Date of stay: 7th August 2017
Brilliant lodge and location, very pleasing on arrival and the pictures don't do it justice.
We couldn't find a play park and where things were (e.g bins, laundry) were not pointed out.
I was bitten in bed the first night on the leg. Just one of them things I thought bring out in the country; nobodies fault. Next night the same so I started to strip the bed and there were two flies/insects, one dead, one crawling about. I don't know that bit me but it was off putting a little.
Kids loved it and it really is a lovely site. We would definately return.
Colleen, Perth Western Australua

I hadn't stayed in a caravan for nearly 30 years and was pleasantly surprised at the facilities. The central heating was on all the time so it was cosy and warm and seemed well insulated. Loads of hot water too. Full sized cooker and superb shower, and there was an en suite too.
Keith, Bristol

Sarah, Orpington
Date of stay: 23rd August 2015
The lodge was lovely - clean and great furniture and fittings within. The only criticism would be the minimal provision of cutlery/crockery, and especially pots and pans, making it quite difficult to cater for the whole family in one sitting.
Russell, Nottingham
Date of stay: 19th August 2015
This is wheelchair friendly which means it feels more roomy than most caravans. There is a wet room shower which is easy to use though the water struggled to drain adequately.

Nice decking with seating provided
Pat, Soham
Date of stay: 8th August 2015
We stayed in a lodge which was excellent, it had everything you needed. The site was very quite and relaxing, all the staff were very helpful and friendly, it was very dog friendly. It is situated in easy reach of both the Dales and the north Yorkshire moors and only a short distance from Knaresborough. We would certainly visit this site again.
Chris
Date of stay: 10th July 2015

The lodge was number 3 which is dog friendly, extremely spacious and very new with a large 42" TV in the lounge with DVD player. 3 bedrooms the beds are very comfortable and of standard size so you don't feel your in a straight jacket.
The bedding was very clean and bright white which always rates highly with me .

Edward, Glasgow
Date of stay: 15th April 2015
The 3 lodges on this site are brand new and extremely well appointed; a real home from home with en-suite shower room off from master bedroom, two twin rooms of good size, one of which is connected to the main bathroom. The lodge has a utility room entrance and is fully centrally heated using a combi boiler and the living/dining area is separate from the bedrooms so great for families with younger children.
Sarah, Swindon
Date of stay: 11th April 2015
Brand new spacious lodge full fitted with everything you could need.

Phyllis, Sunderland
Date of stay: 17th November 2014
We had a lovely sat here and found the lodge comfortable although the sofas were very low down and there was no instructions for the cooker. Also the microwave was in my view in a very dangerous place as it was head height to some of the guests.
Maureen, Falmouth
Date of stay: 10th November 2014
this is not applicable as we were not really on holiday.
Alan, Seaham,durham
Date of stay: 10th November 2014

Site in good location for visiting York, Harrogate etc. Caravan clean and well equipped. Site clean and tidy but limited facilities. Ideal for a base to visit surrounding attractions.
Kelly, Carlisle
Date of stay: 29th October 2014
We stayed in a caravan for partially disabled, which was lovely. It was spotlessly clean, very spacious although one of twin room is only child size, the beds aren't quite single size! The other twin was very spacious and the beds very comfy. The lounge was huge, plenty of seating. TV reception was OK as was internet. Loads of storage. Don't forget you've to leave £25 deposit with reception for your key
Peter, Denmark
Date of stay: 18th October 2014
Brand new holiday home - very very satisfying!
Christine, Somerset
Date of stay: 26th September 2014
Have only given 9 out of 10 for comfort as the mattress on the double bed was not the best. We put the thin mattress provided for making a bed out of the sofa, on top of the double matress and it was fine. The bed was larger than a standard double, nice surprise.
Couldn't fault anything else about the caravan, was very pleasantly surprised, exceeded expectations & I'm not easily pleased.
Jayne, Hull
Date of stay: 5th September 2014
We had such a lovely time, really didn't want to go home. The park was lovely and quiet, the caravan was gorgeous, spotlessly clean, way better than staying in a hotel. Will certainly be back. The couple who work there were so helpful and absolutely lovely, can't fault.
Carolyn, Scotlnd
Date of stay: 1st September 2014
Lodge was clean and comfortable and larger than we had expected. Two minor problems (shower and toaster) were dealt with quickly and efficiently by friendly, helpful staff.

Stuart, Widnes
Date of stay: 9th August 2014
Lovely accomodation but the lack of things to do on site and in the immediate area meant we were very bored at times.Having to drive out every time we needed milk or a paper was a drag.Caravan also needs a bigger fridge so shopping trips can be reduced.
Alex, Girvan
Date of stay: 9th August 2014

Date of stay: 14th June 2014
We just wanted to get away from it all and that's exactly what we got. It was so peaceful, the only noises were the birds. We watched rabbits playing. Henry the peacock strutting ...all from our caravan windows. It was really relaxing.
Judy, Leighton Buzzard
Date of stay: 14th June 2014
My caravan was lovely - clean, large, comfortable. well equipped and not overlooked.

Given the holiday was paid for, the site has a cheek to ask for a £25 key deposit, albeit the money was readily returned.

On sight works caused some noise. So did the peacock, but he was magnificent!
Frances
Date of stay: 9th June 2014
What a lovely place to spend a few days, very relaxing and lots to do in the surrounding area.
Brian, Yatton Bristol North Somerset

Date of stay: 30th May 2014
Lovely park in good location. Caravan was immaculate and fully equipped with all you need. It didn't have the DVD/ games etc quoted but as it was for a short break it made no difference. Staff at the park were really friendly.
Melani, Telford
Date of stay: 12th May 2014
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff and easy to find.
Richard
Date of stay: 5th May 2014
We stayed in a lodge, although older it was spotlessly clean, some small areas in need of tlc. Kitchen very well equiped, one of the best equiped kitchens we have seen!
Rebecca, Wisbech
Date of stay: 28th April 2014
The caravan itself was brand new and we were the first to use it. The site itself is really quiet and peaceful. There are several wild rabbits running around and even a peacock. We really enjoyed watching the wild birds flying about around our caravan and hearing them chirping in the trees. It was a shame the weather was a bit wet, we couldn't explore the site as much as we wanted. We went into York everyday and explored the local attractions. We went to the National Railway Museum, explored The Shambles, learnt about the Vikings and went for a boat ride up the river.
David
Date of stay: 25th April 2014
Nice spacious clean lodge, a little dated, but that's been a bit picky. There was plenty of room for 4 adults, a teenager and 2 dogs (lab & Shih Tzu). A little close the camp road but not that busy. Only con in my opinion was the microwave position, it was quite easy to bang your head after going into the fridge. Overall again, not top class but very good value for money.
Sandra
I would highly recommend this site to friends and family. Great location, spotlessly clean everything you could ever need.
Sharon
Great position for visiting different places in Yorkshire
Sarah
Really loved this place. Quiet and central to a lot of things we wanted to see
Nicola
The lodge was absolutely beautiful, spacious and so clean, we received a call prior to us setting off, advising us of directions and to wish us a pleasant stay, which really was appreciated. Overall a fantastic holiday and a great base for trips out.
Kathryn
Lovely quiet sight went for new year and was lovely to be away from the usual hype of new year. Staff were very helpful and friendly and caravan and park surrounding really clean.
Vanessa
Usually when we go to the larger holiday park chains we get put in the poorer quality caravans because we have dogfs but this was the best caravan we’ve been in and the park was beautiful being under trees and even though it’s near the A1 it’s lovely and quiet
Patricia
we have been to this park for 5 or 6 times on the trot.Great base for York, the Dales,North York Moors,Whitby etc.The park is very quite, clean and friendly. The cabins are well maintained and very very clean,if you find anything wrong you tell the staff and it will be put right. Will be going back soon.
Cindy
A lovely place to relax and take in the peace and quiet of the surroundings, yes the A1 is close by but you don't notice it. Helpful staff, pleasant and chatty even helped us find day kennels for the dog so we could enjoy York. Brilliant dog field great for running about, grandkids enjoyed it as well especially the den in the woods, log cabin was excellent. Play area perfectly ok for kids to let off some steam, laundry as well, and a small information room all in a beautiful wooded park.
Noelle
We so enjoyed our mid-week break at Allerton Park. The accommodation was very spacious (Lodge) and beautifully presented and furnished. We enjoyed a very warm welcome from the member of staff who showed us our lodge and ran through everything. The position of the lodge was perfect and its surroundings, idyllic. Our party consisted of my elderly mum, my daughter and myself-3 generations and we ALL had a lovely time. A slightly lower mark for facilities on site only because this was a smaller, quieter park.....which is just what we wanted. Although, while we were there, we were visited by my eldest daughter and little granddaughter (who live fairly locally) she enjoyed the little play area and walking around looking for squirrels ☺️ Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet getaway and re-charge!
Linda
we loved this holiday park, it was fantastic and would highly recommend
Kathleen
This was the 6th time we have stayed at Alperton. As always the staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The weather was even kind to us, it's the first time we have gone in October. The park was clean and tidy and our dogs love to run on the field provided. Keep it up Allerton, hopefully we'll be back next year.

Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out.  It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys.  Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo.  Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.
