Picture it. The kids are finally asleep, the kettle’s on, and the lid comes off a bubbling tub on your own decking while the light fades over Mount’s Bay or the woods go quiet around you. That’s the whole point of a hot tub holiday, and Cornwall does it better than almost anywhere in the UK!
Here’s the catch. Search for holiday parks with hot tubs Cornwall wide and nearly every page you’ll find is one operator selling its own parks, so you never see them side by side. We’ve pulled eight parks from four corners of the county into one guide, from a cliff-top retreat on the Lizard to a forest hideaway near Looe, all with lodges where you can relax in your own tub at the end of the day.
Why book a hot tub holiday in Cornwall?
Because the days here are made for being outside. You’ll spend the morning walking a stretch of the coast path, the afternoon on a beach or in a cosy pub, and then come back to unwind in the bubbles with the sea air still on your skin. A self catering holiday lodge also gives a family far more room than a hotel, with separate bedrooms, a kitchen and a deck that’s yours for the stay. It suits a weekend as well as a full week.

Our quick picks by coast
Cornwall’s a long county, and Penzance to Looe is well over an hour in the car. Pick your coast first.
- West Cornwall: Praa Sands Holiday Park for a beach on the doorstep, Clowance for a spa and 97 acres of grounds, Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat for Lizard cliff walks.
- North coast: Piran Meadows Resort near Newquay’s surf beaches, and Retallack Resort and Spa for watersports a quarter of an hour from Padstow.
- Quiet countryside: St Mabyn, a small, peaceful park with no clubhouse noise, close to the Camel Trail.
- South coast: Killigarth Manor above Talland Bay, and Deerpark Forest in the woods behind Looe.

West Cornwall hot tub parks: Mount’s Bay and the Lizard
This is the far end of the county, past Hayle and St Ives. If it’s the sands of St Ives Bay you’re after, our guide to lodges in Hayle covers the parks on the dunes.
Praa Sands Holiday Park, Praa Sands
Area: Mount’s Bay | Sleeps: up to 8 | Guest rating: 4.6 | Private hot tub: Yes | Dogs: Yes

Wake up, wander down and you’re on one of Cornwall’s best sandy beaches before breakfast. Praa Sands is a sheltered, south-facing curve of white sand about a mile long, tucked into Mount’s Bay between Penzance and Helston. Many of the caravans and lodges here have sun decks or hot tubs with sweeping sea views, and the bigger ones sleep a family of 8 across several bedrooms. When you can’t face cooking, The Boathouse bar and restaurant is on site.
Good to know: dogs aren’t allowed on Praa Sands beach from 10am to 6pm between 1 July and 31 August.
Clowance, near Camborne
Area: Praze-an-Beeble | Sleeps: up to 8 | Guest rating: 4.7 | Private hot tub: Yes | Pool: indoor | Dogs: Yes

Drive through the gates and 97 acres of landscaped grounds open out in front of you. Woodland, sweeping lawns, a lake and an old manor house sit at the heart of it all, and in spring the woods are carpeted in bluebells.
This is the one to pick if a spa matters to you, or if you’d like lake views from the deck. Clowance Spa does massages and facials, there’s an indoor swimming pool for rainy days, and you can take a boat out on the lake before a drink at the Lakeview Café Bar.
Hayle, St Ives and Penzance are all easy days out from here.
Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat, the Lizard
Area: Lizard Peninsula | Sleeps: up to 8 | Guest rating: 4.6 | Private hot tub: Yes | Dogs: Yes

Tucked in the trees above the little harbour at Mullion Cove, where a small fleet of boats still heads out, this Evermore Lodge Holidays park feels a world away from the big resorts. The luxury lodges have smart, modern interiors made for slowing right down.
The harbour wall was finished in 1895, and the cove and its island have belonged to the National Trust since 1945, so the view from the coast path has barely changed in generations. Head south and you’ll soon reach Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain. Poldhu and Polurrian, the two nearest big beaches, both have the summer daytime dog ban.
North coast and countryside: surf, spas and the Camel Trail
The Atlantic side is all big beaches, sea stacks and seaside towns like Padstow. If Newquay’s your base, our lodges near Newquay guide is worth a look too.
Piran Meadows Resort, near Newquay
Area: Whitecross | Sleeps: up to 12 | Guest rating: 4.6 | Private hot tub: Yes | Dogs: Yes

A former Best in Britain award winner, Piran Meadows sits in open countryside about five miles back from Newquay and is part of the Go Active Breaks+ Collection. There’s a tropically heated indoor pool with a sauna and steam room, a stylish bar and restaurant, and the list of activities runs from archery and pottery painting to pool-based fun for the kids. Some lodges sleep up to 12, so two families or a big group of friends can share one deck and split the bill.
Some of the lodges here have their own private hot tub, so filter for one when you book.
Retallack Resort and Spa, St Columb Major
Area: near Padstow | Sleeps: up to 12 | Guest rating: 4.1 | Private hot tub: Yes | Pool: indoor | Dogs: Yes

Love a soak after a day in the water? Retallack has a huge inflatable Aqua Park, paddle boards, a Wake Park and Cornwall’s only FlowRider wave machine, all about 15 minutes from Padstow. Back on dry land there’s a spa, an indoor swimming pool and The Lookout Bar and Restaurant.
Good to know: the outdoor watersports run from June to October half term, and FlowRider surfers must be at least 8 years old and 107cm tall.
St Mabyn Lodge Escape, near Wadebridge
Area: North Cornwall countryside | Sleeps: up to 4 | Guest rating: 4.9 | Private hot tub: Yes | Dogs: Yes

No entertainment complex. No noisy facilities. Part of the Autograph Collection, St Mabyn sits on the edge of a peaceful village with stylish lodges, spacious decks and miles of countryside to gaze at from the tub, and it’s the highest rated park on this list at 4.9. Dogs stay free, too!
Wadebridge sits at the midpoint of the Camel Trail, an 18-mile, almost level path on an old railway line between Padstow, Bodmin and Wenford Bridge. Hire bikes in town, ride the 5.5 miles to Padstow for lunch, and you’ll have earned that evening soak.
South coast hot tub lodges near Looe and Polperro
Gentler, greener and dotted with old villages between Fowey and Looe, the south coast is where the calmer coves are, and it’s a favourite for a quieter family holiday in Cornwall.
Killigarth Manor, Polperro
Area: Talland Bay | Sleeps: up to 12 | Guest rating: 4.5 | Private hot tub: Yes | Pool: indoor | Dogs: Yes

Rolling countryside, a sunny south-facing coast and Talland Bay a short stroll away. There’s an indoor heated pool and a clubhouse, and the hot tub lodges are limited, so book early.
Best walk from the door? The South West Coast Path’s Killigarth to Talland Bay and Polperro route is 2.5 miles and rated moderate. It drops down Bridals Lane to the old smugglers’ cove, then follows the cliffs into Polperro.
Deerpark Forest, near Looe
Area: Herodsfoot | Sleeps: up to 8 | Guest rating: 4.6 | Private hot tub: Yes | Dogs: Yes

Cosy two-storey lodges in a secluded river valley, set entirely within the Forestry Commission estate and surrounded by woodland and millponds. Some sit in terraces for the views, others in small hidden clusters among the trees. You’ll hear more birds than cars.
Which holiday parks with hot tubs Cornwall offers suit you best?
All eight have lodges with hot tubs, but they’re very different breaks.
Romantic breaks for couples
St Mabyn for total quiet. Mullion Cove for cliff walking, or Clowance for a spa treatment and a lake to stroll round before a romantic soak.
Family holidays in Cornwall
Retallack suits teenagers who want to be in the water all day, while Piran Meadows and Killigarth have pools and plenty of family facilities on site. Most hot tub advice says children under 5 shouldn’t go in at all. Save your soak for after bedtime.
Groups of friends
Piran Meadows, Retallack and Killigarth all have accommodation sleeping up to 12. Sharing one big lodge between two families can work out cheaper than booking two, and the calculator below does the maths.
Dog friendly hot tub breaks
Every park here has pet friendly lodges, but check the beach rules before you go, because Cornwall Council’s 2026 order keeps dogs off busy beaches during the day in summer.
| Beach | Nearest park on this list | Dog rule in 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Praa Sands | Praa Sands Holiday Park | Banned 10am to 6pm, 1 July to 31 August |
| Poldhu Beach | Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat | Banned 10am to 6pm, 1 July to 31 August |
| Polurrian Cove | Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat | Banned 10am to 6pm, 1 July to 31 August |
| Polzeath | St Mabyn Lodge Escape | Banned 10am to 6pm, 15 May to 30 September |
| Talland Bay | Killigarth Manor | Not on the council’s restricted list |
What should you check before booking a hot tub lodge?
- Which grades have tubs. On most Cornish parks only the top luxury lodge grades come with a private hot tub, so filter for them or browse every lodge with a hot tub.
- Private or shared. Everything featured here has a private hot tub on your own deck.
- Bedrooms and beds. “Sleeps 8” can mean a sofa bed, so check the bedroom layout.
- The kitchen. Make sure the accommodation is fully equipped for how you like to stay, from a dishwasher to a barbecue.
- Water temperature. Never hotter than 40°C, and the NHS advises against hot tubs in pregnancy.
- A jug of water. It’s surprisingly easy to dehydrate in the bubbles.
A tub comes into its own on a cold, clear night, so don’t rule out autumn or winter breaks in Cornwall, when the parks are quieter and you’ll have the stars to yourself. Here’s how the year shapes up.
