We had an amazing time at Allerton Park. The Caravan we had was newly constructed, modern, comfy and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent location, easy access to Harrogate, York and Leeds. We would love to go back again!

We've just returned from a 4 night stay at Allerton caravan park, and for the most part had a pleasant and relaxing stay, in tranquil surroundings, however the reason for the 2 star rating is due to the noise created by the handyman's radio. It greeted us on arrival and we'd assumed he was a permanent resident there given the way he was making himself at home but we soon realised he was the maintenance man and possible site owner. Which if it's the case makes it all the worse. For a few hours each afternoon he'd paint the decking of the caravan right next to ours, all whilst blasting his industrial grade makita radio at full volume. He made no effort to turn it down despite us returning back with two young children to get our youngest down for his day time nap and it being obvious we were in and had the windows open, on account of it being nice and warm. With the walls being paper thin there's no sound barrier and so it was more like an open air concert than a relaxing peaceful stay.If you want to blast out loud music, fine. But don't advertise your park as a peaceful escape because it's anything but.It ruined what was otherwise an enjoyable trip and we'd never return to this park solely because of him and his attitude.

We loved the peaceful vibe of this spot, perfect for exploring York, Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon easily by car. The caravans are really nice, though its a bit quiet without on-site facilities like a shop or play area. The shower block is handy but not used by us.

Wow, we were really impressed with how well equipped the place was! The kitchen had a dishwasher and a full-height fridge freezer, which was super handy. The bedrooms were nicely laid out - a double with en-suite, a twin and a single - plus a bed settee in the living room. The dining table for six was perfect. Just remember to bring your own towels. Wed definitely stay again!

Honestly, we didn't have any mobility issues, but we chose this caravan because it was the only one available and it turned out to be a great decision. The welcome we received was genuinely warm and friendly, which set the tone for a relaxing stay. The caravan itself was spotless-so much cleaner than most static parks we've stayed at, which was a nice surprise. We actually preferred it to the wheelchair-friendly options since the extra space and wet room made it feel really comfortable. Check-in was supposed to be at 4 pm, but the day before, I got a call from Mike (hope I got his name right?) offering us to arrive from 12 pm if we wanted-such a lovely gesture! The location is perfect for exploring Knaresborough, York and Harrogate, with easy escapes to the countryside after busy days. Well definitely be coming back, 10/10!
