We booked this place for a dog walking getaway and honestly, it was just what we needed. The accommodation was lovely and theres loads of fields nearby for walks. The pubs and restaurants are only ten minutes away too. The dog didnt want to leave! Definitely recommend for a peaceful break.

We stayed at Little Gem and honestly, its a real treasure. The cottage is so well equipped, we didnt need to bring a thing! The welcome pack had all the info we could possibly need, plus handy menus. The owners, Sharon and Rob, were quick to respond whenever we had questions. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden - such a relief! The hot tub was fantastic after long days out. Thanks for a lovely break, well definitely be back. Such a wonderful place to unwind!

We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and absolutely loved it. Rob and Sharon have done an amazing job turning this historic building into a cosy and welcoming place. They couldnt have been kinder upon arrival, along with Bonnie, of course! The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering around charming villages like Thaxted. Its a peaceful spot with everything you need for a chilled break. Highly recommend!

The owners, Sharon and Rob, really thought of everything, from the welcome pack with useful info and menus to the little extras for our dogs, which was so thoughtful. We had a lovely stay at the lodge! It really had everything we needed and the beds were super comfy. If youre after fluffy pillows, you'll need to bring your own, but thats a small thing. The welcome pack for our dog was a sweet touch - blanket, water bowl, toy and bags, which we appreciated. The style of the lodge was nice, especially walking into the utility room with plenty of space for coats and shoes. Wed definitely come back and recommend it!

We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely warm and thoughtful, making us feel right at home. The cottage itself is adorable, with its charming half-timbered style and a really powerful shower thats perfect after a day out. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it hard to leave! Parking right next door was a real bonus and the place was spotless. The walks to Thaxted were gorgeous and everything was within easy reach. Wed definitely come back!

We stayed at Turnberry 14 lodge recently and honestly, it was a pretty great experience. The place was spotless and nicely decorated - just our style. The kitchen had loads of utensils and having a dishwasher plus a washer/dryer was a real plus, especially after days out. A bigger pot wouldve been handy for four of us, but the two smaller ones did the job. They even left some dishwasher tablets, a sponge and a tea towel, which was thoughtful. We did notice a leftover drink bag on the furniture, which couldve been cleared up and we fixed a loose curtain rail ourselves. The gas hob and grill were a bit temperamental at times, but it didnt spoil our stay. Overall, wed happily come back. Thanks!

The silver VIP lodge was really lovely, such a beautiful space. The beds were super comfy and having an en-suite with a bath was a nice touch. The hot tub was definitely a highlight for us!

We stayed in a lovely, roomy lodge that felt really comfy. The only hiccup was the shower temperature-probably user error, but it took a bit of fiddling. The hot tub mats looked a bit grimy and the welcome mat was a Christmas one, which was odd since we visited in February. Honestly, just small things, but otherwise, it was a great stay!

From the moment we arrived, Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel right at home. They've put a lot of effort into converting this historic building with real care and it shows. Goddard's Mead is perfect for a chill, comfy stay. The location is spot-on too - in a lovely part of Essex. Wed definitely suggest exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages; there's so much charm and history there. Would happily return!
