Break was ruined by the filthy condition of the lodge.

The location of the cabin was nice and secluded and mostly the facilities were very good. However the cabin looks tired in places and needs a good steam clean, the utensils and crockery extremely limited and not enough for four people sharing at any one time. Meals had to be adjusted to what was available. Frying pan was too small and not enough oven pots, variety of glasses etc available. Handed in a maintenance list to reception at the end of our stay to include en suite loo not draining, gas hob cutting out, bathroom skirting not cleaned properly, control knob on back room radiator fallen off and blinds in living room front window needed fixing to runner. Apart from these issues which we put up with everything else made for a lovely second visit to Bath Lodge.

Nice lodge, only things I could give a less the excellent review was the skirting boards could do with a clean and the deck area floor could be cleaned.

Lodge was very nice, very clean and had everything we needed. Lack of storage space in kitchen however it was not an issue. Beds very comfortable and loved the amazing bathrooms....

The location was beautiful. The grounds were well kept. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was lovely. The accommodation let it down terribly. On arrival there was an overwhelming smell of bleach in Newton Elegance Lodge, no. 29, and I did wonder if it was masking something nasty. We unpacked and got settled in. The Lodge was very tired, damaged in several places and not very clean. It is in dire need of refurbishing or replacing. The overwhelming smell of drains soon reared its ugly head in one of the Bedrooms so we decamped to the other Bedroom as the smell was making us nauseous. We kept the door firmly shut on the bedroom so the rest of the lodge wouldnt smell of drains. We reported the issue to Reception and drain cleaner was used in the drains but the smell returned after a few hours. I did not complain again as I wanted to enjoy my Holiday and not spend time going back and forth to reception to report the issue again. Sadly I wouldnt stay here again or recommend it due to the state and smell of the lodge.

We had a lodge meant for 6 but there was only enough crockery for 4 people. Sofa uncomfortably. Lid of the waste bin didn't stay closed which attracted flys.

A few cobwebs around the place, the sofas could have been a bit comfy.

We had a fantastic break at Bath Mill Lodge Retreat. Our lodge we stayed in was a Netherfield Watersedge. It was very clean with good facilities and in a pleasant location by the river. One evening we had dinner at the onsite restaurant which was good value for money. It was a shame that the bar closed at 8.30pm but it didnt impact our stay. All onsite staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a bus stop opposite the site entrance and a regular bus service into Bath city centre. We will definitely be back for another stay.

The lodge had everything we need for a perfect stay. Bed very comfy. Only issue we had were ants in the lodge around the food preparation area. We did report this and someone came out to try and resolve it but we still had them all week.

Poor cleanliness.Lodge is rundown and tired. Furniture is worn and stained. Bathrooms were dirty with no water pressure. Dead spider above shower in main bathroom. Scalding hot water in the en suite with no temperature control. Skirting boards were marked and dirty. Walls had water marks. Kitchen hob had a broken know and oven needed a clean.

The lodge was lovely, was a great size for 6 people and even though the accommodation allowed dogs you wouldnt realise due to how clean the property was. It was one of the nicest lodges weve stayed in.

Ideal accommodation for a short break. It was clean and the lodges were spaced out so you didnt overlook each other.

This was my third time visiting here I was completely shocked with the standard of cleaning on this site. There seemed to be more building companies staying there the regular customers . Darwin escapes has allowed this beautiful site to drop from 5 star to 2 star, I will never book with this company again.

Beautifully maintained site.. Very convenient location for visiting Bath and surrounding area. We got the bus into Bath from bus stop five minutes away from site, very convenient. Reception staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Excellent customer service. Site very relaxing and quiet. Parking right next to the lodge. Lodge spacious and well laid out. Beds comfy , had great nights sleep!. Have visited here many times over the years in various different lodges. Had a wonderful relaxing stay with everything we needed provided. My only negative would be that one of the bathroom floors , skirting and door were thick in dust.......I think a deep clean would be advisable when possible or perhaps someone to check over the lodges after cleaning has been done to ensure all areas are up to standard. Will definitely return in the future. Love it here!

Weve stayed here quite a few times now and always find it a lovely spot to unwind. The locations really handy for exploring Bath and the surrounding areas - just a quick five-minute bus ride from the stop nearby. The staff at reception are genuinely friendly and always happy to help, which makes a difference. The site itself is peaceful and well-kept, with parking right next to the lodges, which is such a bonus. Our lodge was spacious, nicely laid out and the beds are super comfy - we slept like logs! Weve stayed in different lodges over the years and its consistently a relaxing experience. Everything we needed was there. Only thing is, we noticed one bathroom had a bit of dust on the skirting and door, so a deeper clean might help. Well definitely be back - we love it here!

We had a fantastic time! The lodge was super well stocked with everything we needed, from cosy bedding to thoughtful bathroom touches like mats. Definitely a place we'd love to return to someday.

Honestly, weve noticed some decline in the lodges lately. The shower return has gone and the bathroom floor feels a bit soft, probably from water damage. The laminate around the sink is lifting too. Its these small things that make the place feel less like the luxury it used to be when we first started coming.
