Lovely lodge with excellent Hot Tub.
Date of stay: 11th June 2018
Extremely well laid out lodge, feels really spacious. Very comfortable bed.
The views from the decking and hot tub across the meadow are lovely - we were at the end and it was easy to forget anyone else was there though we were probably lucky that everyone was quiet and respectful of others as the lodges are fairly close together. Remember to take your own toiletries as they don't provide them but everything else you could need is there.

Cannot fault wighill manor of I tried, lovely place, great people and a really clean up to date lodge.
The only thing it would be nice to have would be wifi in the lodge, although it is nice to be isolated from social media and the rest of the world for a week and not be staring at a phone, it would have been handy to check out places to go and acticities for the time we were there.

Fantastic long weekend at Hawthorne Lodge it had everything we needed and more. Extremely, clean comfortable and well equipped. Not even cold and windy weather kept us out of the hot tub all weekend! I expected to feel cold especially at night but it was very warm and cosy would definitely stay here again.
Date of stay: 11th May 2015
The whole lodge was amazing ! Suprising to find out how nice they actualy was and the facilities from TV to heating to Radio to the HOT TUB was brilliant.

Was like staying in a 5 hotel.
Euan, Dunfermline
Date of stay: 17th April 2015
Lodge was very nice, well appointed, and spotlessly clean, as we would expect at Wighill.
We would have liked Wi-Fi, but I understand this is a problem due to local exchange.
Couple of minor points - 1. Bed in main bedroom was quite creaky. 2,Hot tub wasnt particularly hot (presumably Rupert & Melanie could have rectified this had I asked - but no big deal). 3, Leather skirting around hot tub lid was starting to perish and break off.
Otherwise, the usual high standard of accomodation that has brought us back.
Sue, Kingswinford
Date of stay: 10th April 2015

Date of stay: 23rd January 2015
We stayed in Willow Lodge at Wighill Manor Lodges Friday 16th to Friday 23rd January 2015.

This lodge has a spacious but cosy open plan kitchen/living/dining room, certainly big enough for 2 people (two person lodge). The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need, including oven, hob, large fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster and all kitchen cutlery and crockery. There is a dining table with two chairs, a living room with a coffee table, arm chair, two seater sofa, large flat screen TV, DVD player, stereo system where you can plug in your phone to play music, and radio. There is also an electric fireplace, which was wonderful, as it looked like there was a roaring fire next to you. The bathroom had both a large shower cubicle, and a large double ended bath. Towels were provided, although bring extra towels for the hot tub. Outside there is decking, chairs and table, and hot tub, although we didnt get much use out of this due to the weather being so cold. We did try out the hot tub one night though, and it was lovely and warm and very clean and well maintained.

The whole lodge was spotlessly clean and everything was arranged perfectly. There was parking right outside the lodge, loads of space between the lodges, open fields around the lodges, and beautiful views, along with sheep just behind the fence near the lodges. It was very picturesque, and very peaceful and quiet. We couldnt fault a single thing at all. It is the perfect place to go if you just want to get away from everything, and have some peace and quiet.

Something that might be important to some people is that there is no wifi in the lodges. For us this wasnt a problem, however it would have been useful to research places to go in the area while we were there, directions, prices, times and phone numbers etc.

We will definitely be returning in the future. It was a perfect week in a perfect place. We highly recommend it.
Caroline, Cumbria

Diane, County Durham
Date of stay: 10th November 2014
We will continue to go to Wighill Manor lodges as they are ideally located and of a good standard. Only suggestion I would make would be better towels (they are a bit tired looking) and also to provide extra towels for the hot tub - many other lodges we use provide this service. Wifi would be good, but I understand it is difficult due to location.
Date of stay: 3rd November 2014
Perfect break

The hot tub was well maintained & checked regularly, there was a barbecue outside, which would be great for larger parties.

The standard of our lodge remains as high as last year, and with regular visits by the owners ( for hot tub maintenance) any small problems or suggestions are quickly taken on board ! With only 5 Lodges on site , you feel there is certainly that "personal touch"!
Date of stay: 18th April 2014
We stayed at the Oak Lodge for 4 nights which was perfectly located at the end of all the lodges. Upon arriving we received a very warm welcome and were advised of the local surroundings and how to use the facilities within the lodge. The lodge itself was absolutely amazing, very modern, extremely clean and even though this was a one bedroom lodge, it was very spacious and ideal for couples! We felt that the lodge provided the necessary cleaning products and utensils to make our stay comfortable and care free, and the BBQ and it's utensils were an added bonus. Additional touches that made our break even more special were the warming fireplace and the double ended bath, very romantic! Although the temperature dropped on a night time, the lodge was well heated and was very cozy. The lodge was very secure and had a safe to keep any personal belongings in should you venture out anywhere! The hot tub was simply amazing and we used it loads during our stay, both through the day and on an evening...this feature made our holiday! Due to the location of the lodges, we were able to enjoy having our own privacy and were able to sun bathe in peace! Would definitely recommend booking one of these lodges if you are looking to have a relaxing break. We will be returning again, but for a longer stay!!!! Heaven!
Date of stay: 14th April 2014

Lovely week. Clean and well equipped. Hot tub fantastic looking out on lovely view.lots to see nearby. Would come again.
Amazing! Very relaxing, just what was needed. Perfect for half term/valentines week.
Lovely lodges! We had a brilliant stay here, loved the hot tub and was amazed at how big the bathroom was! Nice and peaceful, not too far from York. We mainly used the park and ride, it was a 15 minute drive away which was handy!
Couldn't fault it!!👍
Incredibly well looked after lodges with a very peaceful atmosphere, lots of walks and things to do near by. Very close to York and the designer outlet too.
Great place, and had everything in the lodge you would need. Perfect for a weekend away but not much to do.
This lodge is the absolute perfect way to relax and unwind for a few days. The owners are great and very helpful if you need anything. It has everything you need, is immaculately clean and very well thought out. I can’t fault it one bit!
Spotless lodge. Amazing attention to detail. So easy to park and ride into York and Leeds. Will be booking again.
Very comfortable clean lodge. Towels ok but well past their best. Check in is in the open air outside the owners house!!! May be ok in summer but think they need to look at this. It was freezing cold standing outside in the wind being asked to read + sign for the accomodation!!
Absolutely lovely lodge, which was warm and cosy. We stayed in Hawthorn, which is a two bedroom. Really clean and spacious. The beds were SO comfortable, which I have to say is not always the case with lodges we have been in before! The hot tub was great (although the weather was not) and quite private. The owner was very friendly and explained everything clearly, then we were left to do our own thing. Not far to drive to A64 to get a Park and Ride bus into York, or even to drive into York if you don't mind paying exorbitant parking fees.
Very nice and relaxing. Wonderful setting Many thanks
