one of the beds. Our electricity fuse box blew and the lodge was left in complete darkness on the first night, although someone came out quickly to fix it, I was in the bath at the time so that was rather scary. There were toiletries in only one bathroom and not enough towels in either bathroom.
Fay, Redditch

Beautiful lodge. Very well equipped. Staff friendly.
Restaurant food ok but over priced for quality of meal served. Took 11 and 8 year old not really a place for kids needed a park in each lodge area.

Beautiful spacious lodges, beautiful setting, extremely peaceful, babbling brook meandering through the park, so tranquil, staff are really happy and friendly, pub is in a lovely setting and looks lovely inside. A real feel good place for the soul where you can feel the stresses of everyday life slipping away as soon as you arrive. We will most certainly be back
Richard
We had an amazing time,we had our 50th wedding anniversary party at the mill, the mill and the lodges were amazing and we will certainly go back there
Lisa
Very peaceful. Stream outside which was very quaint. All in a relaxing short just what I needed.
Jane
Excellent lodge, well equipped. Luxurious
Maxine
Had a great time. The lodge was a real home from home very comfortable. Only let down was not having shop to buy essential supplies.
Steven
We really enjoyed our stay at Bath Mill. Very quiet and peaceful. The lodge was beautifully presented and spotless throughout. Everything you need is there, ample kitchen equipment etc. We didn't use the outside decking area as it wasn't the weather for it, but it would be a nice space if so. We paid extra for a waters edge lodge, but I'm not sure its worth what is quite a considerable increase. Go for the same lodge away from the brook would be my advice. The bar and resturant were very good. Half price cocktails between 4pm & 6pm are popular and very good value too. Food is a bit pricey but very tasty. Staff were all very approachable and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. You can walk into Bath from the site, but there is a very good bus service too and saver tickets are well worth investing in. Car parking in Bath is not as expensive as you might think £8 approx for a day, but they do fill up quickly. We liked it so much we have rebooked, which probably tells you enough
Nicole
Absolutely amazing lodges. Was hoping their was a little more to do on site as it is a little further away from the city centre. All staff extremely friendly and helpful!! Would recommend for a relaxing trip!
Alan
Clean well equipped lodge in pleasant surroundings, convenient for Bath park and ride.
Stephen
I do not normally leave reviews but i would like to say how happy i am to recommend staying at Bath Mill Lodge retreat. From the friendly glass of champagne greeting at reception and the overall quality of the park and the lodge itself. The area is very quiet and the lodges are equipped to a very high standard and spacious with everything you need we stayed at a 6 bedroom and the extra ensuite bathroom was handy. The close proximity to Bath is also a plus , if visiting the area again would stay here.
